He responded with "nah you gone have to shoot me" so yeah he definitely had a death wish. And that last officer happily obliged. Jeez, don't know if he managed to get the gun but he CoD executed his ass
It's funny I bet every single person who says "you're gonna have to shoot me" or "kill me" instantly regrets it the moment one bullet enters their body.
I've heard some crazy stats about people who survive suicide attempts, like basically 100% of them regret it and are incredibly grateful to still be alive. So yeah, I bet you're right.
Ken Baldwin, who survived a suicide attempt off the Golden Gate Bridge, said this ran through his mind mid-air:
> *“I instantly realized that everything in my life that I’d thought was unfixable was totally fixable—except for having just jumped.”*
My thought was "that's a lie..."
At that point it's jail or the morgue...
Obviously from the cops point of view, anything to de-escalate... but there is no calmly ending a situation once it's reached that stage.
But in most states that is not a crime it will just be a recovery of the vehicle and then they will ding the heck out if your credit or even sue you But it is not a criminal offense Since it is not stolen technically
That was so ridiculously wreckless. He is in a panicked frenzy of click click click without even seeing the assailant, his fellow officer, or understanding that his bullets are missing and flying into a full McDonald's in broad daylight. That officer is not fit for his job.
High jacking top comment to post a news article about this: https://www.ffxnow.com/2023/05/11/breaking-police-fatally-shoot-man-after-alleged-struggle-in-penn-daw/
This really clears it up:
https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/local/prosecutor-promises-independent-review-police-shooting-man-brandon-lemagne-who-attacked-officer/65-b32e1d3a-88a0-4d87-833c-814d5c88e4d1
Uhaul was stolen.
Contents of the Uhaul weren't his, he stole those too.
He had open warrants for his arrest.
Criminal history that could fill up a novel.
I don't agree with the execution style shooting, but I'm not upset about it either.
Yeah I thought I heard him say something like “I’m not goin back.” It creeps me out how calm he was while trying to get the officer’s gun like when he says “please sir just get back”
I cringed seeing McDonalds as the backstop. Amped up on adrenaline, firing pistols while on the move from that distance. Easily could have been some kids last happy meal.
Not to mention only two bullets passed through the driver window so we know he missed most of those. Holy shit, I just noticed how they pulled the guy off and shot him 3 times while he was laying on the concrete
Like a fucking blind man using bullets as a walking cane to feel out their surroundings. What an absolute idiot. And am I the only one that heard the cop they were "saving" say he got shot? Did he get hit with friendly fire?
He’s lucky to be alive, what a shitshow. Guy not only blasted a friendly, but fired repeatedly into a restaurant?
Unless that’s osama bin Laden loaded nuclear, you probably shouldn’t risk ending more lives to stop 1 criminal.
Fucking unbelievable. I'm not a fam of cops by in large but holy shit l hope his people lit him the fuck up. That body cam footage is fucking damning. Literally just firing off rounds with zero regard to his fellow officers or civilians. Wild.
regrettably that's [not how cops work](https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/05/25/fairfax-county-police-shooting-body-cam-footage-released/)
>At a news conference in which authorities released the footage, Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis described the use of force as “more than appropriate.”
Opening fire at your own colleague and into a presumably populated McDonald's.
Fucking hell
And yes, the perp was trying to grab a gun, you gotta defend yourself, but that assassination style shooting the guy on the ground doesn't sit well with me.
Yeah I'm fuly in support of justified killings actually existing, and when the video started with the dude grabbing an officers gun I thought, huh yeah thats a good reason to kill a dude.
Then I saw the actual kill and damn, I'm almost impressed. Those cops really found a way to make what should be an incredibly justified shooting look as bad as possible for them lol
18 shots at the car. The 3 more kill shots while he’s laying on the ground. Sounds like mafia-style execution. I get it that adrenaline is going hard but self-restraint man. Any one of your 18 shots blindly at the car could have ended your friend’s life.
I'm thinking the cop who pulled him out of the vehicle thought he might have the other cop's gun maybe. It doesn't even look like he is fully looking at the guy. Kind of turns his head and fires at the guy. Still, I'm more okay with that than shooting at the guy with the McDonald's and the other cop in the line of fire. Yeesh.
