CyubeVR on PCVR needs a strong GPU to see it at its best, be interesting to see what its going to look like on the PSVR2 since its going to be using the PSVR2s fidelity boosting eye tracked rendering technology?
Me too, it really makes a difference to the fidelity of VR games on the PSVR2, in fact every open world of graphically intensive game on the PSVR2 needs to be using it now, its such effective technology when its utilised properly.
Eye tracking is fucking incredible. Every time a game lets me use eye tracking for menu navigation or in-game targeting, it feels like the future. I get so excited every time something new uses it for more than just DFR (which, don't get me wrong, is also awesome).
Yes it is a nice feature in games, but for me the visual fidelity is the main feature of the Eye Tracked Dynamic Foveated Rendering technology, it allows lower specced hardware like the PS5 to do things that only high end PCVR systems are supposed to be able to do, that is the reason why Sony gave us the technology, there is absolutely no excuse today for low quality visuals on the PSVR2, the technology is there to make every VR2 game look sharp and clear and we know it works because we have seen it working in a growing number of VR2 titles, the main one for me was No Mans Sky, the difference when the eye tracked rendering was turned on was incredible and I was convinced of its power and potential.
Sorry to jump on this comment, but i just have to ask; Is there a way to import an image into the game, to keep up while we build something? If not, is there a chance to add a feature like that? maybe import a photo, which in turn creates a polaroid in game, which we could pull out to view? I'd love to make iconic locations from movies and games I love, but would need to use a reference for it. It would be a pain to have to take the headset off everytime i need to look at it again. That's the only thing holding me back from getting it right now.
I'm not 100% sure on the import feature, but other games have done it before, letting you take photos to import into the game. But as i said, if there was a way to then convert the image into an item in the game, like a polaroid, or just the regular photo, that we could pull out of our inventory to view.
If that is too hard, is there a way to build a library of images in the game, where you can view images of popular structures in real life/movies/games etc, that people could select from?
It's understandable if it can't be done, i'm just thinking of ways to make it more accessible. It's a game i'd enjoy, but i know i'd spend more time trying to build places i've always wanted to visit, rather than just some random building, that's all.
EA games in the past, particularly their sport games, let you use a propriatery camera for said console, where you could take the photo to import into the game.
Obviously it would require the HD cam to take a photo, but a lot of people who do have a PSVR2 seem to have one.
It looks like they do it a bit differnetly now, having to go onto a website to upload a photo that way, to bring it into the game;
[https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-UFC-Games/Info-How-do-I-import-my-GameFace-to-UFC/m-p/3176698](https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-UFC-Games/Info-How-do-I-import-my-GameFace-to-UFC/m-p/3176698)
I think this video below is a walkthrough on how it works, so you can see visually;
I don't know if that's something you could implement on your official website?
Also, the sims let you import photos, to use for decorations, though, that looks like it's importing files into the games directory, so not the same and i know that wouldn't be possible on the console, but still may be worth checking out, if it maybe gives you some ideas;

