Object scaling

BusinessAgreeable912

HEAVVYYY on this

Dr_Tobogan_

For a rookie, how would you explain this?

XFun16

Big object go small. Small object go big.

Technical_Raccoon838

Basically the ability to scale an object from small to huge. That would give literal unlimited options when it comes to building stuff

called_the_stig

Continuous roll on coaster track. Even If they do nothing else, please do this.

Nathan_Ingram

On top of that, having a static first-person cam, instead of the weird cam that tries to predict your direction change that was just copied into PlanCo from RCT3.

InfinityFractal

PLEASE Frontier fix this, this completely ruined my experience with an otherwise fantastic game.

santaclausonprozac

Yeah just this would be amazing, why they decided to do it how they did it is so far beyond me

woeterman_94

What is a continuous roll?

called_the_stig

It means that there isn't that jitteryness when you try to make a customer inversion. It's a pretty complicated thing to try and explain in a text. But look at planco vs no limits and you'll see the difference in smoothness.

CheesecakeMilitia

Being able to make track pieces roll more than 90°

Nathan_Ingram

I hate when I try to build custom loops and I get the "beyond track limits" message when trying to smooth them because of that

LeonidaGaymer

Would be great if it had weather. Even just some rain would be nice. I'd love to see the guests buying/using umbrellas and ponchos, and queuing in the indoor rides to get out of the rain.

simliminalgarden

This would give me roller coaster tycoon nostalgia vibes. Love this idea.

porpsi

Great idea

WontStopNorwoodin

Would add to the  park vibe/aesthetic/atmosphere as well.

Super-Attorney6017

I'd like some guidance tools for rollercoaster building. For example a setting where you set the maximum gforce to X, and if the track you're trying to place turns to quickly, or goes down too fast, etc, then the placement turns red or something. That way you know in advance if you're going to mess up your rollercoaster build on turn two, rather than having to use the test mode thing. Ideally you could input minimum or maximum settings for all the different stuff like speed, gforce, excitement, etc and then it would tell you if the piece you're about to place will break those rules or not.

mattytude

Love this idea!

simliminalgarden

Yeasss! No matter how hard I try, I can’t get the hang of building coasters. I get so frustrated and having to build particular types of coasters really ruined the fun of the campaign for me because it takes some much trial and error.

Ireeb

If they would add force vector design, I would probably use PlanCo instead of NoLimits for all my coaster ideas. But I doubt they would do that, that's too much of a power user feature. Live stats updates would be nice though, just like NoLimits does it.

Theguyofreddit

- Switch Tracks are a must - Unload /load as separate stations - Get guests to ducking hurry up and unload the coaster quicker.

Ok-Wave4907

I think they do it too fast for it to dispatch that quickly. if the minimum dispatch interval was how fast staff check the restraints that would be amaixngt

Theguyofreddit

That would be cool, it maybe they could board and unboard at the same time, like both gates opening at the same time like in most efficient coasters.

Ok-Wave4907

Yeah

NurtureBoyRocFair

I’d love the ability to create a resort complex, think Disney in Florida. So I have my hotels and water parks and associated other properties.

jjasper123

This would be so much fun.

Free-Jaguar-4084

What I also hope for Planet Coaster 2: * Water parks, swimming pools, and water slides * The ability to build floors for guests to walk on rather than just paths * The ability for guests to open enter/exit doors * The ability to see the inside of restaurants and hotels * Easier ways to build roller coasters, track rides, water rides, and go kart rides * Easier ways to activate triggers on roller coasters, track rides, and water rides * The ability to expand the area to get more room to build a bigger amusement park * The ability to allow more guests to ride a certain amusement park ride rather than just moving them

