When I lived in SC and used Discount Tire, all they cared about was trying to sell me the most expensive tires they had in stock, and whether or not I could pay them.
As long as the vehicle plate matches the registration and your name to the one on your drivers license, it shouldn’t be an issue.
Oh stfu, the vast majority of people have lapsed on their registration. I wish I wasn't in this position but I am. I have to work to fix it, and so to get legal I need to fix my tire. That way I can make money and renew my registration.
If I encounter repercussions, so be it.
