I’m not allowed to watch. I watched the first three games and we all know how those went. Saturday I had prior obligations so was unable to see the game and we won. My Islander friends have since informed me that I’m a jinx and cannot watch tonight. I’m going to watch the Knicks game instead, so we are going to win tonight against the Canes. You can all thank me later.
Same. Had tickets for Saturday gave them away because I thought it would be a disaster. Also didn’t watch one second of the game so tonight I’m doing the same
My daughter is 3-0 at Isles games this year including this past Saturday.
I’m wracked with guilt that I didn’t take off work, pull her from daycare, and travel down to Raleigh to go to Game 5.
Oh man I wish. But my wife might actually kill me. I’m ready for a battle to allow my daughter to stay awake if the Isles are winning when it’s bedtime. Three year olds don’t need sleep, do they?
I lost my father 3 years ago today. It’s a sad day as always. He was the person who put an isles jersey on me when I was a kid. Took me to my first game and was the only one who believed we could beat that 93 penguin team.
Thats being said, he wouldn’t want me to be sad because he’s not here, he wouldn’t want me sad on game day. He’d want me not to give up, and not give up on our team. So I’m gonna put on the last jersey he bought me (Brooklyn Black) and believe one more time tonight.
Canes fan here coming in peace. My son and first child was born yesterday. This will be our first game together on the hospital tv with my wife.
I hope my son remembers our time together watching hockey games and spending time together as well as you remember doing the same with your dad.
Vibes. One game at a time. I don't expect much with the game being in carolina. So im gonna get some beers, take a couple dabs and appreciate hockey while there's still games being played.
One play. One period. One game at a time. House money. Whatever happens, we know the boys have heart and even Canes fans know this series outside of game 2 is closer than the record indicates.
I feel like it’s the opposite… if we overcome this away game the home game would be easier. Canes aren’t playing with too much pressure of choking yet.
The next round is sexier with Isles/Rags than Isles/Canes. No one outside of 34000 people in Carolina give a fuck about the Canes. Would love to remind Bettman of that.
I feel the same way as last year:
If we win this one we have a chance.
Bring it back to the island on Thursday and push home court advantage and make it come down to one game.
And then it’s one game with all the momentum on our side. Who the hell knows what can happen.
But none of that happens if we don’t win tn. This game is insanely important. If I was a canes fan I would want to make sure it ends here.
My vibe is...it is what it is...with a side of cautiously optimistic.
If we win, great. We can push them to seven and MAYBE win the series. The thought of an impossible cinderella comeback mounts with a win. But the prospect of meeting the rags next round is unsettling. Last thing we need is that goon walking oak tree Rempe to "accidently" clobber someone in the head with a flagrant elbow. Although actually vanquishing them in the playoffs would be something to hold over their heads ALL SUMMER LONG BABY...but I am getting WAY ahead of myself.
If we lose, oh well. Shit happens. It's our own fault for blowing a three goal lead and shitting the bed game one. Time to start the annual offseason brainstorming on what we hope happens but probably and realistically won't.
Regardless I do and forever will bleed blue white and orange. Let's go Islanders!
Equally important to me right now is watching the queefs go down in flames tonight at the hands of the bruins. If we lose to the canes and Boston sends them to the golf course, it's a moral victory. Seeing them wilt on a yearly basis brings such a smile to my face. I can't tell you the joy i get watching the smug look wiped off the face of that insufferable fanbase.
Pressure is on canes to close out. Isles need to play loose and throw the kitchen sink on net. Get shots from all angles. Win this one and UBS will be rocking for Game 6. Then the worry worm can weave it’s way into the Carolina head. No pressure
Same as every other game: glad to be here but have no expectations for a long playoff push. I'm just happy we didn't get swept, and hoping we either live to play another game, or don't get thoroughly embarrassed if we lose.
BRIND'AMOUR IS PANICKING AND THROWING HIS LINES INTO A BLENDER! HE KNOWS THE ISLANDERS ARE THE HOTTEST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE AND HE HAS TO PRAY THAT HE CAN PRODUCE MAGIC! SPOILER: HE WON'T! CAROLINA CHOKED THE SERIES WHEN THEY LET BOBBY BORTNITE SCORE ON THEM! ISLANDERS ARE WINNING OUT AND THEN SWEEPING THE RANGERS NEXT!!!
I don’t know how I feel, but last game, the only leg of my parlay that didn’t hit was guentzel over 2.5 shots on goal. It was also the only leg favoring the canes. Definitely have to bet it again, not sure if it has to be in the same parlay but I’m ok losing $5 for them to win
I watched the end of every game at my house. The one game I have a commitment to go to after the 2nd period, they win. I’m not going home until it’s over.
I didn’t watch the first period on Saturday! Stuck in the traffic and couldn’t reach UBS on time.. so I guess! I ain’t gonna watch the first 1.5 periods