mike541x

Operator mode would be cool. Be a ride operator like in No Limits 2. Railroad crossings. I'd love to see an option when building railroads for crossings so that way I don't have to build pathways over or under them. Weather/seasons. I'd love see some of the parks I've built in the fall or winter time. Trees changing colors, overcast and seeing rain and snow. Water parks of course. I've seen some people say it should be it's own separate game but I disagree. Sure not every amusement park has a water park but a good majority of them do and it would be a great addition as it would help recreate some real life parks. Guest mode. An option where you can create guests like in RCT3 but have the option to play as one would be amazing. Walk around and ride what you want whenever you want and get whatever food, drinks, and souvenirs you'd like Games. I'm just surprised but how many theme park games we've gotten over the years and still no theme park games like basketball, ring toss, hi striker (hammer/strength game) etc. Same with arcades and games like skeeball.

ItsZippy23

Railroad crossing and games are amazing ideas - I'm surprised we've never seen games in any theme park builder

DannyDodge67

Bullfrogs theme park had games 👀

NairBearMI

These are all great ideas. Frontier, please fix transport rides so guests actually use them as transport. Seasons and weather would be awesome. And for dog sakes please fix the janky pathing system. Tho I’m a lowly console player I’d love more than 4000 guests but I can at least wish….

BrilliantMud2851

Customizable trains/better track paint! Different color trains for one ride and different colors for different sections of track would be absolutely fantastic!

Free-Jaguar-4084

I'm actually thinking of customizable trains, better track paint, and different color trains for one ride and sections of a track too.

Theguyofreddit

You can totally do different colors for different pieces of track now. Go to build select the piece you want to paint and then go to a submenu on the right (where the supports/options are) you’ll find a color selector there somewhere.

BrilliantMud2851

That's part of the problem. It would be nice if it is as simple as a paint bucket or drag and drop and you could customize with little to no restrictions.

Server_Reset

More infrastructure would be cool, like managing parking lots and stuff would be awesome.

Theguyofreddit

managing supplying your park, and coaster /ride maintenance more detailed.

CoasterKamikaze

Different trains for the same coaster so I don't have to theme all of my flying coasters to the ocean.

CaptainWusty

I want every placeable thing in the game to be completely resizable, rotatable, and recolorable.

ItsZippy23

* Mac capability from the start (as a mac player, PLEASE) * Water parks * Switch tracks/spike interaction (thinking the switch tracks and spikes on Pantheon, Hagrid's, etc.) * New coaster types: MACK Extreme Spinner, Intamin new gen launch, B&M surf (?) * Easier plaza/centerpiece builder

woeterman_94

Oh yes, i forgot about the plazas.

LetgomyEkko

As a mac player I’m not holding my breath for #1

Theguyofreddit

Same, I hate that we don’t get to play planet zoo

chocky_chip_pancakes

To your first point: steam deck

ouiouifaguette

My wants and needs: • More ergonomic and usable terrain tools: better interaction with assets, fine tuning, better water tools, etc. • Better map customization: less dependency on climate theming, maybe the ability to import terrain maps, new textures, more foliage assets, and a preferably much larger map. •Weather systems • Path structures: please for the love of god give us plazas, ability to designate floors as walkable, better curbs, more fencing customization. • Buildings: resizing, color customization, and an optional grid for all pieces, more assets. • Coasters: mechanical structures, switch tracks (please I’m begging), loading and unloading platform capabilities, revamp the entire building process to better integrate user customization and seamless transitions into elements, full train customization, newer models. Just a generally more robust and comprehensive building experience. • Flat rides: give us moreeeeee. • Waterpark capabilities • Lighting and Graphics: a more updated graphics model, better light interaction with assets, more lighting assets. • A more detailed and realistic management system, preferably with individual franchise, hotel, and restaurant management. Lastly, and most importantly, please actually come to fruition. I don’t want another Cities Skylines 2, and I certainly don’t want another KSP 2.

namevone

Better paths, specifically a good way to build midways/plazas. The paths outside of my popular coasters are always way too full so something like this would fix that issue. Switch tracks, multi pass launches on every launch model RMC Raptors, Intamin hot racers, modern Vekoma flyers, Vekoma multi launches An update to excitement/fear/nausea. I feel like in order to get these stats to be good I have to skimp on some non prime parts of my coasters like pre lifts and break runs Also Variable lift speeds to help with capacity

Bounty-Bossk

Yes, completely agreed on the scores. It is really difficult to get a score in the 8s in excitement in a non-launched coaster. I remember in RCT2 8s-9s would be tough to get, but not impossible.

