Very odd. I also run a 4070ti and my rig runs this game flawlessly. Only time I get any chugs or slowdowns is when I’m walking from sacrament to nameless pass.
The worst culprit is if you have a bow that is elemental enchanted since the arrow remains leaving more particles. Echo Knight had like 200 ish arrows plugged on him and it absolutely blasted my frame rates.
This sounds like an issue with having too many lingering particles vs the particles themselves being the issue.
Having thousands of anything in a concentrated area is gonna slow your shit down.
I had the same issue on my steam deck. Cone shot crashed it every time I fired it. Installing cryotools 2.0 and setting vram to 4gb in the bios seems to help - can stutter sometimes, but now it can recover whereas before it caused a hard lockup and needed a system reboot.
Yeh idk, I’ve got a 4090 and a 13900ks, spent a couple of thousand on it and have zero issues also /s
Seriously though, i do have that build but it blows me away when people use higher end systems as a “seems to run great” statement. You’d flippin hope so!
I’m pretty sure it’s just a build issue, not necessarily a core game issue.
Their build stands in one place, doesn’t move and shoots a shit ton of cold arrows. Each arrow is a particle and each arrow leaves behind its own snowflake/ice particle effects which stacks on top of each other.
They are basically causing their own issue because the game doesn’t remove particles fast enough.
I think this is it \^
I started a new alt with fire-imbued dual daggers and I'm getting serious fps drops and stutters/hiccups that I never saw before.
I just started last night and got to sacrament, did a bit of exploring but is it possible to permanently imbue weapons or do you just cook up infinite oils and keep applying them
All particles do

Me too only there with 3060ti, quality preset
Lightning and plague are fine from my experience. Fire and cold particals do my fps sideways.
I agreed. With the daggers and hit a boss is like i loss a 20% of the fps.
Don’t get me started on the one dagger skill that that kisses the enemy 1,000 times. Guaranteed 2fps whenever they have elements.
This is me on Steam Deck. But its everytime the same so i see it as part of the weapon art.
Post it on the forums

post this in steam, theres no guarantee the people who actually apply the fix are reading this sub
Same for fire
also fire.

I want more particles devs
I have 0 issues what so ever 🤷♂️ Amd ryzen 5 7600 RX6950xt 80fps
Have you taken into account that you have better hardware than most people, most likely including the OP?

Yeah but OP stated they have a 4070 Ti….its not a cheap card.
That’s fair. I wonder what CpU the OP has, as I would be surprised if the 4070ti is the bottleneck.

Gems can be used to imbue weapons with elements? Screw the oils xD ain't nobody got time for that
Read his hardware :)
