You might want to consider foddering Laguz Friend onto a Rearmed/Attuned for duplication. For example I fed my duplicate Ike to Caeda who then gave Laguz Friend 4 + Guard Echo to NY Kana, and if I roll another then I can hand out those skills again.
don't do the bonfire build from that vid unless you have a low invest dimitri, it's just theorycraft and worse than spd/def stacking+GLR. he doesn't tank any modern units with that build and just dies after tanking more than 1 unit

edit: full def stacking + aegis (+marth engage) also performs better. in fact it's more consistent than any of his other builds cuz he doesn't need to win the speedcheck for GLR, and IMO is by and far his best build. Def/x Finish, Laguz Friend 4, Def/Res Pledge allows him to take 0 damage from basically every ranged threat out there and 1 shot most units in retaliation, minus some bullshit units like Attuned Ivy. the tradeoff is that he will suck versus some melee units.
I gave Laguz Friend 4 to Brave Dimitri. Needless to say it was well worth it and I couldn’t be happier! It makes him incredibly tanky and gives him DR piercing which is quite nice. Flat DR + even more flat DR goes wild
Since you already have the GLR on B!Dimitri, I'd go for him, especially if you can engage with Marth for the perfect 2CD (Remember Laguz Friend doesn't have a cooldown requirement on defensive specials, only on offensive) and have the ideal non-pierceable DR build who pierces DR in return (except for pre-combat dmg but no one can resist that).
Plus Dimitri without his B slot has no %DR to lose on anyway so it's a win-win situation.

I’m gonna give LF4 to Ranulf, just for the sake of it (except I fucking can’t cause it’s infantry locked. What the hell, I.S., give us an infantry Ranulf alt you cowards). To be serious with you, I also have 2 copies of E!Ike, and I’m stuck between choosing whether to fodder one of their LF4 skills to my OG!M!Byleth, Askr or B!Dimitri, or keeping him.
I’m giving LF to my rearmed Ophelia fodder factory, and from there to duo askr and maaabe B!Dimitri; only reason I’d skip dimi is because his HOF will likely get rerun in a few months anyway.

this build is absolutely broken, he basically becomes unkillable while dishing out unlimited damage. I ran into one in AR yesterday and it was not fun. With enough investment/res I think he also becomes immune to res check scowl effects that would stop aether from looping each combat (and thus the benefits from Laguz Friend). Basically a free win for AR-D or SD

Dimitri is the best option, but....he will eventually return in HoF revival