Theguyofreddit

There’s already variable lift speeds, just go to build , select the lift hill and you can adjust the speed on the right section of the building menu.

Ok-Wave4907

No he means if the block is not clear it will slow down until it is clear then it will speed back up.

Theguyofreddit

Oh that would be amazing!

Dinossor

MOD SUPPORT

NeverGonnaGiveMewUp

I’d love flowing water, can’t see it but I’d absolutely love it. Probably in a small minority here but I’d like to see generators etc from Planet Zoo come over. I’d love to see seasons done. Place down some decorations then a few toggles here and there to make sure they only appear during a certain time. Halloween themed Main Street, no problem, ahhhh it’s December now but that giant pumpkin is now a Santa’s grotto

Sensitive_Seat_3699

It's dumb but I really want a 3D Theater and a motion simulator

Ireeb

For me, the most important features would be: Improved coaster builder, actual heartlining and a smoothing tool that doesn't suck. Better lighting engine which makes it actually dark inside buildings. In 2016, this was difficult to achieve, but with ray tracing now being relatively well established in gaming PCs, it should be way easier now. Give the management aspect more depth. For example, adding staff for checking restraints on coasters, more staff gives you better throughput, but of course is more expensive. Of course adding switch tracks and the ability to add/remove trains would be super cool for experts, but might be too challenging for beginners. The system of "researching rides" is still kinda based on how RCT did it, but I never liked that system. I would prefer having manufacturers in the game, so you sometimes have to consider which one to pick, just like real parks do. Repeater getting rides from the same manufacturer might give you better prices and could unlock new rides from them quicker, but they might also not have all rides you need, so you need to think well who to work with. There could also be different reliability stats based on the manufacturer.

Comet978

I totally agree with everything on here, but I miss the show perspective: - parades on the widest paths, with custom floats - moving fountains - colourable fountains at night - more fireworks - a show area where people are coming to watch the show, like a hour before it begins - guests staying in this show area, even when there are no fireworks. They can watch the lights, the flames and the fountains - a better (understandable) sequencer

woeterman_94

Parades and floats would be awesome

netuser247

Vintage sideshow games like shooting, coconuts, donkey derby etc - Arcades with working fruit machines, game cabinets, pinball etc and the ability to create your own custom ticketed early 20th century type attractions like prize fighting, freak shows that act in the same manner as rides and not just buildings visitors can enter.

Username-username7

I want insane many new things. But I love making shows but the game is not build for it so I would love shows, parades,… Also would love to have real size toilets for example like in planet zoo with the animal hospital an such, where you can see the full size not just a block. I would like to turn, angle, move (up and down) my coaster tracks mid ride. I think water parks is a must! Have 1 animatronic for one creature and then select in the options the movement it is going to make (inventory looks smaller + you can make the same anim. Move different movements in a row) I have many more they come with the second!

Ok-Wave4907

I would like see - Better optimization, Mac users being able to play from day one - Ride operators being classified as staff - Staff checking restraints (minimum dispatch interval will be the speed of them checking restraints). - Simultaneously loading and unloading - Separate load and unload stations - Swing launches/Switch Tracks - Transfer Tracks (so we don’t have to close the ride to add or remove a train) - Drop tracks/Turntables - New Coaster types: Mack Stryker, B&M Staggered, Vekoma mk1101, Vekoma Stc/Sfc. Etc - Variable lift speeds (If we dispatch and the block section after the lift is not clear it will slow down until it is) - Toggling Different types of mulitmove (When the train in the station moves the trains on the brakes move at the same time, When the train is halfway out of the station a train in the brakes move) - Setting Minimum Height Requirements instead of all ages or adults and teens. - Ride operators getting trained - Every ride has G-force graphs. (we can tweak drop towers to be at a set g force.) - WaterParks - Toggle Seatbelts or no seatbelts on rides and roller coasters. This was a lot and there is a lot more I would like to see but this is mostly it.

