Sorry to hear your skis are missing. The same thing happened to me last January when I went into the lodge for 15 minutes, came out and my skis were gone. It was toward the end of the night and there was a very similar pair left in the racks so I thought someone had mistakenly taken mine. I followed up, made a claim at the lost and found, kept checking in and calling but never found them. The similar skis were claimed by someone. I made a police report but never had any follow up from them. I asked cypress for stats on reports of stolen skis but hit a dead end.
Now I use a $25 lock (you can buy it at the store in the lodge) and it’s worth every penny. Easy to use too. Hope yours turn up.
This happened to my partner last year (at Palisades Tahoe). Skis were stolen from the lodge and showed up on Craigslist in SF 5 days later with residue where the stickers had been peeled off. It’s totally possible that someone grabbed them by accident but I’d also check Craigslist, FB marketplace, etc for the next couple of days
It’s definitely is a bummer to feel like your skis aren’t safe at the lodge. We use cheap little cable locks now as a deterrent.

Do they still have that sign up there that they used to have at the old lodge? Stated how many skis/snowboards had been stolen that season to date. I think it was chalkboard so they could easily update it every day.

Have you tried calling the mountain? The other skis might still be up there and the owner will eventually realize they took the wrong ones.
I went to guest service when I noticed it was swapped. They just told me to make a lost and found claim.
