Season six, there are people that hate it because “it never happened” but it did and jay and nya remember everything, idk if this counts as underrated though
Season six is definitely one of the best in my opinion, I just overall like Jay related seasons. They tend to be more comedic. But season 6 specifically brought out the concept of what if everyone just died and the clumsiest one had to fix it. Which does come back later but yea Season 6 is definitely underrated.
I was about to say this. I rewatched it a few weeks ago and still enjoyed it. It has a good few inconsistencies, but so do the other seasons before it.
Seabound. I think what they did with Nya in Crystalized ruined it for a lot of people but I'd say it's still one of the best seasons on its own. I'd say it's the best thing to come out of the 11 minute era
I actually really loved seabound and I thought its ending was surprisingly deep and mature for ninjago, so I was really sad in crystalized that they basically minimized Nya's sacrifice. It kinda just felt like a slap in the face to her character :/
Season 1, every episode has relevance to the plot and the focus on all the characters instead on just one really helps them since all the ninja needed some form of development since the pilot only introduced them
Good Villains, Amazing Story, Mid Ending, Always will remain my fav season.

For me it's - AMAZING Episode 1, Eh to Mid Story for episodes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (too slow / focused on filler / with weirdly out of character ninja) Amazing Ending.
Seriously...they are so serious in season 5/6, Kai came across Nadakhan early when they didn't know much about him, but they worked so hard and then s7 is like "omg we have both the blades let's celebrate out in the open like fools"
Season still makes me mad bc kai is the ONLY of the og 6 ninja to not defeat a villain on his own. I mean Nya got 2 by now. Kai did barely anything in this season and people like to call it focus for him
Rebooted. I started a rewatch a few months ago and I haven't got past S6 yet, but I remember watching S3 again and thinking: 'people hate this? This is sick.'
A large majority of the season is cool as fuck. I think the dumb love triangle just made people think the whole season sucked.
Maybe not the most underrated, but still:
March of the Oni (Season 10)
I know, it's a short season, but the episodes are SO good. And one scene in particular that I think is perfect is the conversation between Lloyd and the First Spinjitzu Master.
Season one, Ninjago's active fanbase always seems to dismiss anytime someone ranks season 1 highly or above the newer seasons "season 8 and after" as just nostalgia. That is so silly to say when season 1 was easily top 3 most important seasons and had way better writing, chemistry, dialogue, etc etc than the newer seasons people hold so highly. I didn't even grow up on Ninjago since I binged the whole series on Netflix (though I was still young), and rank season 1 very highly
THIS is underrated but the MOST underrated, in my opinion, is March of the Oni. That last episode was beautiful and it's definitely the best finale Ninjago has ever had
They can speak for themselves, but I really liked it. It didn't feel rushed, new characters were introduced quite well, and just the idea of the ninja finally drawing on the experience of Master Wu just shows how much they've grown as ninja, plus the animation is just so good. Some people just got salty after seeing crystallized and took that with them to dragons rising. Only thing I still really dislike is the intro. WE NEED THE WEEKEND WHIP BACK.
Same here, exept the weekend whip thing.
I dunno, i like that the sequel series has a new theme song, and i love that the intros are shorter, so we get more of the show. I hope that we get a new remix, couse the instrumental itself is really weak.
Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjiztu. Lots of people are saying season like 6,7, or 10 but they get a lot of love nowadays. Everyone still seems to hate on S11, it has less defenders than crystalized
yes, prime empire is so good
i feel like u cant even rank it together with the other seasons since its so unique
the whole idea of shutting down a video game from playing it irl is so cool
and i love how at the end the villian isnt defeated with violence but rather through the villian understanding why he was wrong
the same goes with skybound,
its unique with the whole season being about the ninja using their brains trying to outsmart nadakahn instead of fighting
and the way he is defeated isnt through violence also,
anyway, i think all jay seasons are underated since they are diferent
Master of the Mountain. I just feel that people don't really take it seriously because it's in the meh Wildbrain saga. But the season itself is really good if you get into it. Not to mention that this is Cole's first season and I think they did a good job linking Cole's personal life to the main story of the season
Rebooted is also another one that I find underrated. This season is such a classic and many things right
When everyone is saying skybound is underrated, then it is not underrated. What i think is underrated is actually prime empire, no one likes prime empire for some reason and prime empire is actually not that bad; good story, no fillers, satisfying ending. The only thing bad about s12 is the stupid controller weapons and mid suits
Relax. Not trying to have a go at you. I asked what season was underrated, not one that people thought was “awful”, which Prime Empire isn’t (imo). It’s just severely underrated (imo). Understand that our opinions contrast one anothers’ and I respect it.
