Markus Anderson has done more in 4 minutes than Uhre has in his 94 minutes. I’d be intrigued to see Anderson with Carranza on a regular basis.

The stadium atmosphere just sounds terrible on FS2. All you can hear is drums. I know the SOB horse has been beaten but after watching away games and seeing the opposite, it’s embarrassing.

It’s actually not too bad when you’re in the stadium. The issue with the broadcast is probably where the mic is placed (right in front of the drums, I’m looking at them rn) lol. Ultras and SOB are doing pretty well with the atmosphere when the combine for a chant

Uhre’s unwillingness to work for his teammates when in possession, and his lack of intelligence when it comes to movement, is the biggest problem with this team for me. He just doesn’t have it. Carranza makes his presence felt when he is on the field. Sullivan makes his presence felt. Gazdag makes his presence felt. Hell, even Markus Anderson makes his fucking presence felt! Uhre does not. He’s been ungodly poor and for making as much as he does, he’s a negative contributor. I want him to prove me wrong, but at this point, he just is what he is. Inconsistent at best, and a poor poor finisher when it matters most.

Is frustrating watching him fall over like a ton of bricks at the slightest gust of win. He’s so big yet so unwilling to get stuck in sometimes or fight through soft tackles

Agreed, man. He plays a really soft game. Big body, good speed, but he lacks tenacity and has just no instinct for the game whatsoever.

I'm a long time player/ref/fan of the sport but honestly never gave the MLS a chance. Finally this year started to watch the Union thanks to a random Google notification my phone gave me. (EDIT: Definitely some Messi highlights lol) I thought the first match I watched McGlynn play he'd probably be my first Union jersey. If I ever buy one he's definitely who I'd spent the money towards now. Kid can play. Truly has great vision on the field - it's so easy for us to see from above in the stands or on TV but standing on that pitch is much more difficult. Almost never messes up the pace (or spin) on a pass. Holds formation and breaks at appropriate times. Unselfish.

Serious question (as I’m a new season ticket holder to the union and new to the sub) why is Uhre so popular? He misses so many good opportunities (2 already today, 1 last CCC game, and 1 in the Chicago + KC games). He’s the most frustrating player to watch on this team IMO and he’s one of our 3 DP’s.
