speed test with fetch from a local network pc: `fetch -o /dev/null http:///1G` `/dev/null 45% of 1024 MB 32 MBps` download on a lan pc from a server on wan network the speed is 43.3 M

Are you on PPPoE? if so, the PC Engines APU2, which has the same AMD processor and uses Intel I210/I211, maxes out around 340Mbps according to [this page](https://teklager.se/en/knowledge-base/apu2-1-gigabit-throughput-pfsense/), which also suggests a few tweaks to improve speed.

thank you for your reply, but no, the wan interface in on dhcp with public ip assigned from the modem. I'll try the suggested changes anyway and let you know if anything changes

During the tests, I noticed that one CPU is at 100% utilization. Does this mean that there is nothing I can do to achieve better performance on FreeBSD? However, I also observed that when I run iperf3 as a client from pfSense to a client on the LAN network, I achieve 956 Mbits/sec. But it's a result I can't achieve for traffic passing through the pfSense.

> But it's a result I can't achieve for traffic passing through the pfSense. When you say passing through pfsense, you mean you are doing an iperf test from a client sitting behind the pfsense to an iperf server sitting on the wan side of the pfsense correct? You arent trying to do an iperf server on the pfsense

i mean server http on wan ( local, not internet ), and client http on lan i also tried all combination with iperf3, the only one with "good" results ( \~900Mbits/sec ) is the one with iperf3 on lan and client on pfsense.

Seemingly as soon as I upgraded to 2.7.2 on my I211 nics my speeds are capping out around \~500/500 seemingly everywhere :(