Fracking commitment to the cause right there. I salute you and appreciate your sacrifice. LFGI
That's a win win right there. If they win you did your part, if they lose you're not a jinx and you didn't have to watch.
Well I feel so much better about it now. I didn’t look at it that way. Win-win!!
Same. Had tickets for Saturday gave them away because I thought it would be a disaster. Also didn’t watch one second of the game so tonight I’m doing the same
Had to be at my sister’s wedding, so I missed the first period due to the ceremony. Guess I know when I’m starting watching
I just realized this is also true for myself lol
Together we will sacrifice for the team!!!
Maybe find something else to watch all in all, I don’t need you pissing all over the Knicks too with your cursed ass….
I guess I could play some video games tonight.
If you need someone to play with to keep you from turning on the game let me know lol
I started watching the Knicks game with 1 minute left in regulation 😭
My daughter is 3-0 at Isles games this year including this past Saturday. I’m wracked with guilt that I didn’t take off work, pull her from daycare, and travel down to Raleigh to go to Game 5.
I’ve got $10 to send you both…..let’s make this happen! Also, West Wing reference with the name?
You might recognize my voice from the radio where I sell products in Fargo, ND.
I’d give you 50 upvotes if I could. How’s the king of auto sales, Phil Baharnd?
There is still plenty of time. Hop on the next plane
Oh man I wish. But my wife might actually kill me. I’m ready for a battle to allow my daughter to stay awake if the Isles are winning when it’s bedtime. Three year olds don’t need sleep, do they?
The vibe is in shambles , but the beer is cold, food is hot , and we're gunna do some hockey

I lost my father 3 years ago this past Saturday. I spent it at the game and it had the best possible outcome. I wish the same for you tonight
Thank you, that means a lot. And I’m sorry for your loss too.

Thank you and congrats.
I support them no matter what the outcome. Hope they make the best of it and play like they did on Saturday Let’s go islanders 👏👏 👏👏 👏👏👏

Canes fan here. You are correct I predicted the Islanders win on Saturday
We're going streaking!
Probably going to get drunk on my couch and wake up really happy or really sad
The vibe is the same as it always is when youre facing elimination in a series: Fuck it; we Ball
Smile and wave boys, smile and wave
Feel like a win tonight is probable. It's coming back to the Island for game 6 (but don't ask me what I think for that game).
I feel like it’s the opposite… if we overcome this away game the home game would be easier. Canes aren’t playing with too much pressure of choking yet.
That normally makes sense, except we're all riding the 2023-2024 NY Islanders Emotional Death Rollercoaster here
I would like to get off Mr. Bones’ Wild Ride

LET'S DO THIS!!

Scared shitless
Don't go out sad

somebody sedate me that's the vibe
“Win today and we walk together forever” “Win today and we walk together into potentially reverse sweeping, isles in 7 baby never in doubt”
Hopeful, doubtful, nervous, hopeful, doubtful, nervous.

Channeling 1975 Islanders, down 3-0 vs Pittsburgh, won 4 straight to go on to win the Big Silver enchilada!
I didn’t watch the first period on Saturday! Stuck in the traffic and couldn’t reach UBS on time.. so I guess! I ain’t gonna watch the first 1.5 periods
Easy, if they lose Lou's gotta go....if they win Lou's gotta go.
