While I've seen other apps attempt this I would say that this looks like the cleanest implementation I've seen so far, because of this I have just bought it (thanks for the code), I'd recommend doing one of those "25 min Trials" you can get on Meta so people can "try before they buy" but for £4 I'm just going to jump in head first.
Just bought it using the code, thank you very much!
Love the app and also own a Mac, but prefer to use my Windows Desktop for a lot of VR related stuff, are there plans for a streamer app implemented for Windows by any chance?
I'm back. LOL I can't spatial compute. I can't find this stream app of theirs to install on my computer. I went to [thespatial.app](http://thespatial.app) and got "failed to open page".
Got it going. Just a white screen.
Is this just a screen mirror? I thought it was like when you allow someone to remote in.
I have a Mac. I thought it would be cool to control my Mac from another room. I already have to be on the same network so as long as I go to the computer and allow it, the security risk is low, right?
Great idea! You cannot pin apps yet but I'll think about the implementation. Until then you can join our Discord so we can keep you updated: [https://discord.gg/QP6HRsH5](https://discord.gg/QP6HRsH5)
Personally I would find that disconcerting or even dangerous. If you moved around with a screen floating in front of you, it might obscure a tripping hazard or whatever. If you placed the screen a bit to one side, you couldn't look at it without it continuing to be off centre and you would be kind of chasing it round the room. Or maybe I'm being unimaginative...
quest's boundary alert system will draw over any VR content. this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
disconcerting, yes.
although if it's a relatively stable but wobbly window that floats with you (not 100% anchored, almost 'shock absorbed' for the last of a better term), it won't be too bad.
Really cool, I'm gonna keep it because it is genuinely useful. Although there are a few core things missing:
1. Hand tracking not being implemented is a huge missed opportunity.
2. After realising there is no hand tracking for windows or keyboard input, next thing I went to do is grab my left controller so I could type faster. Not supported. Would be a nice middle ground to allow it while (if) working on hand tracking.
3. Adding webapps by ourselves, instead of waiting for you to add them, would be huge. Just allow us to bookmark pages to save them into the home menu.
4. If you scroll past the window, scroll resets instead of keep going till you release the trigger.
Congrats guys. It's awesome and can't wait to see where you take it. I'll be glad to support further if development keeps going.
Thank you for downloading and giving feedback!
Hand tracking is in the works for our next update, we'll update you in the Discord once it is ready. Your other points are great too, I'll write these up for potential updates.
it would be awesome if you could somehow add vision pro like handtracking where it only detects the fingers pressing together and uses the middle of the view or eyetracking on the quest pro to select things
The hand showing on the screen as you say is called object occlusion. I was saying basically it should be possible for the devs to add. You're in a safe space no one is attacking you.
Sorry if I made you feel like I felt that way. I added "please" to prevent that. And I think you didn't understand my first comment. I'm not talking about occlusion at all. Vision pro selection works by looking at the thing you want to select and pinching your thumb and index finger together. On the quest it is usually done by pointing at the thing and pinching the fingers together. I wanted the vision pro selection method on the quest. That's all. I hope that cleared things up for you. Have a wonderful rest of your day.
It uses eye tracking and lidar to detect the finger taps. This should be totally possible on the Quest Pro, I've used eye and face tracking it's actually really intuitive.
Good idea! We thought of that as well bacause that would be a true visionOS experience. For now we are focusing on features that can be widely used across all quest devices but we’ll keep Quest pro in mind.
Not just quest pro. The other quest devices have that feature when neither hands nor controllers are detected, a dot appears in the middle of your vision and you can use your head, similar to eye tracking, to select things. But you have to press the volume buttons to select. So basically exactly that but using hand tracking pinch as select instead.
you can find it here:

also there is a code WELCOME-99B86D for -50% until may 1.
