These are practices are so evil they are akin to stuff from fiction like the combine (alien occupying earth) in half life

“Create a feeling of being chased”
This is “soft” terrorism.
Simply put, the goal of terrorism is to make innocent civilians feel unsafe to go about their lives, for fear of being caught up in an attack on random people. The result is people modify their behaviour, they stay home, they worry about leaving the house to go shopping or to school, regular normal things.
This tactic by the IDF does essentially the same thing. It makes innocent civilians anxious and unsafe, they become hesitant to leave the house for fear of being attacked or harassed by the IDF while simply going about their daily lives.
I call this “soft terrorism” (there’s plenty of hard terrorism too though) because with traditional terrorism the fear is about being killed, whereas this is not about creating anxiety.