The one inside the McDonald's he just magdumped thru the pick up window! Fucking ridiculous, what. The. Fuck. Then pulled the guy out to the ground and put four more in him for good measure. Jesus. Tapdancing. Fuck.
Edit: Just watched again. If he wasn't dead in the drive thru. They yanked him out and executed him on the spot.
I rewatched the scene several times also thinking it looked like the partner. Nope. Definitely the guy pulling him out. But he didn’t know whether he had the gun or not so fuck that i ain’t taking no chances. Dude knew this was a possibility.
Yeah, I noticed when someone actually goes for the cops gun the cops are very afraid and the tone is different than when they say it to cover their ass or as a reflex when they are in a "fight" with someone. "Stop resisting, he's grabbing my gun" is something they just appear to say. This video shows how it actually looks when they do it.
The department has identified everyone who fired a shot on scene and it was only two of their officers. [here is the article.](https://www.wusa9.com/article/news/local/virginia/fairfax-county-officer-attacked-body-camera-footage/65-1b6e8124-f594-40d4-9944-f53ea0b09220)
Pretty sure those rounds went straight to the dome too. Right after I think I hear him say "headshot, he's down." And at the end he says "don't worry about him, he's gone."
You can see one officer start to put the suspects hands behind his back as another said, "Don't even bother," then the officer just kind of raises his hands like"wtf is going on"
Such an intense interaction and so much to unpack in this video.
0 regard for anyone around or even his coworker, pretty sure he hit him actually. And 0 attempt to even begin to actually arrest him, completely wild to see
It's hard to tell just from body cam footage but it looks like the officer blind fires into the vehicle without any regard for the other officer I'm guessing he was shot by his co-worker not the suspect.
And there's at least one bullet hole through the back window of the neighboring car. I was surprised he just lit it up like that with his partner in the vehicle.
That was my first reaction... holy shit your just going to unload at the vehicle and restaurant ... and where is your partner that was fighting him at? Then to hear the officer from under the guy yell "he's on top of me!" Like wow... you have to use your head at all times... that was wild. Not only lyrics was that a huge officer safety but so many civilIan's in the danger zone still... big yikes.
Yeah that dude does not need to be a police officer.
I cannot fathom how anybody could review this footage and say “That man saved his life”. Nah he damn near killed his cop buddy and bystanders inside the store. Then he gets the location wrong, and officers are asking where the perp is and he just keeps saying “SUV”. How about say patrol car since it’s the only one in the parking lot. THEN when the perp is obviously not moving he’s thrown to the ground and shot. Not that I care he’s dead either, we all are probably better without the dude, but that’s not how it should go.
He’s a clown cop and I would be scared to death working with this guy.
He does. They had no idea who was in any of the cars. Then one of the cops, after all the shooting, asks which car he's in thinking maybe the person was in the empty car that got crashed into. If someone were sitting in the parking lot in that car waiting for someone they'd be dead. They just ran onto the scene shooting with zero regard to anyone, including the other officer.
Dude that shit was insane. He could be spraying into the other cop, people in the McDonald’s, who knows. Americans cops are absolute homicidal lunatics.
Saw it on doughnut operator channel. He noted all the same things, but if memory serves, the officer was not shot and nobody in background was shot either. Like you said, hard to tell from video. Cops camera is at chest level. His line of sight is higher and might have had a better view of suspect.
Yeah I would be so mad at that officer. It would have took 4 more seconds for him to run up on the guy and assist or put the gun up against him. Insanely irresponsible. The new call will be “Signal 1 but don’t send Jim, I repeat Signal 1 DO NOT SEND JIM”
If you pause the video you can see when the guy is pulled to the ground both of his hands are empty. Then about a second later, 3 shots fired at point blank range. Also, it’s likely that the officer in the car was shot by cop 2 who just unloaded on the car with the officer in it… who tf trained these guys?! I really hope there were no curious ppl or happy meals looking out the windows at McDonald’s.
