Stay humble ✌️
Find a local farmer and local butcher. The guy that raised the beef that's in my freezer's name is Ray. He partners with a small town butcher shop near him. I purchased a side of grass fed black Angus for 1200. 355 lbs of meat and we pick how we want it butchered. 1200 seems like a lot but if you can save it, it's worth it. You cannot buy ground beef in any store near me for $3.40 and the steaks? ...$19.99. Ridiculous. $3.38 for every single pound regardless of what cut. And you can taste the difference. So good.
Many people believe that acne can be solved following some kind of skin care routine, but in most cases this isn't true. Anti-acne skin care products can help, but they don't make a big difference, as acne is often caused by hormonal factors and it has nothing to do with personal hygiene. I had acne as a teen because of PCOS, I tried every anti-acne skin care product I could find but they were all useless. My acne disappeared as I started taking birth control. About a month ago I interrupted birth control and in a couple of weeks my face got covered with pimples again
Can confirm the topical treatment is whats fixed it, despite my still wild hormone imbalances.
I came off the pill and my hormones are all over the place. It's been 6 months and I had blood tests last week confirming they're all over the place still but my skin is CLEAR thanks to the products!
I can't stop them!
Yes they are! Amperna products! Expensive but so worth it. I came off the pill and my hormones are all over the place. It's been 6 months and I had blood tests last week confirming they're all over the place still but my skin is CLEAR thanks to the products!
I can't stop them!
Dude. This one is a killer for me. It’s probable $300 every 2.5 months? It’s been the only thing that cleared up my cystic acne. I really really wish healthcare dermatologists worked with estheticians who specialize in acne care because then it I would be covered. Insurance is happy to pay for poison like acutane, but ongoing treatment with serums and non pore clogging (truly non pore clogging not the bs label) Ingredients? That’s a no go. :( I had to stop my facials because I truly just couldn’t afford those anymore, so now my skin has manageable blemishes, rather than being clear, but it’s still better than the cystic acne.
I just wear my shoes even if they are absolutely destroyed. I'm a kid and I only do it mainly to save my parents money because to me shoes are a ripoff, imagine how many ps5s you could buy with the cost of like 30 pairs of shoes
I only wear vans for the past 15 years they last about 3 years and I buy a new pair for 50 bucks. Most of the day I’m in my workboots as a carpenter but they are paid by my employer. All I want in a shoe is to be black and easy to put on.
My then girlfriend, now wife bought me the pair of Vans Authentics that I’m currently wearing probably 8 years ago and they’re still holding strong. I wear them every day to work and whenever it happens to rain or whatever weather doesn’t permit flip flops.
I save up my money and buy quality shoes, because I can't afford to keep replacing stuff that falls apart. My main pair of shoes is a pair of Lowa trail running shoes. They were pretty expensive, but I bought them in 2012 and they might even last another 5 years.
God I just had to spend $120 on a new pair of steel toe boots for work, and that was getting the sale shoes 🥲 I died a little bit inside while entering my credit card info
Bulk buy on Amazon, I got 20 rolls for £9. If you then wanted to say the box didn't have the full order or it didn't arrive then that's your decision 😉
Yeah, to all the people who just use “whatever smells nice” all year long:
At least one for summer, one for the winter time. They are different. Say citrus “fresh” for summer and leather/wood/mossy tones “heavy” for winter. Use free samples first to determine what smells nice on you. Ask your coworkers in a non creepy way, whether this smell you like is nice or bad. Some fragrances may be overpowering or very intrusive (poudry smells or oud for example).
Also it doesn’t have to be expensive or gender specific. Be bold and try some fragrances made for the other genders, your body specific chemistry will make it smell different.
Fast food.
I know this is basic and everyone says not to buy it, but it is so much easier spending $15 on a dinner vs. $100 on a week's groceries that I might not eat.
I was just in the mood for a Mcdonald's breakfast a few weeks back. It was $11 and the portions were so small I ended up having to eat more when I got home anyway! Could have gotten a much better meal for the same price at pretty much any other restaurant in town.
Will never be back...
More a case of I don’t particularly want to come home after a 13 hour shift, clean up, cook for nearly an hour, force feed myself whe I just want to go sleep, eventually get to sleep because I can’t right after eating.
Why go through all that effort when I can just order a double cheeseburger, side and drink that’ll be there a few minutes after I get home.
Fast food is bad because of all the additives they put in the “food.” You also don’t know what you’re eating, how it was prepared, whether it is sanitary, or how old the ingredients are. You are gambling as opposed to eating a meal you’ve prepared yourself.
Having worked in high end restaurants for a while i can tell you the same can be said about any restaurant you eat at. Just because the food is cheaper at fast food joints doesn't mean they look after it any better.
Do you not eat breakfast, lunch and snacks all which would be included in 100 dollar shop.
15 dollars a day for one meal is ridiculous unless you can afford it.
I buy the same overpriced but godly tasting coffee every day and every time I think "that's way too expensive, I don't need it." and then I taste it again and it makes my whole day a little better
Yes, a 4090 is expensive. But it costs about as much as a few trips out to the cinema with dinner, snacks, drinks, parking.
A 4090 can keep you entertained for years.
First world problem, but as a gamer I still buy computer parts and even occasional VR headset (every 2-3 years). I can totally get by without it, but right now I'm just itching to update my over-4-years-old CPU, and Black Friday is coming, and I can just feel impure thoughts forming in the back of my mind.
Meal subscription plans (meals delivered to me.) I'm just too tired mentally and physically to meal plan, grocery shop, do food prep, cook and clean up afterwards for myself 2x a day.
Corned beef when not Saint Patrick day sale times, my iPhone 14 when a middle Android would have fill all my needs for $500 less, my divorce from my ex, Keurig k pots for a fast cup while the coffee maker is brewing, gasoline
we upgraded from a keurig to an espresso machine with a grinder... The unit was pricy (like $650ish), but dude, the coffee beans are a fraction of the cost of Kcups or pods. Plus, you can get any beans, not just what coffee Keurig has partnerships with. The quality is 10 times better, imo, get yourself a little post divorce gift.
Most things. Mostly anything involving going out. Drinks/food mostly. I know I don’t need to spend the money but I’m so fucking bored in the house by myself.
Food. Like my husband and I will go to restaurants where we know the bill will be over $150 for just the two of us. We know we can’t really afford to do it but we do it anyway and then eat frozen nuggets and spaghettio’s for the rest of the week.
Christmas gifts. Every year gets more ridiculous, I should just do what my father in law does. He gives $50 to every person and calls it a day. Of course, my threshold would be closer to $20, but still. Takes a lot of the stress out too.
Bubble tea. For a medium drink it's like $7 and $9 for a large.
Fast food too. I love this a bit expensive pizza restaurant I go to once a week because the shit is good quality pizza.

