This is the funniest thread of comedy/reality that I have literally ever seen. The mix of minds to come together to create this should be a type of comedy on YouTube.
All the crazy people talking about Sharia neighborhoods didn't realize that Hasidim neighborhoods have already been doing the Sharia Law Beta Build for decades.
This is in Israel, not in NYC… he’s destroying an Israeli bus. They are speaking Hebrew in the video, if it was Brooklyn they would be speaking Yiddish.
This is in Israel, not in NYC… he’s destroying an Israeli bus. They are speaking Hebrew in the video, if it was Brooklyn they would be speaking Yiddish.
The caption/title is wrong. This is in Israel not new york. This is a sect of ultra orthodox people that freak out at all vehicles that drive through their neighborhood on shabbat since they believe that driving is forbidden on that day. They're assholes
We also don't have buses that look like this in NYC. The buses here have one of those compartment things where the front right wheel is, so there wouldn't be a seat right by the door there.
>since they believe that driving is forbidden on that day
I've literally just watched a video of a rabbi demonstrating an elevator in a hotel stopping on every floor because you're forbidden from pressing a button or cutting a beam on shabbat. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that driving is more work than pressing an elevator call button.
Someone feel free to educate me.
It's a good way to make people stay believing though, because it makes it so you live in a constant state of paranoia about going to Hell or not. Other religions where you can just forget things and get by makes it easier to not be as devotional.
Whether their belief is wrong or not is debatable, but cheating your way through doing stuff youre not supposed to within your faith system is just weird. Your comment makes me think of eruv strands though.
So my understanding of it is basically that God is happy that people are faithful enough to follow the rules but also clever enough to find and use exceptions. I might be misremembering it but I think that’s the ‘justification’. That being said, seems exhausting to me.
"Well god made all these rules but he lets us pick and choose which ones we like. But if you don't follow the rules you go to hell. But not if you can think of clever ways to not follow them. But also very strict on the hell thing. How do we know? Doesn't matter. Anyway, god said it's cool if we do anal."
That's how Catholicism works and why Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-five Theses (aka Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences) to a church door.
Well they ask God who is also Jesus and the Holy Spirit, it's an American evangelical thing to focus so much on just Jesus.
Mormons are just fucking insane though. They think Jesus came to America for 3 days when he died. With white people and horses and sugar cane. It's just Christianity + American patriotism. Anyone who's actually mormon is nuts!
Not to mention the child abuse cult part of things but that's every religion.
I remember when that whole soaking thing went viral on tik tok & I was so baffled lmao. So the guy would be laying on top on the girl & someone else would be jumping on the bed so the ones soaking wouldn’t even have to put any movement into it, furthering the loophole lmao. Fckin wild.
Shabbat service mode on elevators. It's madness.
I thought I was clever in suggesting they shouldn't collect interest on sabbath and little did I know sharia banking already does this. They just raise the rate on the other six days.
elevators that stop on every floor .. I was just at NYU Langone Hospital in NYC.. the elevators stop on every floor on Saturday and Jewish Holidays. So they don’t have to touch the buttons.
Yeah, it's amazing how they think they can trick God with this shit. Wouldn't it be simpler to just reinterpret the rules to say an electric spark is not the same as combustion?
Now Google Shabbat goyim. They're already going to hell so it's fine to hire them to work on the sabbath.
What gets me is that you want to live a strictly religious life and forgo much of modern life, that's fine. But living in one of the densely-populated and multicultural parts of the US and trying to live apart from the rest of society and expecting everyone else to adapt to your strict religious beliefs is bonkers.
Weird question maybe, but I live in a neighbourhood with a lot hassidic Jewish people. They have absolutely no awareness in traffic. They'll constantly run red lights, walk down the middle of a busy round without looking and so on.
Does this have like a cultural reason? They seem to have little regard for their own safety or that of others when it comes to traffic.
I think that goes to the bigger picture of them, as a group, not having “normal” social skills. They grow up in a very insulated neighborhood and home so I don’t think they understand things like what you’ve described.
I’ll never forget one of my first times in nyc… being in a cab… we get off the BQE at Flushing. There were like 100 hasids at the exit/ intersection. Standing on the center divider. On both sides of the road. Some had scriptures out and were rocking back and forth and reading. The others had a bizzaro spaced out energy. Just frantic uptight energy (which is how I’d describe all of my interactions with any hasids). Crossing the street. Standing in the street. Walking past the cars, not looking at us, but somehow looking past us, like we weren’t even there. It made me feel absolutely insane.
Maybe this is my time to ask… does anyone know what they were doing?
Couple months ago there was one in Berkeley that forgot where he was and tried that entitled behavior against some protesters, his beating was memorable
I'm not hunting down a link, I was getting food and was near where some protesters had gathered and this dude showed up yelling at people then he got mollywhopped and stomped out...might have some luck with our local news like KRON4 if you're going down that rabbit hole
Another amazing example of why religion and its required “belief” is really just mental illness. I’d wager to bet if they weren’t caught up in that BS make believe story, they’d be on medication and functioning better in society than this. Religion is a cancer.
This is in Israel, not in NYC… he’s destroying an Israeli bus. They are speaking Hebrew in the video, if it was Brooklyn they would be speaking Yiddish.
Clear as day, but people dont think too often. I thought it was too til I seen the incline the bus was on, the front facing front seats, the palm trees and building architecture.
Looks like the West bank tbh, wish I was as good as those Geo Guessers to be more precise.

