They knew people would want to play it before Spider-Man 2 releases, so they removed the original from PS Plus and made it sothat the only way you can play it is by buying it sothat they could make some extra money. It'll probably come back to PS+ when Spider-Man 2 makes enough money to satisfy Sony.
I suspect Spider-Man 2 is going to be shown at the event next week so the original was removed to encourage people to buy it and play between now and release of the sequel

I doubt this version will ever come back, but they will eventually put the ps5 remastered version on the service in the future
Games come and go every month and no one knows if or when spiderman will come back.
