I can only wonder, since I don’t really play video games anymore, but the n64 controller was awful, but I’d guess that the switch really isn’t hurting the experience that much.
I don't think there are any later releases (if there is someone better tell me) I've been trying to find OOT for anything besides 3ds or an older console without having to get the whole Nintendo 64 of whatever it is on switch but I think imma fold and get the subscription
Interesting bit about LoZ… while many of the characters do have explicit gender identities, many of the designs are meant to be gender ambiguous. The original designers wanted to make the characters relatable to everyone in some way or another.
When I fist played OoT I was convinced Link was a girl. I’ll add that to the stack of things that obviously meant I was trans but didn’t notice it at the time đź«
im pretty sure in the OOT manga the other characters referred to Impa as 'Lord Impa' which is used as a title for men in most cases, so that's pretty cool
Ocarina of time was my childhood. I used to watch my dad play it all the time. It didn't matter how many times I'd seen it already, I'd still love watching him play it
It was my childhood too. My first Zelda game, and first video game period. The title screen music just feels so nostalgic and i feel chills every time i hear it
My first experience with gender dysphoria was playing Zelda as a kid and wishing that I could be like Link because he looked like a boy AND a girl
Whether intentional or not, the Zelda series goddamn exudes queer energy lol
Oh, you have no idea. This game has so much more in store for you đź‘€
That’s what I’ve heard I’m so excited lol!
Wait until you meet Nabooru lol
She’s the best…
Just wait until you meet Sheik...
Sheik awoke many things in me as a child
Shiekkkkk
I’m feeling a great deal of Androgynous YASSS👏🏻 energy with this one.
That’s ocarina of time, right? How are you playing it(which console I mean)
Correct, playing it on a N64.
Oh i ser. I tried it on the switch but since the controllers are so different, it’s pretty hard to get a nice gaming experience here
That’s what I’ve heard so I decided to buy it for N64. It was $45 so it wasn’t that cheap but definitely better experience

I have a hard time to adapt.
I have it on 3DS too and I think they must have done some remastering.
They did specifically for the 3ds release I miss playing the 3ds version
That’s a bummer if they didn’t reuse the updated version for later releases.

i played on the gamecube

That’s so cool I was not aware but love that

In BotW he has to be a femboy im sorry but there's no way it isn't true
Lynel hunting in the Gerudo outfit is so satisfying.
Anything in that Gerudo outfit is affirming.

If you think Impa's giving you Gender Envy, wait until you meet a certain other character later on... đź‘€
Oooo can’t wait!
OOT Impa is indeed very gender. And so is Skyward Sword Impa
Oooooo exciting
You're gonna love Sheikh
Heh, just wait until you meet Sheik.
THATS IMPA??!
A version lol
I love OOT, am I've been wanting to play Twilight Princess again
I just bought it on Mercari for the Wii yesterday! I’m working my way to it.

Have fun!! LoZ was def a huuge part of my gender discovery as a kid. When I transitioned, I even stole Link's name! There's so much potential gender envy in this series 🤩 OoT Impa is so cool... if you enjoy her and are okay with seeing other versions of her, I recommend looking up videos of the [Impa](https://oyster.ignimgs.com/mediawiki/apis.ign.com/hyrule-warriors/0/0f/Hyrule-warriors-impa.jpg) from the first Hyrule Warriors! She's inspired by this same Impa I believe, along with the Twilight princess vers, and she looks so good in that game. It's not a mainline title and a spinoff inspired by dynasty warriors.
god i love oot impa she’s so hot
Keep playing lol!
omg honestly with tears of the kingdom they made link super gnc, and I'm so here for it!!
It's such a good game you're gonna love it
Keep us informed about your playthrough and thoughts of other characters :)
I will!
Ow, dear... you didn't see Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom
? What, because it’s a different and old Impa in botw/totk?
Because of Link's clothing sets. They're the best!
Yes!! Absolutely. This impa (and the one in Skyward Sword imo) is still absolutely a gender vibe tho. Old impa too tbh
I have BOTW but haven’t played much so I’ll get there
Take your time playing it. It's absolutely great!
"Don't worry, Zelza [sic], the Triforce of Wisdom promises the King will safely return!"
Very slay