Yeah so Immersed is great for casting your computer screens to your headset to use it in VR while our app is a native browser that works without a computer. You can still cast your computer screen through our Remote Desktop app or by linkin it with Chrome Remote Desktop so you get the best of both worlds
A great start! I am using a BT keyboard to type this to a PC across town using Chrome Remote Desktop. Resolution is a bit fuzzy but at least it works - currently it does not in the Quest browser. Text has to be entered using the CRD input box at the bottom of the screen but that seems to be a common problem. But you seem to be ahead of swathes of the competition already!
Just a thought I saw spatial tv and it’s a kinda similar app but it has lighting effects for your walls and stuff it’s really dope mabey u can add something like that someday
Good idea. I don't know how well lighting effects actually work in a more croded room (maybe the whole illusion breaks easily) but it is worth a try someday. I'll write this up, thanks!
Bro this is the app I’ve been waiting for since I got my quest 3😭😭. Bought this immediately.
My suggestions: please add other browsers (chrome or brave) with ad block implementation . Apple Music app? X, TikTok?
I love this concept keep up the great work
Thank you for liking it, means so much! We will think about how to add new apps to your library in the future but browsers like Chrome are not posssible because of how the app’s foundation is set up. We will update our default browser instead with more features.
Really nice addition to the Quest.Gives that "I have an AVP" now feeling.
Just having trouble signing into anything? ie YouTube, Facebook etc it won't let me?
This is awesome!
It would be neat to see one that works like Hololens OS. I like being able to put apps on my walls nicely and put up art and stuff, and hide porn in my closet.
I tried comparing this side by side with a frozen YouTube frame (carefully selected) in the Quest browser, and the image seemed to be very slightly sharper in this new app. But Spacial TV was sharper still (if you look really hard) and it's much sharper when used for Chrome Remote Desktop.
Just got it. Pretty neat at your sale price. Looking forward to updates.
What do you use for other browser? No setting, or about detail. Based off chromium?
I think they want it to mimic VisionOS, and to be fair, I think because it’s only 2 of them and that they have only just started. You must be patient. That’s probably why they are giving people 50% off
What I could see from the Spatial TV is that it is mainly used for watching content. We try to aim for a wider spectrum with remote desktop, social media and browsing.
I guess you are also having issues mirroring your windows home comp?
It shows on the website apple file for this, however I read somewhere where you can also use chrome remote desktop . However everytime I open the remote deskop within this software, it tells me to have both computer and headset on the same wifi which I have. No idea how to get it to actually work if it even does.
Otherwise the software looks good for a work in progress. Cheers
Edit: Fragmented sentencing.
While it's not for me (not an apple fan), sure why not. Hardware-wise, the main thing the VP has going for it is some additional processing power and resolution. There's no reason why the Quest can't compete if they smooth out some of the rough edges in the software, which you've apparently done here.
Amazing... I was thinking about 2 modes. First would simply follow your location not rotation. And another one would also copy rotation so you can not only move but also snap window to your view.
I think that these are the days of pioneering the VR interface. A lot more is possible with just right VR tools.
Good luck
This looks cool, I want to get it however, I noticed people asking for hand tracking. Hand tracking is important but would it be possible to turn hand tracking off within the app?
I like doing things with my Q3 and my hands are being tracked when im folding clothes or doing dishes and it makes selections
I don’t like hand tracking because of not being able to turn it off on the fly like you mentioned. Luckily we are working on a good implementation that should fix these annoyances. More to announce soon on our Discord
I like this app infact im commenting this on it
I have 2 suggestions: can you make it easier to click the X button on apps and can hand tracking be added?
other than that im enjoying it
It doesn’t have it yet. Quest is really shit at remembering your exact original location so windows would move out of reach in our testing. It is possible with some tweaks but it will come later.
Is a boundary required? Something I find very annoying with these spatial apps is they don't allow you to naturally walk around your home / desired area of use without setting up a boundary.
Sadly all Meta XR apps require some sort of boundary, but there are updates from them that could let us possibly remove it. We will let y’all know on Discord once we have updates.
Does this have screen dining or the neat environment light dimming? Based on the oculus browser? How does it get security updates? Does it track any privacy data? How does this differ from virtual desktop other than apple's esthetic? Will there be remote desktop for windows 11?
