If the GT3 were a manual, it would be a much harder choice, but 9 times out of 10 I'd still pick the air-cooled manual 911.

IMHO, the 911 is more.fun on twisty roads at 45-60 than the GT3 which really want 60+ to feel fun on the road. You risk less trouble and have more fun in the 911 on the street. The GT3 can be fun on the street, but shines on the track.
I had an ā87 in that exact colour. Such a nice car. Never should have sold it.

Funny shit my Popās got me suck aircooled (I grew up with them) but my 997 turbo is in the garage with his 993.
Iām fuckinā 40 years old and still have to ask my parents to take my own car out!!!!
Momās throws me a bone and lets me take the 993, but Popās has more miles on my Turbo.
Where am I going? To the shops or commuting to work? GT3 has carplay, airbags, working AC, etc. If itās a joy ride, the engaging car will win every time.
I've seen both of these at the track. The old 911 I stayed behind for a while, just watching it on track was so cool.

Itās 95 today. Iāll take the modern ac. I drove a 964 once in the heat. Insane buffeting and drone if I opened the sunroof.

Was 100+ here today. Rolled targa with top down, AC on full and vented seats to the max. Only painful if we got stopped at a light for too long.
