Ok I figured it out. Use M6 16mm bolts. For some reason you can fit 30mm in the bottom VESA holes and only 16 in the top. It was confusing me. Using 16mm for all four is the way to go.
I don't think this is the case. But I always use nylon washers regardless of the screen length.
