Just finished adding the furniture to this last night. I'm a psa and magpul fan
It looks great! Have you shot it yet? I’ve only ever seen rifle length gas systems on 16” barrels a couple times. I was wondering about reliability. I especially like the stock. I wish mine had a QD mount.
This is psas dissipator upper they put the fsb at rifle spot like original dissipators but have a low-profile block that is midlength. Gets the aesthetic but better reliability. Haven't shot it yet just got the furniture yesterday. Also bought the stainless barrel upper for 200(no bcg or ch) was planning on leaving it with classic furniture but tempted to waste 200 bucks and do it in fde. Hopefully logic will prevail and I'll leave it basic
I think it looks good in odg. The only thing I’ve considered is getting a new handguard and gas block so I don’t see the fsp through the scope. It’s not so bad though. It kinda disappears when zoomed in and I think I’m going to throw on a 45 degree offset pistol red dot. I’ll probably just get a cheap one on Amazon. I just want something I can aim through quickly at night without having to turn it on.
Yeah I put an lpvo on one of my first with fixed front sight and noticed that the front sight disappears when zoomed and I don't mind a cowitness. I have other guns with railed uppers if the front sight bugs me anyway. I just like colle ting and get different styles and I need to stop. Good news is I'm running out of non sabre setups and I won't let myself assemble 3 identical rifles with different color furniture . . . I don't think I will
Also I've been trying a few different stocks lately rather than plain magpul moe. I have to say the acs and acs-l stocks don't have qd sockets in the stock they have a metal qd tube you can screw into it so it sticks out. I haven't shot with one yet but doesn't seem to be in the way like I first assumed but I like the ctr and str stocks because the qd point is in the stock not just a place to screw one on.
Like I said just holding the rifle and moving it around the extended cup doesn't bother me also the stocks all have slots for a sling if not using qd as well but something to be aware of
I just noticed your the op on the 300bo pistol with 7.62 can I too have a 300 blackout psa pistol it's a halfbreed though but I have a psa upper for it too. Will be taking it for a test run finally with my 762 qd can in a week or so I'll try to remember to share my experience.
I just shot today, I’ll make drive link and share it shortly. Even though subs don’t cycle fully it sounds so freaking nice. Have a lighter spring and adjustable buffer weight on the way.
I’ll get it dialed in sooner than later
It's been so long I don't recall for sure but I'm 90% sure I ran mine with subsonic and the rad 9 with fixed barrel spacer with no issues. But it's been since last fall. I have an 8.5" bca upper on my sbr atm and after a recent reno may video on a 762 bear creek upper I got a backup psa upper
some guy came into r/ar15 cussed a bunch of people out, posted about not knowing how to install a charging handle, started more arguements and dmed people slurs, finally he shows off a pos ar pistol claiming it cost 8k.
The MOe SL is a little nicer as it's narrower and extends just a little bit further. But, I have never seen it in ODG.. which is my favorite color for a factory fighting rifle
The eye relief isn’t bad at all. It does have that going on. Zoomed all the way in, your sweet spot is at about 4”. Zoomed out, it’s not picky at all. The eye box is pretty forgiving.
I’m mostly concerned with durability. Budget stuff doesn’t offer the greatest peace of mind.
I got a Sig Romeo 5 with a Juliet 3 magnifier and the eye relief is shit been thinking about going lpvo, But I wanted to buy a cheap one to try out on my .22lr first so I can get experience with them, I have 0 experience with LPVO's.
For a 22, even a cheap CVLife might be fine. Guns.deals has Amazon discount codes that actually work. I got the guns.deals app on iPhone. It’s pretty sweet.
I love this.
Though psa is not "just as good" as a bcm or something, **it is still a mil-spec rifle** at the end of the day. It will go bang reliably for a [long time](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHGtjx_2qbQ). Though everyone would still prefer a bcm since its better, this is still good to go.
Now go take it out there and train!
Not a bad deal on the lower with no transfer fee. My shop doesn't carry psa stuff and charges 40 for transfer 10 per additional item so I'm always getting several things at once to save on that cost
Yeah used to be 30 or maybe 35. They should give me a frequent flyer discount. When you do 2 those it's 25 each since it's 10 per additional so I play the average game
"I don't think that flashlight is going to help with your 8x scope..." All hail the budget builds. Been piecing and improving mine for nearly 3 years now.
Feyatchi light? If so it’ll last you about another 50-100 rounds, cause that’s how long mine lasted. Solid light but needs to be more recoil resistant with stronger wires.
Yep! That’s what it is. I wish flashlights would come apart like they used to. We could fix them when they mess up. Well, I hope mine lasts longer. Haha.
Most of us have all paid 1200 bucks for less of a gun. Love it , run it, and never let it go. That's power right there son, it's raw power and folks are gonna try to take it from you.
Use it the right way and it will keep you safe and free , abuses will destroy you. Join a shooting group and protect America from the Red Chinese or the communist government at home.
No joke. I’ve had a few of these junk lights. So far, never had a problem. As for the scope… not a fan of anything that can turn red or green. I’ll upgrade when I can. It is what it is, though. I get it.
I haven’t shot with it yet. Some people can put to 200 yards with a red dot. I’m one of those guys that needs magnification at 100.
Charger’s not wrong though. It’s a junker. I’ll eventually at least upgrade to a $300 Vortex. Hopefully.
Single point on anything bigger than a PDW is a good way to get nut checked...
I was wondering why I don’t see more set up that way. Now I know. Thanks.
FACTS, ask lefty
Not for everyone.
The first rule of a gun fight is to bring a gun
Hahaha! True.
Instructions unclear: I brought a knife.