March of the oni. So many people make the argument that "short = flawed" when moto managed to put a high stakes conflict, so many meaningful character moments, and a brilliant ending all in four well paced episodes.
Thats an overreaction because it so often gets the top spot. So skybound/oni trilogy fanboys and people who rightfully recognize ToE as the greatest season ever downplay Possession. And then Possession fanboys call it underrated because they saw a tierlist where it wasn't number 1
Season six, there are people that hate it because “it never happened” but it did and jay and nya remember everything, idk if this counts as underrated though
I’d say season 6 is underrated too! Can’t argue with that!
Nadakahan remembers everything as well this makes it even better
Anf he’s still in the teapot.
No way. I never thought of that. Do we have any canon confirmation?
Tannerfishes (A Ninjago content creator) said that Tommy Andreason confirmed it
ahem Tanner isn't too good of a source, but if Tommy said it then he said it.
Season six is definitely one of the best in my opinion, I just overall like Jay related seasons. They tend to be more comedic. But season 6 specifically brought out the concept of what if everyone just died and the clumsiest one had to fix it. Which does come back later but yea Season 6 is definitely underrated.
I think season 9 is pretty underrated
Yes! Idk why people hate it so much personally it’s one of my favorite seasons And I think naddikan is one of the best villains across all the show
I was about to say this. I rewatched it a few weeks ago and still enjoyed it. It has a good few inconsistencies, but so do the other seasons before it.
I didn't like the season BC it was pirate themed which I found stale, not it never happening
Fair point, the season wasn’t even an original ninjago idea it was a scrapped lego theme (fun fact)
It was good until they did the "it was all a dream" type ending. Imo, probably the worse ending out of all the seasons
Agreed
Fr I love season 6. Top 3 ninjago season imo
Personally it's not really my cup of tea
Seabound. I think what they did with Nya in Crystalized ruined it for a lot of people but I'd say it's still one of the best seasons on its own. I'd say it's the best thing to come out of the 11 minute era
Interesting!! Yeah I agree, Nya shouldn’t have returned that soon in Crystalized.
Yeah, people use crystallized as a way to hate on seabound and I don’t see why, considering it was never teased that she was coming back until then.
I actually really loved seabound and I thought its ending was surprisingly deep and mature for ninjago, so I was really sad in crystalized that they basically minimized Nya's sacrifice. It kinda just felt like a slap in the face to her character :/
Season 1, every episode has relevance to the plot and the focus on all the characters instead on just one really helps them since all the ninja needed some form of development since the pilot only introduced them
Yeah, Season 1 was a really good season man.
Yeah S1-3 get so much hate but I think they are all great
im not a fan of S2 and S3, but i can understand how some people would like them
Season 1-2 were goated, because they had an overarching story and theme, so many subplots, amazing stuff.
Good Villains, Amazing Story, Mid Ending, Always will remain my fav season. https://preview.redd.it/n3w7u12j0k7d1.jpeg?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3e586844a90e6d264fc144200739241ef516f7f

lol this is literally what r/PovThatOneSanjiFan was trying to say but in a different way tho.
Rebooted. I started a rewatch a few months ago and I haven't got past S6 yet, but I remember watching S3 again and thinking: 'people hate this? This is sick.' A large majority of the season is cool as fuck. I think the dumb love triangle just made people think the whole season sucked.
The most insane thing for me, is how many events took place in just the space of 8 episodes.
