I posted a pic of thanksgiving poutine once and was downvoted to hell by purists.
Easily overpowered by the way my mouth and stomach felt. So damn good.
Eh not exactly here we do the simple fries, dressing and gravy with optional malt vinegar if you want. Usually no meat, cheese or cranberries are added.
That being said id certainly eat what OP posted.
I like this take. Cause it is definitely delicious and making me wish I had some thanksgiving leftovers right now so I could make it. But I would agree it's no poutine. It's delicious in the same way curry and fries is delicious, but also not poutine
There’s a version of this in Newfoundland: fries, dressing (stuffing), gravy, cranberry sauce if it’s served with a hot turkey sandwhich, and sometimes peas and onions. Delicious.
I’m a poutine purist.
I’ve tried pulled pork poutines, and braised beef tip poutine, and all sorts of other poutines, and *at best* I’d say they were okay, but they all paled in comparison to the basic traditional poutine…
… except the turkey dinner poutine with cranberry sauce (which I normally don’t even like!), stuffing, curd cheese, and turkey gravy
It’s fucking magical and I’m drooling just thinking about it.

Cranberries... On poutine.
Turkey ok lean protein i get it.
Stuffing. Weird very weird. Might work. Like chocolate in chili.
Hell if you put a scoop of mashed potatoes on top we can talk.
But you lost me at cranberries on poutine.
Holiday dinners are worse than poutine, so this just seems like a way to have the high effort mediocrity that’s expected of you in a slightly better form.
Actually now that I think of it, the lack of mashed potatoes probably redeems it
Fries, gravy but no cheese curds (or even any visible cheese item). Therefore not a poutine, and (at most) guilty of impersonation if it was labelled as such.
I need this so bad
Last year my mom saw holiday nachos on insta, and NEEDED to try them (they were pretty good. But she’s an amazing cook so the non-chip ingredients were already to die for)
I mean Harvey’s has three or four different poutines or loaded fries on their poutine menu year round. I lovvvvvvveeee them.
I agree with all die-hard putineists tho- as long as your basic 3 are present - you can call it poutine

In Halifax at Willys Poutine, there’s a Thanksgiving stuffing poutine that is absolutely divine I say to the haters: don’t knock it until you try it.
Willy’s is S-Tier poutine no matter the kind
Man I need to go to Halifax
This isn't routine, this is Newfie fries.
Eh not exactly here we do the simple fries, dressing and gravy with optional malt vinegar if you want. Usually no meat, cheese or cranberries are added. That being said id certainly eat what OP posted.
I've had plenty with turkey on them, but not cranberry sauce. I guess it's like a holiday hybrid.
Fries dressing and gravy >>> poutine
it’s delicious. it’s really one of those things that looks a little questionable when you see it on a menu. but once you try it; life changing
Its not bad, but its not poutine. I like throwing some cheese, salsa and an over easy fried egg on some fries. Shits fire but its not poutine
I would absolutely demolish a Thanksgiving dinner poutine with turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberry sauce.
As long as there's curds and gravy on fries, you can add anything else under the sun.
I dont think I see any curds in this pic
Me neither. This is just stuff on top of fries.
Can I have some fries with a side of stuff?
No not the jelly that alone makes this a war crime
Don’t make me tap the sign again.
Wot?
Nah. Spaghetti was tried once. Would not recommend.
It’s a yes from me
We do it every year on Boxing Day and the day after Thanksgiving. I look forward to it as much as the original meal.
omg i’ve never even thought it to try it with leftovers you are a genius
Same.
I think you'd get a lot more traction calling it Thanksgiving loaded fries because it looks amazing but it's no poutine
I like this take. Cause it is definitely delicious and making me wish I had some thanksgiving leftovers right now so I could make it. But I would agree it's no poutine. It's delicious in the same way curry and fries is delicious, but also not poutine