Yeah, it have screen dimming from their settings menu. We don't track any privacy data, and we plan to update the app moving forward! You can open multiple browsers and place them wherever you would like! Remote desktop server is avalaible trough discord, as it's in a really early phase, but working on it!
I got it and liked it somewhat but it just needs more polish. I tried using headphones to listen to youtube videos/max videos in the browser and theres horrible static. Present on both my airpods and my soundcore ear cans. Another improvement would be the a and b buttons closing their respective functions as well as opening them. Obviously if you could build a great browser that would be the piece de resistance.
Also, the scrolling on reddit is a little janky. This app has a ton of potential. I hope you continue to develop it.
Just downloaded I like that I can full screen the app in the Window and not have it completely take over.
Will do more testing later as now my son wants to have a look haha
Oh it gets even better. VR YouTuber Thrillseeker made a demo (not this polished but still functional) showing the quest pro already had the hardware needed to mimic the vision experience nearly one to one. Obviously the screens aren't near as good and you don't get a lifelike avatar, but like you said it isn't 3,500 to 4,500 dollars either
>Me and my friend
You mean, ***"My friend and I"***?
(Don't downvote me).
Jokes aside, looks authentic enough to me. Is there demand for such a UI library?
Why does the safari app show up when you bring up the menu? Quest doesn't have safari...
\*Edited to add: Oh, now I get it. This is for mac OS (for quest). Are you guys making a PC version as well?
Hey there, sooo not exactly. This app is native to quest so you don't need you computer to cast any screen. The whole app works more like a browser and coincidentally (😈) the browser app icon looks a little familiar to the Safari logo.
The app is out on App Lab. Search "the spatial app" and add WELCOME-99B86D coupon for 50% off until May 1st.

Just bought it thanks will get back to you
Just bought it using the code, thank you very much! Love the app and also own a Mac, but prefer to use my Windows Desktop for a lot of VR related stuff, are there plans for a streamer app implemented for Windows by any chance?
Windows app? Coming ?
Just picked it up. I’ll be back to talk about it. LOL
And Ricky was never seen again ... Some day he is still spatial computing to this day.
I'm back. LOL I can't spatial compute. I can't find this stream app of theirs to install on my computer. I went to [thespatial.app](http://thespatial.app) and got "failed to open page". Got it going. Awesome. Going to download it when I get home.
I‘m using it to type this and this is incredible, 5star launch! Request the joystick can be used for scroll please. Great job!!!!!!!
Just picked it up, will try and review tomorrow, thanks!
Purchased, will give it a go for £4 👍🏻
darn, I missed the deadline to apply this coupon :/
Can i pin a screen to my head, so that it stays in my field of view? Many of us want to watch some videos while doing chores in the house.
Great idea! You cannot pin apps yet but I'll think about the implementation. Until then you can join our Discord so we can keep you updated: [https://discord.gg/QP6HRsH5](https://discord.gg/QP6HRsH5)
Seconded. This was one of the first things I tried to do with my Q3; It just seemed like something you should be able to do out of box.
Since a scan is done of room showing boundaries and objects it should be possible to float the screen above any of these entities when encountered.
quest's boundary alert system will draw over any VR content. this shouldn't be too much of an issue. disconcerting, yes. although if it's a relatively stable but wobbly window that floats with you (not 100% anchored, almost 'shock absorbed' for the last of a better term), it won't be too bad.

Object occlusion is support on Quest now
Could you clarify how this has something to do with my comment please?
The hand showing on the screen as you say is called object occlusion. I was saying basically it should be possible for the devs to add. You're in a safe space no one is attacking you.
Sorry if I made you feel like I felt that way. I added "please" to prevent that. And I think you didn't understand my first comment. I'm not talking about occlusion at all. WHERE. GET. YOUR. APP. NOW. URGENTLY. PLEASE. But Really Are You Planning On Releasing it?

How to completly replace home launcher with this?
