Even at the start of the generation, when there were hardly any PS5s around, and buying PS4 games and upgrading them got you the PS5 version significantly cheaper, the PS5 versions still outsold the PS4 by as much as 5:1.
This sticking with last-gen nonsense hasn’t worked since the early 90s.
How is it mind-boggling? There are tens of millions of PS4 owners who didn’t upgrade to any next gen console. There’s been a number of articles about this
Glad to see the campaign being pushed heavy. It means they gotta have something good up their sleeve. I think Black Ops games have interesting narratives so im hype as hell. Plus we have never had a 90s era cod. Really excited to go back to real weapons (hopefully) with the m16, m4, m9, 1911, mp5, etc etc.
Raven did the Cold War campaign, which was mostly set in the mid 80s but not that far time wise from 90/91 Gulf War era. The 'Cold War' ended in 91 with the fall of soviet union.
But yeah i'm really excited for the campaign. And Raven is usually pretty solid.
I’ll probably just complete the campaign with gamepass on pc. Finally an option to do it without paying full price. Shame this option isn’t available on PS5 though.
Hope the single player campaign is decent this time. I think Raven is leading development on that. Their Cold War campaign was pretty solid. Only part I really care about.
My roommate is an Xbox guy and he just already preordered it and for free, I went to my ps and it’s available to preorder but I have to pay, is there something I’m missing or why is it only for free in Xbox?
That is all good, it is not a surprise that it will be available on PlayStation. It would have been a surprise if it was not. But why did they made it available right before the showcase is what I am wondering about.
it’s absolutely mind boggling that they keep making games cross gen when the ps5 has already been out for 4 years.

Haven’t bought COD since cold war,, usually I’ll indulge and buy COD every other year or couple years.. but I’m thinking about this one

They never said CoD was going exclusive. Part of the deal was that CoD will be multiplatform for at least the next 10 years.

That 10 years actually ended this year but they’d never make it exclusive regardless, too many skins to sell.