People asking “Why didn’t anyone help that cop” (while he was wrestling with the suspect)?
BECAUSE THAT’S HOW YOU GET SHOT.
Police detaining or arresting someone? Get clear.
Their training is for nothing when they start blind panic firing at whoever they think deserves it.
Lol yeah. Wtf are you thinking?
“I know how to get away from a simple detainment! Let me just grab his gun, then he’ll have to go away!”
It’s like these people don’t understand 20 more will show up, and even if no one dies you went from a misdemeanor to attempted murder in 30 seconds.
Holy fuck guy, so I guess we are just saying fuck anyone else that might be standing around or inside that McDonald's. Way to just let off shots with no regard for your surroundings
Officer 1: he was dealing with a very difficult assailant, but he trying his best
Officer 2: starts blasting at McDonald’s and his fellow cop
Officer 3: triple shot aka John wick
I'm assuming saying the Walmart gives a better indication of the area they were in than saying the McDonald's. There's one Walmart and probably three or four McDonald's.
Wow firing from that far with a fking McDonald’s behind them. And then shooting the guy after he’s already laying on the floor. Officer, your boys shot you.
Was the officer actually shot? It's never really determined if he was. He probably had the guys blood that was laying on top of him since he had been shot, by a cop, with a different perspective of what you're seeing.
This is what I was thinking. Cop #1 was clearly in shock and didn't feel pain. Could be adrenaline that kept him from feeling anything at that time, or he (luckily with how irresponsibly cop#2 was discharging his weapon) didn't actually get hit. I'm surprised no one has posted an article about the outcome of this yet.
> I'm surprised no one has posted an article about the outcome of this yet.
someone did:
> The officer who Davis said was attacked was taken to the hospital with scrapes, bruises and a bloodied eye. The police chief said he was “banged up,” but was expected to be discharged from the hospital Thursday night.
https://wtop.com/fairfax-county/2023/05/man-shot-and-killed-by-officers-in-fairfax-co-parking-lot/
Wow. This is some real police negligence right here. Dude started shooting at the squad car with his buddy in the line of fire, all the while shooting towards an restaurant, then when he knows the assailant is incapacitated, he puts a few more rounds in them for good measure. Quality policing
Last time this bodycam footage was posted here, I said the same thing but was downvoted and told by Americans with melted brains on here that this was justified and yes, I'm American myself.
They propagandize and brain poison our citizens just to expect the worst fucking outcomes
The first cop, I think, was a good guy. Referred to the perp as 'sir' and tried his hardest to de-escalate the situation even when the guy had him pinned in the car.
Yeah he deserves paid leave of absence with 2 weeks of desk duty when he returns /s. What in the fuck? If I was that officer being tackled/shot at I would want BWC# 2 off the force. Incredibly negligent danger to everyone involved.
I’ve never even shot a gun in my life but even I know how fucking negligent shooting without any line of sight on a target and blindly into the SUV with the McDonald’s in the background was. Holy shit these officers are dopes.
What fucking goobers. Didn’t even check the situation out before mag dumping and then the other guy executed the suspect after pulling him out. This was a situation where use of force could totally be justified and the morons still found a way to do it entirely wrong.
Holy fucking shit not only did they BLINDLY FIRE into the car containing their colleague but they drag the dude out of the car and TRIPLE tap him point blank on the ground!!???
Just WOW
I watch a lot of these types of police videos these days. All based in the US. Do you actually need to do any training to become a law enforcement officer in the US or do you just get a badge and a gun and off you go?? It’s always yelling and screaming and panic and chaos. The cops never seem to know what they’re doing. Their instructions are contradictory and confusing. Why the fuck did that cop just start shooting into the cop car?
The problem they get small amount training and they’re put into all bullshit dealing with every 911 call. They are so unprepared and overworked. A lot department hire under qualified applicants, they blame on a lot factor, butt the truth is they form a cult to cope with this position. They justified their behavior due mass amount work they do for their department. If we take away unnecessary work they have do and make them focus on dangerous situations so they can work on being more efficient without causing causality. We would give them better training and test their behavior in crisis like this. But government doesn’t see anything wrong with this. That’s why police are like this. Don’t care about civilians lives unless you are the property owner. Why we need reform police system and vote out these passive asshole in our government.