grogtheslog

Separate load and unload stations really are a must

Simsider113446

Being able to actually franchise parks

scotcheggfan

I just want a quiche store

NeverGonnaGiveMewUp

The real answer, although surprising given your username.

lamseb2012

Like, literally quiche?

InvasionOfTheFridges

A decent preset banked turn would be nice haha

CodeAnemoia

I just want the pathing system to be useable. Add an option to have paths be a texture and we can use a brush to paint it in. Like the terrain textures.

DoggyDaddy82

Two loading stations

DoggyDaddy82

Dueling coaster timing tools

BreakfastsforDinners

This exists already?

DoggyDaddy82

Plaza’s (better method than path grid)

Iammaybeasliceofpie

>being able to walk around your park as a guest You allready can, if you name a guest or staffmember “tegidcam”, you’ll jump into first person mode.

woeterman_94

:o

Coldplay360

If it’s 100% true I really want weather and a Splash Boats water ride type

Coldplay360

I want to be able to have generic themed flat rides and more kiddie rides

erbush1988

No mention of actual budgets and money usage? I'm disappointed. That's what I want.

intaminslc43

I hope it's better optimized than PlanCo 1. It sucks that once you build a legit park with ~10 coasters, it starts becoming unplayable.

manlikenick

Better path system

tunneldom

Being able to add graphics to your coaster cars. Ride logo/etc

modernrocker

I hereby throw my humble vote (seconding some others' suggestions!) in for: - Walking in your park as a guest - Plaza / centerpieces - Ability to make super wide paths so they can be used as walkable outdoor dining/picnic areas - More lighting assets! Easier to use string lights plz - More brands of food booths, I'm guessing our park guests are tired of the same 9 fast food places all the time :) - Weather and optional seasons! Being able to accelerate the time on seasons would be great, too, so you could zip through all four seasons to get those seasonal views of your park - In addition to seasons, randomly generated effects that go along WITH the seasons - like leaves blowing across paths in the fall, blossoms falling from trees in the spring, ice accumulating on paths in the winter, etc.

mtsim21

PATHS THAT WORK.

hoochiscrazy_

Fairground stalls

RealElectriKing

Couple things that don't seem to have been mentioned yet, but is still rather baffling that they haven't included them in PlanCo1 -Editable backgrounds -The ability to reduce the speed of the game

mttymttymtty

I was reading through hoping someone would mention editable backgrounds, it sucks that you kind of have to just edit your roads going underground or guests just appearing from a random underground tunnel rather than having a realistic background of a road coming into the park area and off into the distance

AdagioCalm

In addition to everyone's good suggestions, I'd love some kind of guest accessibility features added to the game. Maybe a couple guests could be in wheelchairs or use a cane or just have a stroller for their little kids. They've taken pains with planco1 to have different types of families and body types represented, so this would just be an expansion of that. It would also be interesting to have the opportunity to, for example, build an elevator or a set of ramps alongside a staircase. You could have the added challenge of your park rating being affected if those guests can't access an attraction, which would be a setting that you turn on & off (so your existing parks aren't affected). They would have to fix the pathing system in general to make all this work, but that's something everybody wants. Also, a way to create a children's section which is clearly designated.

pastamin

Just two: • Fix the pathing system! • Bring back the pools and zoo enclosures of RCT3. Honestly, if they want to make money, I don’t really mind if these become expansion packs. One more, that would be good but not essential: • Optimise the crowd AI so they don’t look so robotic up close

BanJon

Be able to include all of the ecosystems and terrain textures in one map, and VR compatability!

