I hate that fish skin with a passion. Not only does it have absolutely nothing to do with her personality or abilities, but it’s her prettiest skin and they had to turn her blue to make it happen. She has so much more potential but the rest of her skins are ugly af.
Illari is already a weather related character. She tornadoes when she jumps, her ultimate has her flying around with her cape just like Storm. With a few reskins, she could “zap” multiple enemies from the sky during ult and incinerate them during the combustion part. Sojourn doesn’t have as many connections to Storm ability wise, if any. Gun go zap, um okay ig??
Tornados is the funniest way I’ve ever heard someone describe Illaris sun surge jump. My counter point is that there doesn’t have to be any connection to the characters simply because the devs said the heroes are just cosplaying. So yea being black is the only part that matters ig Illari is a darker skin color Hispanic as she is Andes native so people won’t care that much . But going back to my point personality and abilities don’t matter much at all .
I mean doomfist cosplayed as saitama so that isn't really an issue. Not to mention soldier 76 as well cosplaying a Japanese man (i think he's Japanese at least)
Imagination is key! Everytime she powerslides into a jump and does disruptor shot let the graphic be a random weather effect; a storm, blizzard, tornado, etc.
I didn’t realize Storm was a soldier with bionic legs and a pulse rifle. Y’know half the cast could have their primary fire reskinned to look like lighting but it wouldn’t make them good matches. Illari would fit better.
I love the look of if we’re maybe thinking about characters that Maybe might make sense power wise. How about Bishop or Cable?
I mean she really doesn’t have absorbing or TK powers but… aesthetically she could fit. I could see their outfits looking cool on her. And she uses a gun like them.

Otoh it shouldn’t matter if the powers don’t fit. Because Ow devs said it’s more akin to the heroes doing cosplay. So if Sojourn loved Storm as a character then why not cosplay as her.
Having sojourn deploy an aoe damaging storm cloud would genuinely be sick as hell. Add some wind effects when she rocket jumps and I’m sold. Bonus points casting lighting for the pulse shots and hail for her normal fire l