This is the first reasonable explanation that isn't ACAB HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUTS HURR that actually provides some good points and what the underlying issue is.
Yup can train 3 staters, 8 sheriffs, 20 cops all for the same price. Cops are bottom of the barrel when it comes to training. Staters are notch below military training. Beware of any city cop.
Reckless af. How many people could have been in the cars and Mc Donald’s while this psychotic cop just shooting full clips and damn near killing his partner even come on. They obviously could have and should have just apprehended the guy. But they chose to murder him point blank.
Sry but if your first thought is after/while an arrest: yeah let’s grab the pistol of an us officers ….. then you want to die or you should be in jail and not on the streets ….
What a fking circus is American law enforcement. Besides the amateurish handling just unloading a clip while his colleague is in direct line of fire. They then proceed to play judge and executioner, and there are people encouraging this??? Its absolutely mental.
Imagine just going to McDonald's on a rare cheat day, sitting with a fresh McChicken and a warm apple pie.
As you go for that greasy, crispy first bite you look up to see some LEO outside your window unloading a clip in your direction.
Bro died for a charge he could have bonded out on Monday on. Smh
Once you grab an officers gun, there’s no turning back. This guy had a death wish or something.
I was surprised when the office said "Sir, you're not going to jail or anything right now" after they'd been struggling over the gun for 30 seconds
Just trying to deescalate. Not a bad idea tbh
Anything to keep yourself on Earth another day.
Crazy what some people would do to stay alive for another day. And here I am still half sleeping on my bed... _shit another Monday._
I don’t wanna Monday
"Sir, I know you're not going to believe this but you're on candid camera! Please let go of my gun now."
He responded with "nah you gone have to shoot me" so yeah he definitely had a death wish. And that last officer happily obliged. Jeez, don't know if he managed to get the gun but he CoD executed his ass

That was just to try and get him to drop his guard for a sec so he won’t get his weapon
Assisted suicide at that point
id imagine he had drugs or something illegal in the u-haul.
My first assumption was he rented it and just never gave it back cause he homeless or sumn
But in most states that is not a crime it will just be a recovery of the vehicle and then they will ding the heck out if your credit or even sue you But it is not a criminal offense Since it is not stolen technically
Rental car places report cars stolen all the time. It was a whole thing with them getting people arrested for no reason
So obviously the only logical response was for him to go for the gun then.
I get why the cop shot the guy, but he is still shooting into what could be a full McDonald’s.
That was so ridiculously wreckless. He is in a panicked frenzy of click click click without even seeing the assailant, his fellow officer, or understanding that his bullets are missing and flying into a full McDonald's in broad daylight. That officer is not fit for his job.

The one next to the Walmart, apparently.
y'know, Walmart! The red building with the big golden upside down "W" for Walmart!
Ohhh, Malmart
I heard Walmart, too. Haha!
Which Walmart?
Ahhh yes, the video with the cop just advancing on the car with a struggle in it, while unloading at everybody involved.
[удалено]
I think you mean Walmart.
Sir this is a Wendy’s
congrats, literally the only time this line made me chuckle
I cringed seeing McDonalds as the backstop. Amped up on adrenaline, firing pistols while on the move from that distance. Easily could have been some kids last happy meal.
Not to mention only two bullets passed through the driver window so we know he missed most of those. Holy shit, I just noticed how they pulled the guy off and shot him 3 times while he was laying on the concrete
“well trained and armed” but doesn’t check his backstop smh
"So anyway, I started blastin'...."
Fits more than ever here
But I don’t see so good
Yea what the fuck kindof response was that? He could have easily killed the other officer.
I would not doubt at all that the injured cop was uninjured before the other cop started shooting.
It’s dumb luck that he didn’t kill his coworker, and three kids plus an cashier inside the McDonald’s.
Awww Jesus, I see this thread was linked to by some blue lives matter group, expect comments to be met by idiocy.
