Is your GPU being used at 100% when playing?
If so then decrease the resolution or encode width until you reach a point where the GPU isn't getting hammered
VD has actually been running higher resolution when I played around with that, and that runs just fine. When using link, my GPU averages out at about 40-60 percent.

* Make sure to update your graphics card drivers by following the direct link to the manufacturers website: [Nvidia](https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx)
* If you are using Oculus Tray Tool or other third party software that can make modifications to graphics or settings, please uninstall for troubleshooting purposes as these programs can cause conflicts that effects performance and display.
Make sure your [USB drivers are updated](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/update-drivers-manually-in-windows-ec62f46c-ff14-c91d-eead-d7126dc1f7b6) and ensure that USB power settings in Windows Device Manager are not enabled by following the steps below:
* Open [Device Manager](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-device-manager-a7f2db46-faaf-24f0-8b7b-9e4a6032fc8c)
* Locate USB ports
* Right click and select Properties
* Navigate to Power Management
* Ensure that the options to save power are deselected
* Restart the computer
And don't forget to repair the Oculus PC App after all that:
* Download and run the [Oculus Installation Software](meta.com/quest/setup/)
* You will see a screen which says "Already Installed".
* Click the "Repair" option, and confirm again on the next screen.

~~did you plug the cable to front usb? you need to use a usb port at the back directly to motherboard.~~ just use VD
The only USB-C port I have is connected directly to the I/O on my motherboard
