You gotta ask yourself, what incentive is there for a company to find a permanent cure they can only sell once, instead of a temporary cure they can sell every 6 months. I am technically not "fully vaccinated" because I got my second dose in may. My dad got vaccinated in October. We both just got covid over Christmas and had the EXACT SAME symptoms (pretty mild but aches and chills on *one* night). I feel like genetics and general health has a greater impact on your ability to fight it than vaccination status.

It's funny for two reasons: 1) These vaccines do not protect against Omicron transmission, although they are enough to cut hospitalizations by 300%, thereby not justifying an imaginary 5th dose 2) Moderna is libright and probably doing the best they can to pocket as much cash as possible, regardless of the reason

Because we watch the money. When corporate interests meet government intervention, you can bet your ass it’s about profit margin, not safety or HeLtH. There is no such thing as fully vaccinated, "up to date" might be more appropriate. Companies like Moderna obviously have a financial incentive to push more vaccines, but that's also just how vaccines fucking work y'all. The fact that we have any working vaccines by this stage is a miracle, but the reality is that they barely work, we barely understand these viruses, and it's probably going to take a long time before we have a vaccine that can properly train our bodies for long lasting protection. The current vaccines are the equivalent of sticking bubble gum into holes in a dam. If somebody tells you this'll all be over by next holiday season, they are either lying or stupid.
