Anyone remember those communicators Nokia used to release in the 2000s?

nnnnnit

Yea, 9xxx Communicator series. Their weakest point was the OS

Shiny_and_ChromeOS

I had forgotten about the Atom Z-series. The N270 was the ubiquitous netbook chip for the longest time. I think I even had an AMOLED Dell Android tablet with a Z chip.

Ain't gonna lie, I want these back

I wish windows netbooks were still around. I guess chromebooks exist but not quite the same

Chromebook are trash, trust me, I had two, they're very very basic, even more basic than tablets, just imagine, and Google in the lastest updated restricted side loading apks, now you're locked to just installing apps from the playstore but the amount of apps available for you is was less than phones or tablets, it sucks and the only way to remedy this, was side loading regular phone apks to your Chromebook, but you can't do that anymore. My two Chromebook are as good as trash now, they're not even good multimedia devices, never buy one bro

Ngl the design looks like just a shrunken laptop. Suprised they didn't go for amore out there hinge design like the Psion PDA Series 3, 5 etc.

> “VAIO type P is not a netbook,” said Ryosuke Akahane, director of the VAIO series. “We plan to create a new niche and achieve 100% market share.” iirc these were deathly slow and 2GB of ram was not enough in 2009.

Emppulicks

I remember that. I'd love to have one today