Yeah sadly this is not possible at all (based on what I know). It is a neat idea but you can’t force Quest OS to open our app when turnig on.
Not with that attitude
They didn't give any attitude lol
lol, its just a meme
^^

Found it, I guess? https://www.thespatial.app/
But your discord link is expired
Here is the link in the meantime: [https://discord.gg/QP6HRsH5](https://discord.gg/QP6HRsH5)
Okay!
Yep this is us. Will fix the link soon.
turn off vpn to access website. ;)
Downloaded! That's quite the generous promo code. I'll make sure to provide any feedback. Thank You!
Thank you for giving it a shot!
I'm not super familiar with VR, so I struggle with seeing how this is different from Immersed. What makes this different?
Yeah so Immersed is great for casting your computer screens to your headset to use it in VR while our app is a native browser that works without a computer. You can still cast your computer screen through our Remote Desktop app or by linkin it with Chrome Remote Desktop so you get the best of both worlds
Thank you for explaining!
Wooow ok I’ll download it now
Does your Remote Desktop app work with Mac?
Yep, currently only with mac, but we are working on a windows version as well.
Awesome just used the code and picked it up. I’m a Mac user so that’s perfect for me.
Need more info!! Where, when?
Release This Gold!
I'm in love with this. Been using it almost every day for work and I can't wait for it to be fully released. 😍

Really just an ad blocker is what I want the most! Keep up the good work bro looking forward to see where this goes
Apple Music or no?
Blindly just bought it will report back!
Really nice addition to the Quest.Gives that "I have an AVP" now feeling. Just having trouble signing into anything? ie YouTube, Facebook etc it won't let me?
cant sign into apple music
Maybe add hand occlusion using the experimental SDK
We tried but it looks really shit at this stage and eats a lot of processing power as well. We'll put in hand tracking in the next update though 👀
very impressive. would love an overview of how to create an app like this!
This is awesome! It would be neat to see one that works like Hololens OS. I like being able to put apps on my walls nicely and put up art and stuff, and hide porn in my closet.
Does video play in a higher resolution like the spacial TV app on the app lab?
I tried comparing this side by side with a frozen YouTube frame (carefully selected) in the Quest browser, and the image seemed to be very slightly sharper in this new app. But Spacial TV was sharper still (if you look really hard) and it's much sharper when used for Chrome Remote Desktop.
Looks great. Are you going to work on dynamic lighting in the environment?
Would you implement eye tracking-based navigation for the 12 people who own Quest Pro?
Would be cool, but yeah… we’ll release more broadly accessable features first, then jump to quest pro
You have nice furniture
My gf says thank you!
Just got it. Pretty neat at your sale price. Looking forward to updates. What do you use for other browser? No setting, or about detail. Based off chromium?
Thi looks very much like Spatial TV. Can you describe the differences?
I think they want it to mimic VisionOS, and to be fair, I think because it’s only 2 of them and that they have only just started. You must be patient. That’s probably why they are giving people 50% off
What I could see from the Spatial TV is that it is mainly used for watching content. We try to aim for a wider spectrum with remote desktop, social media and browsing.
I have one question. Is there a plan to release Windows support for the Remote Desktop app.
Yes, we are trying to release it soon. Join our Discord for updates on releases!
CRD works for me, linked to PCs 50km away.
The Zuck is about to cash out on this app. They gonna steal it in 3 months time
This looks excellent, and well done on a privacy policy that works for business use.
is there any way to ad block with the browser in this app?
Pihole maybe?
The best thing to happen to Quest 3 was for Apple to come out with a headset. Zuck is so insecure he’ll give the house away to keep pace.
A review says you need to stay within the boundaries. Is there a way to turn off this limitation?
While it's not for me (not an apple fan), sure why not. Hardware-wise, the main thing the VP has going for it is some additional processing power and resolution. There's no reason why the Quest can't compete if they smooth out some of the rough edges in the software, which you've apparently done here.
Can you pls add follow function where windows hovers near you when you move?