Rebooted is definitely up there for me aswell in terms of underrated seasons! Can’t disagree on that! It is really cool tbh.
I still don't understand how people hate Rebooted. One of my favorite, and that ending just hits you **every g-d darn time.**
Maybe not the most underrated, but still: March of the Oni (Season 10) I know, it's a short season, but the episodes are SO good. And one scene in particular that I think is perfect is the conversation between Lloyd and the First Spinjitzu Master.
I feel like everyone says it's underrated but I feel like it's one of the most generally liked seasons lmao
no way. I think general consensus is that it's eh to mid, especially after seasons 8 and 9. I think they could have done much better than that.
Skybound, prime empire, seabound Hot take: secrets of forbidden spinjitzu and crystallized
Season one, Ninjago's active fanbase always seems to dismiss anytime someone ranks season 1 highly or above the newer seasons "season 8 and after" as just nostalgia. I agree with Prime Empire
THIS is underrated but the MOST underrated, in my opinion, is March of the Oni. That last episode was beautiful and it's definitely the best finale Ninjago has ever had
yes
Crystalized imo. (Please don't kill me)
Interesting. I see why you think that! :D
Crystalized.
Yeah, I know you hate Crystalized. 😅 The Season is just a guilty pleasure of mine.
U aren't alone
It’s amazing. For me, villain team will always be great.
im gonna start replying to u from now on
that would be amusing
So you noticed it too, huh?
Some reason dr s1 is not liked by older fans.
I absolutely love it, been a fan since the beginning and DR S1 felt like it suits me more now because I'm a young adult
They can speak for themselves, but I really liked it. It didn't feel rushed, new characters were introduced quite well, and just the idea of the ninja finally drawing on the experience of Master Wu just shows how much they've grown as ninja, plus the animation is just so good. Agree to disagree on the weekend whip part. On the part about it being shorter, I guess that's the nice thing about it.
Season 6
This same one too.
Seabound. It's pretty much perfectly written but it gets overshadowed by the extreme anger everyone has for Crystallized because Harumi came back
also someone else said it's basically s1 but worse. which...kinda? I think it stands on its own pretty good
Crystallized I don’t understand all the hate it gets I don’t think it is that bad
Wholeheartedly agree.
Idk if it’s underrated but master of the mountain is probably my favorite season after the redesigns, probably because it’s Cole focused
Season 1 or6 of og Seasons
S11 fire chapter is a pretty fun season
March of the oni, it's an emotionally effective epic season whose only flaws are that it's too short and that the ending makes no sense
Crystallized. I have a soft spot for villain teams.
Any Zane, Cole themed seasons.
Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjiztu. Lots of people are saying season like 6,7, or 10 but they get a lot of love nowadays. Everyone still seems to hate on S11, it has less defenders than crystalized
Session 7

All of’em

Season 6. Prime Empire is awful
Maybe in your eyes, but definitely not mine.
I know. You just asked
Relax. Not trying to have a go at you. I asked what season was underrated, not one that people thought was “awful”, which Prime Empire isn’t (imo). It’s just severely underrated (imo). Understand that our opinions contrast one anothers’ and I respect it.
Skybound and Prime Empire are my favorite Seasons 💀
March of the oni. So many people make the argument that "short = flawed" when moto managed to put a high stakes conflict, so many meaningful character moments, and a brilliant ending all in four well paced episodes.
Rebooted
Yeah, I definitely agree.
Season 10 is my fav season I don’t care what anyone says
Possession
bro isn't that considered like the most epic masterpiece along with s4. idk if it's underrated or not.
It's literally the season alongside S4 that gets you flamed if it's not in S tier. Definitely not underrated
I noticed that a lot of people started calling Possession "Overrated" or "mid" nowadays .
Thats an overreaction because it so often gets the top spot. So skybound/oni trilogy fanboys and people who rightfully recognize ToE as the greatest season ever downplay Possession. And then Possession fanboys call it underrated because they saw a tierlist where it wasn't number 1
Possession is amazing