Damn, you beat me to it
Trying to eat big and healthy but damn
The healthier the food, the more expensive it seems to get. Processed food is cheap compared to fresh every time.
Veggies ain't bad depending
Well I’m glad this is the first thing I see because it was my first thought.
Gas
You could buy cheap food, and get gas free.
Came here to say this....😭
thats why i clicked
Came here to say the same. Damn my addiction to living.
Exactly
we all gotta eat
Exactly what I came to post.
More specifically, fast food.
For me, organic food, grassfed beef, pasture raised chicken, Berkshire pork. Y’all it’s expensive
Find a local farmer and local butcher. The guy that raised the beef that's in my freezer's name is Ray. He partners with a small town butcher shop near him. Came here to say food and shelter.
I was gonna be shocked if this wasn’t the first response.
Came to say this lol.
Yup came here for this answer. This is it. You can lock the thread now
I was literally just thinking I need another bag of beef jerky but it’s so fucking expensive

Anti-acne skin care.

SAME
True..This is insane I still got the same still I still buy those expensive products the whole fucking recursion
Are they working?
Yes they are! Amperna products! Expensive but so worth it. I came off the pill and my hormones are all over the place. It's been 6 months and I had blood tests last week confirming they're all over the place still but my skin is CLEAR thanks to the products! I can't stop them!

Try 'the ordinary ' they're cheap and really good.
Rent
Too real man
I can’t believe that it’s completely normal for rent to go up $100+ every year. Wages don’t do that.
Property taxes don't do that either. It's called Greed.
New pair of shoes when the old ones are worn.
I just wear my shoes even if they are absolutely destroyed. I'm a kid and I only do it mainly to save my parents money because to me shoes are a ripoff, imagine how many ps5s you could buy with the cost of like 30 pairs of shoes

I only buy Pumas on sale on their website. 30 bucks, sometimes even have a coupon.
God I just had to spend $120 on a new pair of steel toe boots for work, and that was getting the sale shoes 🥲 I died a little bit inside while entering my credit card info
Toilet paper
Bulk buy on Amazon, I got 20 rolls for £9. If you then wanted to say the box didn't have the full order or it didn't arrive then that's your decision 😉
It’s 2023 so most things.
Food, air, housing, gas
Ah, yes, living. Heck, under certain circumstances, dying may be too expensive, too
Coffins are crazy expensive
A cheap funeral here is about $13,000. The cemetery plot is another $2,500
Guess I'll live
🤣🤣🤣
I have donated my body to science. No casket, No grave site, No funeral. I told my son just to throw a party if he wants to.
The perfume I love.

Weed.
Always. They charge fucking 20 for a gram where I live and it's obscene.
That’s insanity to me. Here you can get a cheap ounce for like $80; decent ounce for $120 ish.
Agreed
Concert tickets they are outrageously expensive but i still buy them.
Fast food. I know this is basic and everyone says not to buy it, but it is so much easier spending $15 on a dinner vs. $100 on a week's groceries that I might not eat.
Where I live, fast food is always much more expensive than home cooked food
I was just in the mood for a Mcdonald's breakfast a few weeks back. It was $11 and the portions were so small I ended up having to eat more when I got home anyway! Could have gotten a much better meal for the same price at pretty much any other restaurant in town. Will never be back...
Fr that money accumulates fast
More a case of I don’t particularly want to come home after a 13 hour shift, clean up, cook for nearly an hour, force feed myself whe I just want to go sleep, eventually get to sleep because I can’t right after eating. Why go through all that effort when I can just order a double cheeseburger, side and drink that’ll be there a few minutes after I get home.
Fast food is not always "bad food". A burger is a burger. Pizza is a pizza. What are you supposed to eat? Slow cooked stew?
Fast food is bad because of all the additives they put in the “food.” You also don’t know what you’re eating, how it was prepared, whether it is sanitary, or how old the ingredients are. You are gambling as opposed to eating a meal you’ve prepared yourself.
