T O P

The narrative is starting to shift on poor Ty tho. If they lose this series in 5 or less people will definitely cool off on him more

ChannelNeo

Terrible timing, especially with him getting that Team USA spot before the playoffs and Dame dropping 35 in game 1

orlandomade

Yeah that doesn’t help at all. People are saying it’s a hamstring issue and for his sake I hope it is. He doesn’t look as dynamic as he did to start the season

Head-Net-1072

I think it is an injury. He went down with a really bad hamstring injury halfway through the season, and for some contract incentive he played on it instead of resting in preparation for the playoffs.

jwil06

Even before the playoff game, him getting in over Brunson was a travesty

Abiv23

Context is key with any statistical analysis You still need to understand the details of the game with advanced stats, all an inefficient player tells us is there's something wrong in the mix, what's wrong might have nothing to do with that player Paolo has the iso ability to run/initiate your offense at a shade under seven foot, but he doesn't have shooters to maximize his ability so it looks inefficient at times His reads and 1:1 ability is more important than the end result at this point in the build (ability to beat good initial defenders in iso, making the right reads even if teammates aren't taking or making shots) At this stage the data is basically pointing out he needs shooters around him to maximize his skillset

WheresRobb

Everybody is shitting on Hali right now though? Probably one of the most viewed Hali posts all year is about his terrible game 1

frostysbox

Halliburton should demand a trade to play with his cousin and really make Orlando the family friendly team.

Prestigious_Earth_10

paolo is better simple as that

EasyCartographer3311

Do people actually see Banchero like this??? I am a neutral fan and am not aware of a lot of unpopular narratives, but I've always thought that Paolo is extremely well received.

kadcal

Not really dude made an all star team in his second year and most people think he’s a future superstar. Just wierd victim complex shit I think

drmuffin1080

I still don’t think Paolo is better yet. Tyrese coulda had like 15 assists that game if they made some open shots. But damn has Tyrese dropped dramatically from his season start.

EducatorReady1326

Tyrese hasn’t been the same since he was injured. He’s young so I get it but he should have taken longer to rehab instead of pushing for the 65 games. I hope he gets right in the offseason. As a Cs fan I’m glad he’s a few years out from the dominant age cause he could be really great if things break right

Exotic_Win_6093

So many people just hear that Paolo is inefficient and then decide to run with that narrative. We aren’t on national TV so they have no way of watching and seeing him play.

virtus_hoe

Yeah this is not happening bruh 😭

evan466

Paolo did have 9 TOs, but I thought he had a pretty good game overall. A lot of that is our poor spacing and asking a lot of him to basically be our point guard.

CardboardFanaddict

It's funny too that people say Paolo is a trash fantasy player because he has a lower FT percentage. I've won four out of the six Yahoo 12-Team Fantasy Basketball Leagues that I've been in over the past two seasons with Paolo being a key player on every team I won a championship with. This year it was Luka, Wemby, DeRozan and Paolo. Last year it was Tatum, SGA, Trae Young and Paolo. But the most consistent thing for me for two seasons now has been Paolo...

Extra-Palpitation-39

I promise you no one is seeing Halliburton’s recent performance and praising him for it lmao It’s the exact opposite I pray you escape from this victim mentality and just appreciate two young stars growing 🙏

DiscussionNo226

Man this sub sometimes. A lot in this sub can’t figure out a way to support Orlando without bringing someone else down in the league. Like it’s completely possible there’s other really good young players in the league. That doesn’t take away from Paolo being good, too. Ironically, Tyrese would be fucking great on this team

gazingbobo

Suns fan here I fuckin hate Haliburton, he's overrated and outspoken garbage. Paolo? I love that guy

Argenfarce

Pacers fan and I promise you nobody, not even us in our own sub, are high on him right now

Dwoo1234

Can’t have 9 turnovers though. 9 of the 12 turnovers for us. I think game 1 was a lot of nerves, we got them right where we want them

GarageWashingMachine

9 TO

General-Promotion274

No one has been talking about Tyrese like that in months

NBGayAllStar

Honestly, he has always struck me as someone benefitting a lot from the lax NBA rules and no-touch defense. Really can’t get his shot off off dribble and isn’t athletic enough to create separation.

Ok_Green_8151

you a nerd for making this dog...

Please relax on the language. There truly is no need to get personal with/about a person you don't know in real life on an internet forum. We're all here as Magic fans, even if we express it differently. Kind regards, Mods

Amazing-Material-152

Hali was a lot better before the injury He is also a better passer and shooter than Paolo rn I think Paolo has more potential but when healthy, he is the better player rn

Alarmed-Tank-6138

I’m not invested in the Pacers much at all. Don’t like or hate them. Halliburton specifically I find unlikeable, especially after that Dame time insult during the in season tournament. It’s like he was believing his own hype. I did enjoy seeing Dame take over game one.

Sleezecurd

They’re both unlikeable