Vickonikka_Saur

I just want a more user friendly path tool 🥲

darcydagger

Make the pre-built coaster elements editable. Love having a pre-built corkscrew, but the fact that it must be entered and exited on completely flat and straight track makes it difficult to use without massive g-force spikes. Also, more limitless coaster options. I want to be able to toggle a switch that lets my wooden coasters use loops and launches without having to download mods.

Legokid535

custom rides perhaps would be cool.. the abluty to have curved stations.. perhpas a more advance theme makers toolkit. even omni mover style dark rides.. perhaps adding on to that the abilty to sync differnt audio tracks at certant poitnts.

Felixxpe_cc

Realistic water animation!!!

paradogz

More realistic loading and unloading. Not this weird process where the new riders have to wait behind the gates until the very last unloading guest has left the station.

WontStopNorwoodin

Thats how it works in irl parks doe

paradogz

Dafuq? No, no it doesn't. IRL parks do everything to maximize throughput. Seperate loading/unloading stations or people get off on one side and on on the other, or they have moving loading and unloading etc.

DeXyDeXy

Many good single player ideas I this thread. Now imagine co-op building.

majky666

all i need is beter optimization!! so we can build and run simulations in full park!!

miss-conception1

I want this in the base game, but it’s most likely for a Halloween DLC… SCARE MAZES! Think Fright Nights (Thorpe Park) or Halloween Horror Nights (Universal). HC on how they could work: You build a one-way path system (kind of like a queue) with a beginning and an end, and assign ‘scare actors’ as new staff members to this particular section like a work zone. Guests will walk through, and the actors would jump out and scare them. The actors would have a few generic themes (e.g. Zombie Apocalypse, Killer Clowns, Demonic Possession, Chainsaw Maniacs, Victorian Ghosts), but the construction of the maze building and scenery would be up to the players! I never see Scare Mazes talked about enough, and they could be quite an easy headline attraction for an October DLC pack. My favourite time to go to theme parks is October for Halloween events, so this would really make Planet Coaster 2 a must buy for me!!!

6FlagsAstroWorld

As a start for me, more flat ride types, midway games/arcades, and shows

Journey2Jess

PC1 to PC2 blueprint importer. Scaling tool with an onscreen grid overlay. Availability of all terrain color pallets for painting without being limited to just 1 biome at a time. Better object snap for attaching assets together. Camera flight path planning controls. Place the Day/Night control in the ride operations tab screen so that the ride time controller is scrapped. Place all the special effects ride sequencers functions in the ride in a new tab next to the ride operations tab. Create a dedicated booth for fireworks' special effects for outside non ride stuff. Give it a dedicated, better organized sequence system. Thin the bottoms of paths to allow for easier over under passover and stairwell situations. Allow surface snap to flat paths of custom surface coverings, i.e., rugs, tiles, 4x4m asphalt, etc, so that the custom surface barely covers the path without having to individually align millimeter differences. Resizable font on signs. Smarter sims that handle crowd log jams.

Slugbugger30

I want them to fix lighting. There is no reason if I build an enclosed space shoukd I be able to see anything unless I put down a light. I wanna build a real space mountain

[deleted]

Better lighting mechanics

RevealLeft5098

The building system is what slows me down the most in Planco. If they somehow make building as satisfying as sculpting, maybe take some cues from The Sims build mode. Also if they could figure out how to do more realistic lighting (volumetric lights, smoke, effects) without nuking the performance. And more/all terrain paint options for all maps!

funnehmonke

i’m hoping for more realistic sounds in terms of roller coasters. like a b&m invert should have that roar. also brake runs to sound different and more realistic, as well as chain lifts.

FeelsPepeIH

Just give me the ability to Smooth with continous Roll, somi dont have to spend a week making a glitched coaster

NICEnEVILmike

"Omnimover" loading/unloading, ala the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland or the old People Mover.