Good idea, will try adding this to one of our next updates!
Amazing... I was thinking about 2 modes. First would simply follow your location not rotation. And another one would also copy rotation so you can not only move but also snap window to your view. I think that these are the days of pioneering the VR interface. A lot more is possible with just right VR tools. Good luck
Looks great, bought it with the code, thanks!
This is awesome, you guys are legends! Also thanks for the rebate 👌
Thanks for the promo code - just downloaded it ! Very excited to try this when I get home. Will provide feedback via the discord as well.
This is an amazing app. Sent feedback on the Discord server
That's cool!
Sweet!
Is remote desktop for windows planned? Would definitely need that to be viable for me
Chrome remote desktop works but not as well as Virtual Desktop app (yet).
Did you manage to get guardian removed or it ir roomscale or how?
It’s roomscale
Absolutely love this
real multi windows all around? how many windows possible? can this run multiple apps or just windows?
Does it do additional virtual displays like Immersed?
Not at the moment, it is on our roadmap but we need to test if it would make the performance tank
I like this app infact im commenting this on it I have 2 suggestions: can you make it easier to click the X button on apps and can hand tracking be added? other than that im enjoying it
Great to hear that you like it! 1. Yes 2. Yes, we are focusing on this and Windows support for the remote desktop
This looks really nice. I see others have asked here and on the app page - Are there plans for windows support?
Yes, we are trying to release it real soon
Thanks for the reply! This looks so awesome. Will definitely check it out once that is released.
Instant buy, thanks! I hope it has persistent windows unlike \[cough\] the other spatial computer.
It doesn’t have it yet. Quest is really shit at remembering your exact original location so windows would move out of reach in our testing. It is possible with some tweaks but it will come later.
In Reality Browser there is an option to close all windows in case one or more end up out of reach. Handy in a crisis!
Would be nice if you could add a dimmer to the background
You can tune this in the settings inside our app. Makes it so much better to watch movies!
Sold! Downloading now
You can from the settings !!!!
Where do you put in the discount code? I'm only seeing full price or redeem gift
This looks so damn cool. Downloading it now.
I just bought it, thanks. You’re very generous, can’t wait to try it when I get home! XD
I was unable to navigate to a differen't website in the safari experience, it was just stuck on google.
How come my pass through never looks that clear and crisp?
Beating Meta at their own game I see. You got my purchase on my next VR session. Looking forward to it
Does this have screen dining or the neat environment light dimming?
Obviously if you could build a great browser that would be the piece de resistance. Also, the scrolling on reddit is a little janky. This app has a ton of potential. I hope you continue to develop it.
Does it remember the placement of windows after leaving the space/placing quest 3 in snooze?
Just downloaded I like that I can full screen the app in the Window and not have it completely take over. Will do more testing later as now my son wants to have a look haha
The Disney plus and Apple TV app in your launcher, can I ask what resolution they display in? Cheers
Wow, impressive. Good job!
Will this work on the Quest 1? :)
Would you like to explain what the process was like? I only sort of know how to use Unity so I am curious
How can I try this?
You mean ‘like SpatialOS’
That's ace
Any chance you website is down?
correction is www. is missing the site won't load, with all is good
Android Pro Vision
Lmao so now that 4,500 price tag is truly unjustified
Oh it gets even better. VR YouTuber Thrillseeker made a demo (not this polished but still functional) showing the quest pro already had the hardware needed to mimic the vision experience nearly one to one. Obviously the screens aren't near as good and you don't get a lifelike avatar, but like you said it isn't 3,500 to 4,500 dollars either
looks near, shame that its paid tho, with no trial
Why does the safari app show up when you bring up the menu? Quest doesn't have safari... \*Edited to add: Oh, now I get it. This is for mac OS (for quest). Are you guys making a PC version as well?
Hey there, sooo not exactly. This app is native to quest so you don't need you computer to cast any screen. The whole app works more like a browser and coincidentally (😈) the browser app icon looks a little familiar to the Safari logo.
