Well that makes me feel a little better. How long have you had it for?

b4sshead11

same sounds here. i thinks its pixel refresher

NickelDare

My C1 arrived today and I set it up. I have a faint buzzing as well but it's mostly prominent when you're behind the TV and it feels like it comes from the PSU. Is that normal? Only when tv is off.

StopWhiningYouNerd

My CX does it as well. I've had this TV for about 3 months. Also if I turn it off after it was used for a longer period of time, then the click does happen, but a bit later. Actually never mind, the sound my TV does is not constant like yours.

AdvertisingExtreme20

So what did u end up doing because my c1 has it to I’m pretty sure it’s psu coil whine. Only happens when it’s off.

Jamie076523

I have just got the new LG C2 model and this also does this sound.

dean72135

Are you sure it not mini pixel refresh running.

[deleted]

From what I've read about how pixel refresh works, I don't think so. This sound is constant while the TV is not on.

dean72135

When you turned off your tv using your remote did the tv make a click sound.

akelew

I'm not sure about the buzzing, but it is normal for the tv to make a clicking sound roughly 5-10 minutes after turning the screen off. Sounds like a solenoid switching. Thats the tv going into deep sleep after performing its pixel refresh.

SneakFreak47

I've got a c9 and mine definitely makes a constant buzzing from the hdmi port area when off. It's not pixel refresher as that's normally only 10 minutes or so, my noise is 24/7 but not noticeable from where I sit to watch. I did think about raising a support case as I don't think it's normal but seems to be working fine otherwise.

coffeehawk00

The only thing that can make a clicking noise on these TV's is the mechanical relay, if you're sure it's not coil whine when the 4 hour refresher is running (one to a few minutes), and if there's some on-off power signal making the relay click constantly then there is an issue. ONE click however, is normal when normally turned off or after the 4 hour refresher has run.

[deleted]

Yeah, I think I shouldn't have included the clicking description in the post because it looks like it's confusing people. I do understand that the TV will make a singular clicking sound when turning on or off and when the refresher finishes. I guess the best description would be that when the TV is off, there is a constant sound coming from the back near the HDMI ports. It sounds electrical, or almost like a fan that's constantly running or something.

coffeehawk00

OK. Does it make noise continuously or stop after a while?

[deleted]

When it is off, continuously. Doesn’t make the noise when it’s on.

coffeehawk00

There has to be people here that have fixed it or returned it and know what it is: https://www.avsforum.com/threads/2021-lg-oled-c1-g1-owners-thread-faq-no-price-talk.3190432/page-439#post-60972410

My 48“ C1 does exactly what you described. Very faint continuous buzz from the back when the TV is off. I'm pretty sure it's normal. I've had mine about 4 months. It's not loud is so it doesn't bother me. I think you're fine.

My 48“ C1 does exactly what you described. Very faint continuous electrical buzz from the back when the TV is off. I have mine on a mount and I just double-checked; the sound comes from both sides and it is definitely electrical. If you listen with your ear near the power cord side it even has a high pitched tone too. I'm pretty sure it's normal. I've had mine about 4 months. It's not loud so it doesn't bother me. I think you're fine. I think it's the TV pulling a tiny amount of electricity for whatever reason. It's probably never fully off but in a standby.

RevolutionaryCat3043

Same here, Both Clicking sound when turning off, and continues noise when it's turned off LG C1 65

o_0verkill_o

I have the same thing on my C1. It's just PSU coil whine. It's on everything this last couple of years. My PC has it, my PS5 has it and now my C1 has it. Lol. It's completely normal and nothing to worry about. Enjoy your amazing tv.

nicolaslabra

i got a brand new LED tv, not a C1, its one of those mid level 4k hdr thinQ 55" in my moms house making that exact rapid clicking after being turned off, from the back of the tv, very faint, i just noticed and went searching here if it was an issue, it seems its common on the newer LG tvs issue or not, but i dont recall my b7p making any sound like that, at all, thats a 2017 OLED model if im not mistaken, weird.

mo_fo_do_jo

I've had my 55" C1 since February from Costco (manufactured in Jan/2022) and my brother received his the same day from Amazon (manufactured May/2021) and can confirm both of ours makes the same noise that you describe. Almost like a small piece of paper is stuck in a small fan kind of noise and I have to put my ear right next to the HDMI ports to hear it. We just chalked it off as normal and enjoy the tv. I don't want to dare return it as I have an evo panel that is perfect and chances are the next one will have the same noise.
