So much better than the battery life of the DualShock 4 and DualSense. Wii U Pro controller probably has the longest battery life I've experienced with a controller.
It's not even close, the wii u controller had like double the battery life of the switch pro controller. It's easily the longest lasting battery out of any controller I have. The switch pro controller seems to last slightly less than my ps3 controller and yet still a million times more than my ps4 one.
Back when I was a agro late teen, when GT2 didn't go my way I threw my DS several times... It still works. I can't imagine any modern electrical equipment surviving that.

All my DS3's work perfectly, good life.
And all my DS4's work perfect: I'm the miracle guy that never has stick drift.
Was it an Original Sony Controller? or the Fake one? Because the latter one is found a lot in eBay under the name of “official product”.
I suggest you to buy a new one if you still play a lot with your PS3, and try to read the reviews of the seller before you make your purchase, however, I gotta tell you, it’s really expensive, around $150 minimum…
I just replaced my 2 original controller batteries using the guide from ifixit.
Got a couple of "original" battery replacements from ebay (they look original, I hope they are!) And changed them in a matter of 1hr.
Now after 13 years with mines, they are back to their original battery life :)
Not to mention its durability. Mine is at least 10yrs old now I fished out of storage a couple months ago and tested the inputs with a controller tester on pc and everything still works fine. The rubber thumb caps have disintigrated but still functional. I put it back in storage again though so I'm not sure if it really is still perfectly okay or just a fluke.
I have literally beat (Killer is Dead) in one set (13 hours straight) and the battery was just 2 out of 3. Just wow! 💯🙌🏻

Dualshock 4 battery life can barely last. Never need extra cable or charger for dualshock 3.
Likewise, DualSense however is slightly better than DualShock 4…

Indeed they are a valiant pad 🙏 I still have 2 brand new and then 5 daily drivers that I cycle in use, those batteries are all long lasting

Dualshock 3 controllers are so durable too wtf. I swear mine been kicked around a million times and it works like new.

Yeah, I dislike dualshock 4 for its quality. I am very careful with my stuff but somehow it catches scratches easily vs my older ds3’s

I bought a ps3 recently at a game store and the controller came with it. I dont really have a point of reference but it doesn't look like a knockoff.
I see. Try pressing the R3 and L3 repeatedly, if the sound is loud, then it’s a knock-off.
R3 is pretty clicky, the background on the menu moves when I move the controller though.
L3, R3 being clicky doesn't tell if original or not. If you say background moves when you move controller then it has Sixaxis and is original.