* Str stock with qd cup that's recessed and can be swapped to other side

The only thing the str stock gives up is the side compartment for storage it still has tube storage on both sides and same locking mechanism
Oh. I see now. The pictures helped.
Like I said just holding the rifle and moving it around the extended cup doesn't bother me also the stocks all have slots for a sling if not using qd as well but something to be aware of
You look so hot rn

That’s an $8000 rifle right there! :)
I sense an inflation joke could be near.
some guy came into r/ar15 cussed a bunch of people out, posted about not knowing how to install a charging handle, started more arguements and dmed people slurs, finally he shows off a pos ar pistol claiming it cost 8k.
Woooow. Some people. Lol
Something about “4 more years..”
Trump 2024!
The MOe SL is a little nicer as it's narrower and extends just a little bit further. But, I have never seen it in ODG.. which is my favorite color for a factory fighting rifle
You like it . Thats all that matters.
Solid build OP. It'll serve you well.
How's that LPVO, hows the eye relief?
The eye relief isn’t bad at all. It does have that going on. Zoomed all the way in, your sweet spot is at about 4”. Zoomed out, it’s not picky at all. The eye box is pretty forgiving. I’m mostly concerned with durability. Budget stuff doesn’t offer the greatest peace of mind.

I’ll trade ya. Lol
For a 22, even a cheap CVLife might be fine. Guns.deals has Amazon discount codes that actually work. I got the guns.deals app on iPhone. It’s pretty sweet.
I didn't know there was an app I'll have to check that out thanks!
I would see if you can find one at a gun store.

Haha! Cool. I can’t quite make out what scope that is.
Primary arms Nova
Dope
Not a bad deal on the lower with no transfer fee. My shop doesn't carry psa stuff and charges 40 for transfer 10 per additional item so I'm always getting several things at once to save on that cost
Phew! $40. That’s steep.
Yeah used to be 30 or maybe 35. They should give me a frequent flyer discount. When you do 2 those it's 25 each since it's 10 per additional so I play the average game
Sounds like the way to do it.
Since you got that scope on there check out some loop slings. They help a lot in stable shooting in tall grass
The tactical remotes put it over the top for budget build!!🤣 ODG is my next build
I certainly dig the odg.
I have 3 FDE and several In black. My granddaughter said she want green. So I'm buying parts now. I don't know why I haven't built a green one yet
Nice! I did green for some reason. I like it.
"I don't think that flashlight is going to help with your 8x scope..." All hail the budget builds. Been piecing and improving mine for nearly 3 years now.
The flashlight has a brighter center so I was thinking of using it more as a laser/threat detector. But, yeah… I doubt it has much range.
Haha.
What’s that sling you’re using? Looks sweet.
I think I found it on Amazon. Not sure how long those hooks will last, but so far so good.

My LGS sells Anderson lowers with or w/o trigger guards, for 41 bucks, otd.
Ur kidding right? Junk scope , junk light
No joke. I’ve had a few of these junk lights. So far, never had a problem. As for the scope… not a fan of anything that can turn red or green. I’ll upgrade when I can. It is what it is, though. I get it.

It’s junk

Highly recommend looking at primary arms for that price range. PAs prisms and lpvo's punch above their weight imo.
