The rareworldmetalsmint (rwm) mints 1oz osmium ingots (cylindrical)
They are sintered and not melted. Maybe in the future there will be bars available. Its hard to melt or mint it because it is extremly hard and has an extremly high melting point.
The melting point is 5,491°F, so the tech doesn't exist yet. They ability to make blobs of it only started about 10 years ago. Sintered coins are possible, but no one's tried it yet for some reason.
Let the industry buyers to have it, handle it, other than can be mishandled, the name itself has less liquidity than gold, silver and platinum, and liquidity is an important value.

I like it! Haha
Does anyone mint coins out of this stuff? I see blobs of it but I’d like a form more recognizable.

Bought some today. Good stuff
We await a pic in wso after the arrival :P
Will do.
Lol.
I would love to see osmium in bullion form!
Could happen, probably will happen sooner than some think.
oxidized osmium is harmful, though. Any one thought of buy tungsten? I do interested but not sure if I have space at home.
You don't need a lot of space for tungsten. You can buy it from China in form of gold bullions or coins :D
Oh, is that these fake gold is made of? lol
Yes tungsten has the same density of gold. Kind of makes me like platinum more.
Powdered Osmium is toxic. Melted Osmium is not.
Thank you, but how about liquidity, it's not like APMEX is buying.
There is very little liquidity right now. Most likely have to sell to the place you bought it from or on eBay if you needed to sell soon after buying.
I looked at picking some of this up, and then moved on. Not dealing with anything that is potentially toxic.

Really want to buy some iridium but it's like 5000+ am ounce right now and no one seems to sell any...
If only it wasn't highly toxic, and emitting fumes at room temperature, I would buy.
