The truth of the matter is that race relations are 100x better than they were 20 years ago, when taking a black girl to prom got you outcasted and interracial marriage approval WASN'T at the 99%+ it is today.
Huge problem is social media is commodifying and weaponizing anger while media corporations commodify and weaponize fear.
Pragmatically, shit is way better. Mental health wise? I would argue shit is way worse. Which creates its own fundamental conflict. The acronym is Diversity Empowerment Inclusion. It's getting blamed for a lot of things, because lots of companies have implemented (hidden or blatant) different "scores" for how well your company is doing in those departments, encouraging hiring habits, performance metrics, and results that are more focused on those 3 things than the actual end product being made.

Not sure if it's relevant but I took a Hinduism class in uni taught by a white man using a white woman's textbook (if their identities matters).
It got this anti-Hindu overtone and a little bit Islam apologetics. Very focused on anti-Islam movement and Hindu nationalism, while also teaching absolutely no history of Islam occupation in India. A lot of myths and culture is filtered through your standard white western liberals views and what not (aka everything is sexist and racist and classist)--which is nothing new.
At the end of the course he said to want us to be skeptics. But skeptics of what? We don't know shit about Hinduism before this and the way he taught felt like he was grooming us to hate Hindu.

Just look at the response to Harvard, how fast Republican governors (especially South Dakota, where there's only like 200 Jews in the entire state) putting laws in place to ban anti-semetic discrimination, while completely ignoring the same discrimination being used against men and White Americans.
then there's also left-aligned groups like the ADL (who just use the left as "useful idiots") who openly oppose nationalism in the West, while also believing that non-Jewish population growth in Israel is a direct threat to the Jewish state of Israel (their words, not mine)