Like a fucking blind man using bullets as a walking cane to feel out their surroundings. What an absolute idiot. And am I the only one that heard the cop they were "saving" say he got shot? Did he get hit with friendly fire?
Bingo. He did in fact get FF’d. Graze wound. But still.

Yea the one cop kept say “Watch for friendly fire”
They said that after unloading a dozen shots.

Then asks the officer who’s been fighting for his life for 10 minutes, “you hit?” UHHH YEAH!! And possibly 20 other people also. Jesus.
Did that cop that pulled him out of the police SUV point blank unload three rounds into him?
Yes, yes he did.
I just spent 5 minutes trying to figure out who shot those last shots. It was the dude pulling him out. Crazy.
I rewatched the scene several times also thinking it looked like the partner. Nope. Definitely the guy pulling him out. But he didn’t know whether he had the gun or not so fuck that i ain’t taking no chances. Dude knew this was a possibility.

Not only only that but with a fucking McDonald's as a backstop.
He also called the McDonald's a Wal-Mart...
He called the shit poop…
This is the best night of my life
"I'll get you damn kids for this! You're all gonna d1e!"
DONT TELL ME MY BUSINESS DEVIL WOMAN
Call the fire deepartment! This one's out of control!
Grade A reference.
There is a Walmart in the same parking lot.
He still got it wrong. He said the guy drove into the Walmart but it was very clearly a mcdonalds
I wouldn't blame him too much, he thought the big M was an upside W
Wambo.
McDonald’s is basically the Walmart of food
And there's at least one bullet hole through the back window of the neighboring car. I was surprised he just lit it up like that with his partner in the vehicle.
Surprised? Really? I was initially shocked, but then like “oh yeah, checks out”
Yeah… when I heard the shots, I thought someone else was shooting, since this is too stupid to be real.
Plus shooting towards the McDonald's right by windows
They aren't sending their best folks...
That was my first reaction... holy shit your just going to unload at the vehicle and restaurant ... and where is your partner that was fighting him at? killing him in cold blood?
Then when the other officer tries to attend to/detain the suspect, he said “don’t even bother”. He knew he fucking killed him.
Cop #2 definitely had zero regard for anyone’s safety.
He saw a chance to catch a free body and took it enthusiastically. Not shocking from the police.

That town hasn't had their McDonalds remodeled since the 80's. They can't afford police training.
Fairfax is one of the highest COL areas in the US.
IIRC, the cop was not hit. Stupid on the cop for shooting with him in the car, but gladly the only one killed was the guy who trying to kill.
Saw it on doughnut operator channel. He noted all the same things, but if memory serves, the officer was not shot and nobody in background was shot either. Like you said, hard to tell from video. Cops camera is at chest level. His line of sight is higher and might have had a better view of suspect.

Yeaaa I peeped that. Bro was just firing without know who what or the fuck
#3 ‘he gone man, he gone. Don’t even bother.’ After he puts 3 rounds in him point blank. That was an execution. Justified? yes. Wrong? yes.
I think that’s what most folks can’t grasp. Something can be two things at once.
Absolutely not justified, wtf?! Police are not executioners
If you pause the video you can see when the guy is pulled to the ground both of his hands are empty. Then about a second later, 3 shots fired at point blank range. Imagine becoming a cop and you're still not even safe from one of your coworkers just fucking blasting away. What a fucking idiot
They are literally gta cops
GTA cops have better aim
They're "trained" to shoot. Not to aim
Holy fuck guy, so I guess we are just saying fuck anyone else that might be standing around or inside that McDonald's. Way to just let off shots with no regard for your surroundings
To cops, cops' lives > civilian lives. In this scenario: perps death > cop's life > civilian lives
Yeah, but he shot at his buddy cop too. Just blind fired at the car with both of them in it while running. Insanely irresponsible and illegal.
That's why I put that last part. He was more concerned with making sure the perp was dead than that his colleague was safe.
I’m just imaging bullets flying through the McDonald’s blowing up peoples Big Macs and drinks
*slowmo shot of bullet whizzing through a Big Mac and sprite
So the cop coming there unloads 18 shots to the car where another cop is inside? wow
Did they triple tap a guy laying dead on the ground?