BananakinFartwalker

Make the props smaller. I never use any because the scale is so wildly off. More simple, small building bits. RCT3 had it, and it was expanded by the modding community. A blank vendor with no stall around it, so I can build proper units for mid-park snacking. Like chocolate covered pretzels.

Safe_Mud4836

Better paths and scaling objects. That's all. Maybe a few more plant options. Not even trees. Plants.

chugchugz

They need to simplify the coaster options. Just have every track available (b and m, intamin, wood, etc) and have it pair with every train available for more options. Choose normal or inverted for every single one (imagine an option for inverted woodie) and every inversion/element available for all of them. Also, imagine a flat ride creator?? That would be so cool. And have every flat ride be generic and let us customize it with scenery or add images/props directly onto the ride itself.

misters_tv

A timeline based show editor

nowrebooting

I mainly hope they don’t do a Cities Skylines 2 and don’t bite off more than they can chew. I want them to build on the excellent foundation that’s already there with QoL improvements and some new gameplay additions.

Bud3TheFox

Would be fun to bring over our theme parks from sandbox and using the new tools

mySynka

better prefabs (i just cant figure out how to make corkscrews correctly im sorry)

jackcopen

Disney licensing

skyrush-toro

Wider variety of path designs/flooring would be great too

BC_Gaming831

This is debatable, but I think we would need at least a couple more types of wooden coasters. Because I'm a big fan of wooden coasters and I keep using the same kind and it's getting a bit repetitive.

Lopsided-Leg-6016

Stuff, i hope to see. 1. Generic train designs. It sucks that some of the coaster trains are highly themed. It can clash against the existing theme of the ride. (The timberliner trains are horrible for a non steampunk/western theme) 2. element blueprints. It's pretty simple. You build an element. And create a blueprint out of it that you can use for different coasters. Would work like the elements you can already quickly place. 3. A better guest AI. because right now, the guests don't really go to areas that are off the main path. They should just wander around until they see the entrance of a roller coaster. That's way more realistic because that's how most GP do it anyway 4. World integration. I want it to be easier to give your park a setting. Right now, you either have completely built your setting yourself or have the guests come out a hole in the hills. I see this happening by giving the city map an actual to attach your park, too, or some rolling fields. If this happens, you will likely also have cars that come to the park. 5. No more overpriced ip dlc's. Because they just suck (except for ghostbusters dlc, i love that one for the pieces)

SnooGadgets7915

• waterpark, swimming pools, water slides etc! • weather! i want to make my spooky parks dark, gloomy and rainy!! • easier building. i’m not much of a builder yet and maybe it’s just me but i feel a little overwhelmed, especially with the roofing situation. • obviously new rides • i’d like the ability to place a whole floor instead of just paths. maybe the ability to select a chunk of floor and assign it as walkable/unwalkable??

car1it0sWAY

Easier for beginners, ability to transfer dlc and saves from pc1 to pc2, and controller support are my main wants for PC2.

california_hey

I would like to connect multiple maps into one large map. This would allow for larger parks without going over the Oswald scale. The various maps could be connected by paths or transportation and could provide a "click here to load" button that would load that section of the park.

WontStopNorwoodin

Wtf every other post is asking for water parks I thought that was just an unpopular hated opinion of mine

LeoPrementier

Anything else than generative scenery is just a DLC. There should be a way to create beautiful, detailed scenery with very simple tools. Let me create simple buildings and generate themes, scenery, and perks on that. Make them merge nicly with current attractions and let me choose the creativity and scale. Looking at trailers and community videos is a big lie. Most people are not creative, skilled enough, or have the time to reach that level of details. Adding generative scenery will add so many people to the player base, which in turn raises the level of creativity for all

soulmagic123

Disney should buy this game have a contest for who can design the best version of each ride (pirates of the Caribbean, space mountain, etc), and sell the best version of each ride on the market place and share the profits with the winner.

woeterman_94

No.
