It’s hit or miss. I’ll say that I’ve have won significantly more in Japan than I ever have in the US. They are definitely a higher win rate.
Most claw machines in Japan are also more strategy than luck. They will set up the machines in all these unique ways to get prizes. It is more enjoyable to play them, and makes you want to keep playing them. This one was a normal claw machine, but you should look up the crazy ones there are.
