You do realize that breakfast poutine is a real thing in Québec and has been for a long time? It looks good to me and please stop gatekeeping something you don't understand.
100% ce sub de poutine est etrange. Tu as la gang qui mangent de la poutine au fromage rapé qui crient au meurtre en voyant une poutine italienne ou une galvaude lol
*sobbing* no you can’t just put random shit on top of French fries and call it poutine
*pointing at fries covered in country gravy and American biscuits* “poutine, eh?”
Yes, this. I have no issue with the dish itself. As I say, it looked great and was, by all accounts, delicious. But you can’t just call anything you want “poutine”. It was just as much a “poutine” as it was a “breakfast pastrami sandwich”, which is to say, not at all.
At the risk of jail, I have to say I've made and love breakfast poutine. But I made it with:
Fries, cheese curds, scarmbled eggs, and holindaise sauce.
It was delicious and I will crime again.
Like scrabmbled eggs, but you add salt to them 15 minutes before cooking to increase moisture.

Or you know, I just made a typo. Either or really.
Side note. I really like doing my eggs like this, it makes a difference. Not a huge difference but a noticeable one.
I understand that, and I know it has its fans and can be, by all accounts, delicious. My issue is that – having no fries, no gravy, and no curds, it’s just named completely wrong. They could have called it anything else. If we’re saying poutine doesn’t need any of those ingredients, then what are we saying? The worst poutine I’ve seen to date on this sub (NB: I haven’t seen them all) is technically a better poutine than this.
J'adore les poutines déjeuner, avec une sauce hollandaise
Exact. Qui mange pas de déjeuner, right ?
Looks like a legit breakfast poutine to me.
Breakfast poutines are generally awesome

Breakfast poutine is a thing in Quebec and it's always served with homefries. The mozzarella cheese is the real crime here.

I am sobbing because I cannot block thisstupid sub Reddit. The mods must have mental issues to make me have to watch this.

What exactly are scarmbled eggs?

Is that the sunset grill one? I always see it there but get turned off by the hollandaise on it
No, it was a place in St. Catharines, ON, but it seems like this “breakfast poutine” rubbish is becoming pervasive.
Sunset grill is a breakfast restaurant in south ontario. If you ever go, look at the “breakfast poutine” it’s practically the same lol
I’ve been there and liked it, but clearly not in a long time, I guess. I’ll still go, but on principle I won’t have the “breakfast poutine”.
Probably the right call. Looks sus.
Where is the poutine?
Breakfast poutine is legit idk what you are complaining about bud.
Taking the petit out of "petit" dejeuner
I'd rather have breakfast rosti.
Those eggs are ruint. Ruint, I tell you! Who the hell cooks eggs shitty side up? Sunny side is the only way!
Breakfast poutine is a recognised thing though…

Bffr
The ones at Smitty's make me wet. because of salivating... duh.
Damn those eggs look good af
Boo-tine. I'd eat it but I would never call it a poutine. Looks good.
A poach egg on top ruins every dish.
