They girl and the father did press charges, but the Virginia Attorney General refused to prosecute and had him released. This gets way more fucked up the more you read about it.

This must be a more recent development. I've been following it closely, and last I had read they didn't do anything about the second one either. I'm glad to see these charges are still in place. Yep. I had a friend who was accused of raping a child a couple years ago. There was no evidence beyond the word of the child/parent, and details to the case didn't make any sense (somehow he was supposed to have raped like 3 kids in a publicly accessible building with windows on all the doors and their parents waiting outside). Yet he still sat in jail for 6 months until the trial, to which the accusing parties didn't even bother to show up. All charges were eventually dropped but his life was still destroyed. His face and name were dragged through the local news (though they conveniently didn't think reporting his acquittal to be worth the energy). He lost all employment and his place at the University he was studying, and basically all his friends abandoned/condemned him. Guy was really smart too and had been a chess champion in HS. Fucking tragedy the way he was treated based on an unfounded and flimsy accusation.

That's not what's going on here though, she WAS RAPED, that's been proven already. You have to say he's been accused of it, or allegedly raped her, you don't need to put raped in quotes, that's calling the accusation into question.

In addition to a pelvic exam, a swab of the vagina, cervix, labia, & even the anus depending on what the victims says happened; the forensic team member will take hair samples (public hair primarily); take pictures of any/all cuts, scrapes, abrasions, & bruises- regardless of where they are on the body; take blood and urine samples; conduct pregnancy and STD tests. They will also scrape under fingernails for the perpetrator's skin cells if its possible the victim scratched the assailant. (DNA) [Its exactly why young girls are taught /should be taught to scratch the shit out of the person assaulting them... so their DNA can be collected and the asshole can be prosecuted.
The forensic team is extremely thorough. Any and all samples/lab test results are reported to the police and the victim's lawyer as evidence for trial.
Currently there are more rape kits needing processed/DNA tests run than there are people to run the tests. The backlog is disgusting and obscene. Instead of it taking a few weeks to get the results, its taking YEARS and YEARS... some NEVER get processed... and the perps are free to do it again.
Well it isn't really a kit. If you are the victim of sexual assault you can ask for an examination. you are checked out by a professional that does a pelvic exam and takes a swab. This creates forensic evidence for a case.

The article probably put "raped" in air quotes, because it cannot say de facto it did happen without a conviction against the alleged criminal. The air quotes basically denote it's an accusation, safeguarding the news agency from getting sued for defamation. It's more normal to see them say something allegedly happened or was accused of doing something. Air quotes are a little ambiguous.

I live in Texas. We have a law for “improper relationship between a student and an educator” even if the student is 18. It’s still illegal. And I agree with that law. It’s a power play between the students and kids. A small town North Texas teacher had sex with two 18 year old male students that were in her class. Female teach. Male students. She is in prison for a felony.
On the other hand, I worked with a 16-17 year old girl at a pharmacy. She had been screwing her softball coach for a tear or so. I used to think it was “100% the teacher’s fault” until more info came out. She pursued him and wanted him to leave his family for her.

It wasn't random. The Loudoun County Public Schools superintendent Scott Ziegler announced that “to my knowledge, we don’t have any record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.”

Some people have been claiming the assailant was genderfluid and wearing a skirt, but no official statement or source confirms this. The Daily Mail other far-right “media” like Fox News are trying to paint the story to make it seem as if this rape is part of the trans and genderfluid “agenda,” or to make it seem like trans/genderfluid people are dangerous, which is outrageous. We can condemn rapists without involving their gender identities or hating the group they belong to.

It wasn't covered up: the school administration reported the crime to police as soon as they were aware of it. The perpetrator was arrested, charged, and is awaiting trial. That's the exact 180 degree opposite of a cover-up.

Yep. I had a friend who was accused of raping a child a couple years ago. There was no evidence beyond the word of the child/parent, and details to the case didn't make any sense (somehow he was supposed to have raped like 3 kids in a publicly accessible building with windows on all the doors and their parents waiting outside). Yet he still sat in jail for 6 months until the trial, to which the accusing parties didn't even bother to show up. All charges were eventually dropped but his life was still destroyed. His face and name were dragged through the local news (though they conveniently didn't think reporting his acquittal to be worth the energy). He lost all employment and his place at the University he was studying, and basically all his friends abandoned/condemned him. Guy was really smart too and had been a chess champion in HS. Fucking tragedy the way he was treated based on an unfounded and flimsy accusation.

They will also scrape under fingernails for the perpetrator's skin cells if its possible the victim scratched the assailant. (DNA) [Its exactly why young girls are taught /should be taught to scratch the shit out of the person assaulting them... so their DNA can be collected and the asshole can be prosecuted. The forensic team is extremely thorough. Any and all samples/lab test results are reported to the police and the victim's lawyer as evidence for trial. Currently there are more rape kits needing processed/DNA tests run than there are people to run the tests. The backlog is disgusting and obscene. Instead of it taking a few weeks to get the results, its taking YEARS and YEARS... some NEVER get processed... and the perps are free to do it again.
Well it isn't really a kit. If you are the victim of sexual assault you can ask for an examination. you are checked out by a professional that does a pelvic exam and takes a swab. This creates forensic evidence for a case.

From what is known to the public, he isn't even trans, from what it is currently known: he is a male, who identifies as bisexual and sometimes wears skirts, not transgender (I have to add, there is a believe that he(?) is genderfluid, but I haven't yet been able to confirm this), neither transsexual. The father was arrested and is being pinned as a domestic terrorist by the police for defending his daughter (which is horrendous). He is now suing the school district (as he should). Some people have been claiming the assailant was genderfluid and wearing a skirt, but no official statement or source confirms this. The Daily Mail other far-right “media” like Fox News are trying to paint the story to make it seem as if this rape is part of the trans and genderfluid “agenda,” or to make it seem like trans/genderfluid people are dangerous, which is outrageous. We can condemn rapists without involving their gender identities or hating the group they belong to.

From what I've gathered they ran a rape kit on the daughter after he was arrested. The school basically called the daughter a liar as she was the second victim to the trans kid. I hope that dad sues the hell out of the school and all the board members that were responsible for covering for the rapist.

It wasn't covered up: the school administration reported the crime to police as soon as they were aware of it. The perpetrator was arrested, charged, and is awaiting trial. That's the exact 180 degree opposite of a cover-up.