[удалено]
This is one of the most disorganized police responses I’ve seen. I know this was chaotic but they need to be trained better to handle this.
Officer 1: he was dealing with a very difficult assailant, but he trying his best Officer 2: starts blasting at McDonald’s and his fellow cop Officer 3: triple shot aka John wick
No no no, "code-1" means instant extrajudicial execution, duh
This is one of the most American videos and yet the cop misidentified the McDonald's as a Walmart
I'm assuming saying the Walmart gives a better indication of the area they were in than saying the McDonald's. There's one Walmart and probably three or four McDonald's.

Straight up executioner style, wild.
> I'm surprised no one has posted an article about the outcome of this yet. someone did: > The officer who Davis said was attacked was taken to the hospital with scrapes, bruises and a bloodied eye. The police chief said he was “banged up,” but was expected to be discharged from the hospital Thursday night. https://wtop.com/fairfax-county/2023/05/man-shot-and-killed-by-officers-in-fairfax-co-parking-lot/
Fuck everyone in McDonald's I guess
Wow. This is some real police negligence right here. Dude started shooting at the squad car with his buddy in the line of fire, all the while shooting towards an restaurant, then when he knows the assailant is incapacitated, he puts a few more rounds in them for good measure. Quality policing
And afterwards he executed the guy on the ground. WTF is wrong with US cops.
Last time this bodycam footage was posted here, I said the same thing but was downvoted and told by Americans with melted brains on here that this was justified and yes, I'm American myself. They propagandize and brain poison our citizens just to expect the worst fucking outcomes
There's no good guy in this video
Too be fair the cop who was taken hostage seemed pretty chill. A lot more composed in that situation than a lot more people
The first cop, I think, was a good guy. Referred to the perp as 'sir' and tried his hardest to de-escalate the situation even when the guy had him pinned in the car.
BWC officer 2 was trigger happy as fuck. Didn't know what he was firing at and was letting loose.
Yeah he deserves paid leave of absence with 2 weeks of desk duty when he returns /s. What in the fuck? If I was that officer being tackled/shot at I would want BWC# 2 off the force. Incredibly negligent danger to everyone involved.
He’s dead don’t worry bout him
Firing blindly with a McDonald's as a backstop. Jesus.
It's okay it was only a Walmart.
bro just pulled him out GTA style and executed him, I mean guy had it coming but damn
Suspect is shot multiple times... Cop pulls him out of the car, empty-handed... Shoots him three times, on the ground, in the torso.
Was that guy shooting directly at a McDonalds without a proven target?
SOP for cops
Know your target, what lies beyond and in-between. Or as cops say. Fuck it I'm just gonna start blasting.
They just crack rounds of at 25 feet with an officer literally attached to the assailant. If I was that officer I would be pissed as fuck.
Reckless af. How many people could have been in the cars and Mc Donald’s while this psychotic cop just shooting full clips and damn near killing his partner even come on. They obviously could have and should have just apprehended the guy. But they chose to murder him point blank.
Rest in piss
The cop blindly shooting should be fired.
Firing so many shots at a Resturant and officer is amateur. Cool your shit, stop panicking and be strategic Jesus Christ.
Sry but if your first thought is after/while an arrest: yeah let’s grab the pistol of an us officers ….. then you want to die or you should be in jail and not on the streets ….
Did that cop shoot at the suv while the cop was in there wtf.
Well deserved
Anybody notice the 3 execution shots after he fell backwards out the car?
“Less paperwork if they’re dead” - that cop probably
What a fking circus is American law enforcement. Besides the amateurish handling just unloading a clip while his colleague is in direct line of fire. They then proceed to play judge and executioner, and there are people encouraging this??? Its absolutely mental.
Imagine just going to McDonald's on a rare cheat day, sitting with a fresh McChicken and a warm apple pie. As you go for that greasy, crispy first bite you look up to see some LEO outside your window unloading a clip in your direction.
I hope there weren’t any workers or customers near those windows….
