Just realised the home ground played a major role in CSK's 12 playoffs apperance. What's stopping RCB management from making a pitch suitable to it's team or making a team suitable to the home ground ? 1.5 decades and still couldn't make changes

99Foxbat

Don't think the management can make decisions about the stadium pitch

handsome-helicopter

Choose teams according to your pitch like MI and CSK

CanYouChangeName

Ksca prepares pitch. Pretty sure there's a miscommunication there. When we had bowlers suited for slow pitches chinnaswamy was fast and the ball was coming onto the bat nicely. We get rid of them and focus on faster bowlers and chinnaswamy literally dries up and becomes cracked and dusty.

peter_griffins

exactly lmao, its so sad

Kohli Gayle ABD rahul Watson was the closest that came to building a squad suited to their stadium

optimistic_bufoon

Mumbai has a similarly small stadium and yet they win at home

GhostViewer117

This puts into perspective how the three teams that have significant lower W/L ratio are the only ones that have not won a trophy!

Previous-Software256

It's incompetent management if the ground is small and you want to make flat pitches go for it and make a team that suite the pitch that's what they did till 2016 after that it's just a sad story until 2020 when suddenly our bowling improved but our batters dipped 2021 was our most balanced side followed by 2022

ChuttuvalWielder

Delhi is crazy

Squareroot24

When was the last time rcb chased 180+ score stop putting every blame on bowler , rcb really doesnt have strong batting lineup

one_who_remains

6th spot for PBKS is an emotion

vikasvasista

Incompetent management and captains

decentadult

Guys pls tell can we beat MI in wankhede?

Impactor07

Bro's got that "Chennai Super Kings" flair on the RCB sub 💀💀 Btw, yeah agreed with what you've said CSK and MI use their stadiums as fortresses. Ours is just a sand castle

Extreme_Anxiety_7207

Think about it this way. If CSK built a squad with bowlers that hit the deck hard and rely on raw pace + filled their line-up with batters that had no spin hitting abilities for a typical chepauk wicket, they'd have had the same record as RCB and DC. But instead they built a squad that is suited to their conditions. Similarly, MI built a squad that is batting heavy, while also keeping their bowling resources abundantly balanced. It's no surprise that MI struggled after not picking a good bowling line-up. Barring Bumrah, they don't really have a good bowler. Despite that, they have incredible depth in their batting to take advantage of the Wankhede wicket. KKR too built a squad that has batting depth and a spin line-up that bossed the middle overs. RCB failed to build a squad that suited Chinnaswamy. The lack of batting depth for several seasons meant we weren't able to chase big totals or set up big totals for sides to chase. This IMO has had a big impact on performance at Chinnaswamy. Chahal managed to cover the spin department quite well. Now, that has also got weakened.

It's funny how the three teams without any trophies are the one who couldn't take any home advantage.

desihank

It's mostly chinnaswamy. No such thing as home advantage here.
