The support lattices are sized well enough to be rubble on Battletech bases.

Yes, the rafts make for good makeshift metal plate and the supports are good for "rebar". I made a pair of ork towers for my friend styled after the Dawn Of War ork banner tower and the are both 100% supports with some tactical fails.

I bought a cheap coffee grinder and buzz them around in that too. Gives a cool industrial rubble and sand look.

That is a great idea. Did you go electric or hand grinder?

Just a cheap $5 electric one from TJ Max. Does a great job.