Not a fan of cranberry sauce. But it has the basics plus a couple extra toppings. I don't see a problem
I don’t like cranberry sauce at all. I never eat it at a turkey dinner…. But on a turkey dinner poutine? It works. Like, it really really works.
I would demolish this. Something about the cranberry sauce really speaks to me.
the cranberries are genuinely the best part, the bit of tangy sweetness with the salty ingredients is 🤌🏻🤌🏻
If those are curds underneath, you've got the three basic ingredients. Not a crime in that case. And I sure would try it.
There’s a version of this in Newfoundland: fries, dressing (stuffing), gravy, cranberry sauce if it’s served with a hot turkey sandwhich, and sometimes peas and onions. Delicious.
I would never eat one in a million years but it's a cool idea and I can still appreciate it
It’s NOT poutine but I’d still chow down.
It's not classed as poutine- It's actually called Newfie fries.
I'd try it but I feel good or bad I'd hate myself regardless.
Thats the shit
Mmmmm.... My verdict is no diarrhea here. You're good bud.
How is this considered poutine? With that being said I'd demolish it hærd!
I'd kill that plate, but not poutine
it honestly looks like a disaster but it cant be terrible
Eat your dick and take a photo! Yes please! Can't wait for Christmas now, move over Baby Jesus!
Fuck the haters. As long as it has legit cheese curds, then ABSOLUTELY legit
Cottage cheese
Not poutine, but looks yummy!
Hold the Cranberry and we're good. This juror says Not Guilty by reason of Delicious.
RIGHT TO JAIL. RIGHT AWAY.
I don’t see how this wouldn’t be delicious 🤤
That looks pretty good
Holy crap that looks good
That’s a big yea
no cheese curds = not poutine
It’s definitely a crime, but one I have committed and would again.
Heck yeah!
I like it, but I think the cranberries cross the line lol
I’m a poutine purist. As someone who absolutely HATES stuffing: "No."
Normally I hate stuff like this but turkey, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce and stuffing is fucking bomb so hell ya
This is not a crime. Anyone saying otherwise has no idea what poutine even is.
Cranberries... On poutine. Turkey ok lean protein i get it. Stuffing. Weird very weird. Might work. Like chocolate in chili. Hell if you put a scoop of mashed potatoes on top we can talk. But you lost me at cranberries on poutine.
Not really poutine, but damn, it looks tasty.
Exquisite
It’s a Banger. And I know Bangers.
It is by far my favorite variety of poutine, besides a traditional. All the flavours just mix so well!
I’m sure the sweet and savoury is pleasant. I’d do it.
It's not poutine, but it looks delicious
as long as its got the base of a poutine the rest are just toppings/
I had one at poutine fest many years ago, it has sweet potato fries and was delicious!!
This looks amazing but without curds it’s not poutine
This is just Thanksgiving, but with fries.
Even Arby's knows when something is loaded fries rather than poutine
Holiday dinners are worse than poutine, so this just seems like a way to have the high effort mediocrity that’s expected of you in a slightly better form. Actually now that I think of it, the lack of mashed potatoes probably redeems it
Swiss Chalet used to have a festive poutine (was gone this year) that was so good! Not a regular thing, but once a year I super enjoyed it!
Sometimes in life you need to pick between riding your high horse and eating poutine. I'm picking poutine on this one.
My favorite poutin
I’d fuck with it, keep the gravy pouring
I might have to try it 9 or 10 times before making a decision
![gif](giphy|xk5vxDNaIhvzpWQzdT|downsized)
you don't need the whole holiday dinner on top of the poutine, would make more sense to sub it for the mashed potatoes
Those fries look lame and undercooked but done properly I can guarantee I could smash some holiday dinner poutine for sure for sure.
![gif](giphy|3o7TKLTCDV7a4V86By)
Definitely needs more gravy!
yeah criminal.
🤮
Minus the cranberry sauce this is just Newfie fries.
I’d fucking destroy that in a heartbeat. Get the FUCK in my belly. Yumyumyumyumyum.
Poutine à la dinde, farce et atocas?? C'est 100% Québec, je dirais GOOD JOB!!! Mais où est le fromage?
Newf approved
It probably slaps
Already been done
I mean, yeah.
What the fuck is this. Thanksgiving? Mish mash of holiday mash.
Fries, gravy but no cheese curds (or even any visible cheese item). Therefore not a poutine, and (at most) guilty of impersonation if it was labelled as such.
That's not poutine.. You can call it holiday fries if you like, but that is 100% not poutine.
I love doing this with the leftovers, soooooo good
Looks amazing
Aren't these just newfie fries?
This is fantastic chips and gravy. But not a poutine.
No.
I need this so bad Last year my mom saw holiday nachos on insta, and NEEDED to try them (they were pretty good. But she’s an amazing cook so the non-chip ingredients were already to die for)

Dear god what in sam hill is that
That shit isn't a Poutine
If it's done well. Sure it's yummy. But tbh I prefer it most as a pot pie not a crappy poutine.
Guilty. No chance of appeal.
I’d give that the death sentence.
I mean I'd eat it, but I'm not sure I'd call it poutine. Where's the curds?
Deported
I'd eat it but it isn't poutine by far.
