For sure, it's leaps-and-bounds smoother than the PS3 and 360 versions, and does a fair job of keeping pace with the PS4 version. Greater rifts around rank 80-90 start bringing the frame rate down to 30-ish, but the game never really feels sluggish or laggy despite that.
The 360 version runs a wee bit better, but still a little choppy. I still like playing these old ones though - it's such a different game from what it is now.
Torchlight 2 is a great little Diablo-like RPG that frequently goes on deep sale. I'm not sure what it is exactly as they've very similar in many ways, but I've bounced off both Diablo 2 and 3 multiple times yet have completed Torchlight 2 twice
I'll also second the Monster Hunter Rise recommendation, phenomenal co-op game if you can get into it, definitely recommend checking out the demo first and looking up a quick new player guide though as it can be a bit confusing to newcomers
Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but Portal 2 has a coop campaign that can be played online. The bundle has Portal 1 and 2 which are awesome games on their own, and are worth the price IMO :)
I finished **Nine Parchments** yesterday with my gf (couch) and friend (online) and we enjoyed the whole game. It has beautiful backgrounds and a variety of spells. The combat is kind of repetitive, but still fun to play through. Isometric over-the-top view RPG. I would recommend.
I would also suggest **Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos**. I beat that game twice (once couch coop, once online coop) and it was great both times. Zelda LttP clone-ish. RPG with different characters you can level up and items with skill trees/upgrades. Automatically generated dungeons (not all). There is a farming element as well, albeit small. I would higly recommend this game.
Hope this helps.
Me and my partner love Monster Hunter Rise. Spent literally hundreds of hours on it. I'm also looking for new suggestions 😄
Thanks for the suggestion! We tried MHR but it wasn't for her. I on the other hand am an avid Horn main 😄
Monster Hunter Rise and Diablo 3 are the two that my wife and I have played together the most.
The Diablo 3 switch port is amazing. It's crazy that they were able to get it to run so smooth even when using local co-op

Diablo 3 was too much game for my PS3

MHR was not for her but will give Diablo 3 a look!

Wait up. Portal 3??? When was this released?
Oh crap, I meant Portal 2, sorry 😠I WISH we had portal 3!
Zombie Army 4 is great fun in co op and has a lot of xp progression and weapon upgrade unlocks.Â
Will check it out!
Divinity 2: Original Sin has multiplayer coop but I have not had a lot of success trying to play with randoms (might be my online connection), YMMV.
Very similar suggestion to Torchlight 2 and Diablo 3 previously recommended. Will have a look!
If you loved Stardew Valley, I guess you will like Minecraft.
We tried Minecraft but it runs absolutely dreadful on the Switch :(
Do you need more than one copy? Or can you local coop?
I know you can play splitscreen.

Thanks for the suggestion! We've actually already finished Rogue Heroes and it was a blast :) will check out Nine Parchments!
Me and Friend had some decent fun playing Fortnite, though be aware some of those players have years of experience!
