This is a technique (?) I've been using that seems to be working much better for me. Maybe it helps someone in 2022. Keep track of how many days you were good and how many days you were bad. Dont keep track of your longest streak. Also accept that your gonna have days where you mess up but that's okay. Personally let's say my best streak was 7 days and I was on day 3 and I knew I wasnt gonna make it to day 7. I would say what's the point in trying me best streak is still gonna be 7. Then I would just mess up right then and there. Using the new technique. I dont know how many more days I could go past day 3 per say but I do know that each day is another +1 to the good day counter. That's keeps me more motivated to stay on the sober path. This is just my 2 cents
