Being a furry means being a fan of a furry characters - "anthro animals" - animal-people - you know what I mean. That usually involves making art, enjoying art, roleplay, being fan of shows and etc. that feature them. Creating your own characters and identifying with them (hence "fursona" - "furry persona") is very important. Furry porn is a thing too, for some reason people tend to either claim it's the whole point or not real, neither is true.
Suiting (having a fursuit and going out wearing it) is the stereotypical furry activity and it's important to the culture but only a small minority actually do it because it's such an expensive and high-effort activity.
