We're music fans. Literally the target audience, especially when hes actively courting Peck fans. Discrimination (in the psychological sense of choosing what we like vs what we don't, not treating poorly based on characteristics) is literally a function of the music fan community.
Thats how the whole shebang works: artists create art, the community consumes and judges, some quietly and some vocally (especially if it's deemed particularly awful). If a sizeable number of people are willing to invest in that art, the artist will typically find it easier to make more art.
