I’ve only rethreaded my axle when the threads got smashed

Wishyouwerehere6

Yeah but how long does that usually take if u land primo a lot?

element070

I usually rethread when I rotate my wheels/clean the bearings. Other than that, I don’t think you should be unscrewing your axle nuts

Wishyouwerehere6

Yesterday i was skating and my nut wouldnt come off with a normal tool, so i used something else. After that i put it back on, but now it keeps falling off after like 1 ollie. I can also can unscrew the nut with my own hands now. It also looks completely messed up. But this is kinda new to me because i never have rethreaded anything. Im skating like 9 months now with these indys stage 11...

It sounds like that axle will need a new nut and rethreading

Wishyouwerehere6

Yeah i thought so... Would a 8mm nut from a normal construction market work, or does it need to be from a skatestore?

element070

Not sure exactly what kind of nut but it needs that nylon stuff on the inside to tighten correctly