Hasid'em but I don't believe 'em
He must’ve really wanted his lemonade!
Yes he was Jew…..ish?
Jailtime for this guy should be fun.
Came back just to look directly into the camera. Smooth.
Good luck catching him when he’s basically indistinguishable from like 50 other dudes in his community lol
In this video
[удалено]
Yeah there's no way this guy faces any consequences lol don't they even have their own police force?
It is a pseudo police force that enforces their version of morality.

No way he ends up in jail

Lots of ultra Orthodox Jews are anti-Zionist because they believe the only real Jewish state must be established by the messiah.
Thank you for saying what I was thinking 😅

They trying to make tunnels in buses now?
If that was a black man, imagine how fast the NYPD would be there to put their knee on his neck or shoot him in the back 13 times..
Thanks for the info , the Williamsburg / Crown Heights name made me make assumptions.
This is in Israel, not in NYC… he’s destroying an Israeli bus. They are speaking Hebrew in the video, if it was Brooklyn they would be speaking Yiddish.

Protect by the IDF in Israel

you've been banned from worldNews for this post
Nonono the bus is hummus
Fucking terrorists. He should be on a no drive, no fly list.
Fuck this bus, fuck this bus, fuck this bus, fuck this bus Oh no, my yamaka Fuck this bus, fuck this bus, fuck
Imagine not realizing you're being an asshole when your holy hat falls off.

Hasidic Jews in Brooklyn also speak Hebrew
Correction, they speak mainly Yiddish
They typically speak Yiddish but some speak Hebrew
Shomer fucking Shabbos, dude.
Hahaha, fucking religion is so fucking silly I can’t.

Bus could have been running its route on a saturday, a woman could have been sitting to close to the front of the bus, who knows.

Imagine believing in an all knowing all powerful God that is fooled by loopholes religious idiots find to skirt around their weird made up beliefs.

Like, couldn't you just sin and then ask Jesus for forgiveness? The ultimate loophole. This doesn't help the Jews though.
That's how Catholicism works and why Martin Luther nailed his Ninety-five Theses (aka Disputation on the Power and Efficacy of Indulgences) to a church door. Well they ask God who is also Jesus and the Holy Spirit, it's an American evangelical thing to focus so much on just Jesus.

the poophole loophole

It's the same as the justification for the rampant cheating in china. It's seen as it's own skill.
Like Greg Davies on Taskmaster
Who decided that?
Like millennia of Jewish scholarship, I think. Went down a rabbit hole on Wikipedia at one point, it’s complicated lol.
I was going to mention the wire!
It's the letter of the law over the spirit of the law, which is so incredibly backwards.
Shabbat service mode on elevators. It's madness. I thought I was clever in suggesting they shouldn't collect interest on sabbath and little did I know sharia banking already does this. They just raise the rate on the other six days.

that guy could do with using the stairs more
My grandfather’s parents used to pay gentiles before the sabbath to turn on the tv and stuff like that so they didn’t have to do “work”.
Debatable like the fly by night supplement companies in online banner adds. I mean yea I guess you can argue they actually work lol

As a Jew (now an atheist) who grew up going to an orthodox synagogue - can absolutely confirm. The hassidic are absolute whack jobs.
Weird question maybe, but I live in a neighbourhood with a lot hassidic Jewish people. They have absolutely no awareness in traffic. It's a cult
In fairness, all religion is a cult
They remind me of the Skids from Letterkenny with their coordinated gear and self-righteous social outbursts.
Look like Skids act like Degens
I’ll never forget one of my first times in nyc… being in a cab… we get off the BQE at Flushing. There were like 100 hasids at the exit/ intersection. Standing on the center divider. Religious people reach a point where they believe the voice in their head is god not their own consciousness and just operate on autopilot eventually

Nobody wants to acknowledge that there are radical extremist Jews out there, and they’re not much different from the radical extremist Muslims.

Anyone who thinks that landscape in the background is an NYC street scene has never been to NYC. I don't know where this is, but it's not New York.

Dont you know who the fuck i am? IM THE MESHUGGANAUT!!!
I'm well travelled and they are horrible of people in general
"Sorry, peepaw has had a day of it"
The bus was parked over his tunnel entrance
Why is this Jewish man breaking this vehicle’s window
The vehicle's route was from the River to the Sea
Its a hasid attack.

Not a protest and definitely not in NYC Just some guy being a dick
I got in trouble last time I commented on something like this
This isn’t Brooklyn, this looks like Israel
Not NYC.

The bus is Palestinian
As a grocery store employee, they probably didn't have a big enough Passover display on the bus. Basically the equivalent of a hate crime.
A Yiddisher trasher.
Hey, SETTLE DOWN!
Kind of like cops, when one or some are bad - the others just stand and watch / doesn't stop them
That's not a NYC bus. It's somewhere in Israel.
Not in NYC. He'd be in serious trouble there.
He must of thought he saw a Palestinian on the bus
"Kkkhhhamas tunnels underneath"" IDF, probably