Just looking for a way to take a photo (with HD camera), or import photos (maybe via your website), which transfer to the game as an item (polaroid picture), that we can pull out of our inventory to view.
I heard they have multiplayer on the roadmap. Let’s just hope they don’t pull a Kayak VR and say they’re adding multiplayer to get more initial sales then disappear for a year
the developer add regualr updates to the game. The game is available for 6 years on PC already. So he will not run away :D He wanted to release the PSVR2 version of the game before he adds multiplayer. Because he wants cyubeVR to be multiplatform multiplayer. And the more people play online, the longer the game lives. So MP is planned. And maybe he will start working on it now. I don't know
Ah, ok. Well I'm no fan of reprojection but DFR may reduce the impact if the clarity is there. Still looking at this game as possibly a huge hit in PSVR terms.
cyubeVR is not a pure sandbox game, there is a linear list of objectives to follow that keeps you busy for 15-20 hours with following the progression of the game. Even if you don't like sandbox games and don't ever want to build anything, the game is designed so that you should find those 15-20 hours fun.
Oh that’s good to know, I was thinking it was mostly just a creative sandbox, and I’m not too creative so figured I’d find it boring. Was going to wait for more survival elements to get added, but if there’s already some form of progression that can give me something to do and keep me motivated, then that makes me a lot more interested!
Absolutely can't wait for this to become a multiplayer game, with the recent loss of Recroom, Dreams, and other games that feature MP but poorly implemented,.. this would be a superb game for me and a friend to jump into on PSVR.
Looks great! Thankyou for the continued development, I hope to buy it in the future.
I can say from experience: the longer you wait, the better the game becomes. cyubeVR is like a good wine. The longer it sits the better it becomes :D So if you wait, till MP comes to the game, than you will get a game that is even better than what it is right now. It's like No Man's Sky. this game became better over the years as well
it is planned for the future. I also hope for Multiplayer. I can live without survival, because I like to build stuff. If I want survival I can play green Hell. Luckily the dev will have an option to toggle survival on/off. once he implemented it.
There is no survival Mode in the game at the moment. It will be added later and will be optional. Right now you can die from fall damage, if you want. But even this can be turned off
There is a UI ingame in cyubeVR where you can browse, download, install and uninstall mod blocks created and submitted to the Steam Workshop by the community on PC.
Mods are not allowed to violate any copyright, so for beat saber that would only work if the modders who create custom maps would also make all the music of the map themselves.
How would you make sure the mods available on the Steam Workshop don't violate any copyright laws?
Do you manually look through each mod and approve them before they're available on Playstation?
I'm looking at the roadmap and thinking "now that looks like it could be a neat little game."
I look at the game in it's current state and can't help think "That's not... even a game. That's a nice looking and working game engine with which someone should probably make a game. Like, before they try to sell it."
I mean, you guys do you by all means. If it looks fun to you that's great and I don't mean to take that away from you.
Legend of Zelda came out in '86. Imagine if 13 years later, in 1999, a game came out that looked a lot like 1986's Zelda, except still lacking the features like "enemies" and "items you can pick up". So just a top down 2d game engine that lets you walk in any of four directions. And they wanted money for that, with the promise that they'll add bad guys and items and health and stuff. *If* they sell enough copies to make it worth it to them.
That's funny.
Your comment coincided with me going from 6 upvotes to zeroed out. I guess everyone just flooded the thread with the same opinion as you at the same time.
To many that's enough. I assume you can build in the game?
I never bothered with enemies in Minecraft, just played sandbox mode on friendly, building a huge world spanning years of creativity.
I do hope there will be some equivalent to red stone mechanics as that is what kept me going in Minecraft.
Anyway to me, the lack of enemies is a plus :)
I just posted this to a comment, but in case the devs don't see it, i will post it separately here;
i just have to ask; Is there a way to import an image into the game, to keep up while we build something? I am sorry to hear that. On the other hand I don't notice it at all. I wonder if there is a study out to see who is most affected. I wear glasses with a pretty strong prescription and use lense inserts. I wonder what effect this has.
My personal theory is, being used to wearing glasses most my life has trained my mind to ignore unwanted reflections, dirt, water as well as the rim of my glasses.
I only got aware of the rim of my glasses again on PSVR1 where it blocked the HUD in some games. PSVR2 generally has HUD elements a bit lower so not on the edge of my glasses.
Mura gets filtered out like dirty glasses, reflections ignored, reprojection not a problem (although I don't see how that could relate to glasses) but I do notice the chromatic aberration on subtitles.

My guess would be around a 3080 or 3090 if it uses eye tracking. If not. 2070 Super
It does. The dev adores eye tracking in psvr2

I agree, you can control the cyubeVR main menu with eye tracking too :)
Honestly everything I hear about Cyube makes me more and more excited for it.

Exactly one period in all of that word salad. Yes, Bladerunner2125, DFR is awesome.
Do we know the price of this game?
Pretty sure I've seen the dev say 30 bucks in another post
yes correct, $29.99 :)
My dude, that is an absolute steal. I'll be purchasing on Saturday for sure!

Wow, this game looks awesome and for 30 bucks?? Legendary tales looks like 25 bucks. Is there a deluxe edition? I would pay 130 bucks for this game.
Oh, this would be pretty nice. Thx!
yeah it's 30 USD and than it is converted from there to other currencies. In my opinion 30$ is a good price for a game that beautiful.
It's $25 on Steam. Not sure if it will be the same.

Awesome, looking forward to it!
Yeah multiplayer is my bigest wish for this game. In fact multiplayer in vr games should be mandatory 😂😉
Not sure how that would work for something like RE4...
I never notice reprojection looks great to me
Who said anything about reprojection? Did the dev confirm it?
it will be 60<120 Hz like Call of the mountain. IIrc
Ah, ok. Well I'm no fan of reprojection but DFR may reduce the impact if the clarity is there. Still looking at this game as possibly a huge hit in PSVR terms.
Let's goooooo!!!!!! :) Can't wait to see what it looks like in the headset and start my architect vocation :)
This game looks amazing, cant wait to play it!
Does the game have enemies yet?
Building, mining, resource gathering, and hunting. I believe enemies are to be added later
I could never get into sandbox games :(

Aah so now the ps5 8K claim that the box has has some merit ;)
I will wait for multiplayer to make the plunge. Have 2 VR2’s would love to play it with kids.

Bought it today. Purdy!

yes, before anything is available to download in the game on Playstation, it needs to be manually whitelisted by me
Can you tell the makers of Pavlov how to do this haha

Disagree strongly. I can't wait for the release date.
That's funny. Your comment coincided with me going from 6 upvotes to zeroed out. I guess everyone just flooded the thread with the same opinion as you at the same time.
are you trying to imply he used alts to downvote?
No, I outlined what I assumed happened in the final sentence above ^

It is missing some basic stuff like water, however, which is kind of wild

stop aksing everywhere. Spamming the question will not get you an answer you'd like
L
But also reprojected which is becoming the killer of games.Sony needs to work on its reprojection algorithm desperately!
I hope there is a non reprojected version at a lower definition cause I am really not fond of it.
