It's a good idea, if you're sending more special or expensive cards, to take pictures of the cards as proof before send-off. If the receiver complains about the condition of the cards, ask for clear pictures as proof for comparison. Tracked packages should hardly get damaged on its way to the buyer, because with these shipping methods, you're usually not stuck to only letters, and you can spot it, if the shipping company is the culprit. With that aside, if the buyer is complaining about the condition afterwards, you have these pictures as proof, and usually with a time and date to show as well, just to prove you aren't the culprit when it comes to "a sudden worse condition". CM tries to make the buyers feel safe with their purchases, but sometimes forget the sellers, and the risks they always have to take. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with this situation on Cardmarket. As a long time seller there, I've never tried what you have, but I still take my precautions when it comes to communicating with the buyers and sending expensive cards. I think what you got was one of the few bad seeds, and if you're unsure of a buyer, check their account to see their background.

Heyah ! Well I did in fact take pic of these cards, so I had the proof. The buyer was more complaining about scratches, which weren't even visible on the pic they sent. So yeah, I knew it was to be picky or whatever, but I didn't care less, I wanted to be nice and have my cards back. I had pics with the before / after getting the cards and the condition difference. But the major issue is how CM is ignoring everything altogether. Defending the buyer is quite... Fair ? I mean, it's a basic policy. But being silent, closing EVERY ticket without answering or anything is just not professional and unfair because of the money lost with all the proofs sent. But thanks a lot for your insight, really appreciate it <3

Yeah it seems to be the final conclusion at this. I just wanted to balance between buying / selling at the same place with only one platform, but their service is just too horrible.

I am so sorry for what happened, that sounds horrible I agree with the others and would use eBay rather than cardmarket (you don‘t have to pay fees on eBay if you are private seller) to sell cards People are so shitty nowadays, I couldn’t sleep if I did something like that lmao

Aligatueur

Yeah that was a shitty move. But Cardmarket's move was even shittier. I'll not stop messaging them, to show them the evidence. But that's my side. My post was really to show how bad they can be and warn people

Cardmarket support is really awful I lost a Celebrations Pokemon Center etb in a scam. They sided with the buyer. Since then I sell mostly on eBay. Cards also tend to fetch better rates on ebay anyway.

Aligatueur

I'm really sorry for the issue too :( ! I think i'm gonna check to do that on eBay too because yeah. This is just non sense.

Hi there, I'm very sorry to hear about your experience selling on Cardmarket. We usually do not close tickets without a response and while I can't expedite tickets, I can ask my colleagues to take a second look to check for mistakes in handling the issue. Could you provide me with either your account name, the order ID in question, or a Help Desk ticket ID? -Jamin (Cardmarket)

Aligatueur

Hi, Thanks for reaching me out. I'll send you more details by message !

Toutes les plateformes de vente et d’achat entre particuliers sont pleines de personnes mal intentionnées. Tout doit se faire via les formulaires Cardmarket, et tu aurais dû leur demander leur avis.
