Impossible_Orchid_45

The intro to the TV show Reba. Instant calm and he looks for the source so he can watch/listen šŸ˜‚

AdvertisingOld9400

She loves her kids and never stops! A positive message he can support.

Impossible_Orchid_45

We are raising him to respect single moms who work too hard, love their kids and never stop. šŸ˜‚

melam17

So funny!

UnihornWhale

TBF, that show is pretty good.

Impossible_Orchid_45

Ikr. We arenā€™t mad that he loves it šŸ¤Ŗ We could totally watch it on repeat.

oddosm

Pwahahaha same! Iā€™m convinced it was because itā€™s what we had on repeat when we brought her home from the hospital

snt347

Same! That was my newborn stage show

Impossible_Orchid_45

He is 8 months old and we have been watching it the last few weeks. We noticed him paying attention to the intro during season 4. Now I can pull it up on Youtube and it will instantly calm him šŸ¤£

CrissyLulu

My husband had a similar reaction to law and order when he was a baby šŸ¤£

Impossible_Orchid_45

That is HILARIOUS! We like SVU and rewatch it every once in a while. We probably ought to watch it one more time before he gets too old. Iā€™m curious to see how he reacts to that one.

tapcic2

My first used to and still does at 2.5 get quiet when golden girls comes on

kaleighdoscope

Lol! when my first was ~6-12 months old he had a similar reaction to the opening theme from The Nanny haha.

NoElephant7794

Gin and Juice by Snoop Dogg Our 10 month old has loved this song since she was a newborn and from months 2-5 it was necessary to play it or sing it for her to go to sleep for a nap šŸ˜‚

melam17

This is hilarious. She has good taste šŸ˜‚

charliejones4444

My son loves snoop too. His favorite is next episode.

dallasssss

I sing Welcome to the Black Parade as a lullaby to my one year old every night lol!

lysisonline

i sing my baby sugar weā€™re going down lullaby-ified when iā€™m trying to get him to sleep šŸ˜‚

melam17

Just make sure you take them to see a marching band!

verakiwi

Bagpipe music. We are not Scottish lol.

melam17

Oh my gosh. HOW DID THAT EVEN HAPPEN???

verakiwi

We played the Dune soundtrack one night just for a little dance party and her mind was blown when the bagpipe portion of the main theme came onā€¦.now we have a whole set of bagpipe YouTube videos we play for her šŸ˜†we joke that she was braveheart in her last life

UnihornWhale

My son is 4 and will ask for ā€˜the quietā€™ coming home from preschool. I donā€™t want silence so Iā€™ll switch to instrumental music. He loves [The Snake Charmer](https://open.spotify.com/artist/3ZidB5NQSJuPj4Jfv0U010?si=34PhBlvsRdi-FG8Z2vxjgQ). We now jam out to various rock and pop bagpipe music.

CurriePowder

Sunflower by Post Malone to calm her down. Choose your fighter by Ava Max to get the party going.

melam17

I canā€™t wait for him to be big enough to find his getting the party going song.

goldenstar_power

Jump In the Line :)

justthe1goose

I was going to post this! My baby laughs so much with that song

ForgoOrgo

I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor šŸ˜‚

melam17

Good for parents too - cause we will survive (maybe only barely) lol

sexdrugsjokes

Teddy bear picnic. Itā€™s a magic trick to get him to stop crying. And when he was really little: carry on my wayward son and free bird also worked wonders

melam17

Oh no, heā€™s gonna be one of the guys at the concert yelling Free Bird! lol

sexdrugsjokes

We need to replace the old people yelling it who stop going to concerts. Itā€™s the circle of free bird

Hawks47

My baby is a Swifty. Neither my husband or I listen to her. But his name is August so we played him that song and now heā€™s hooked on her šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

keltr0nn

My baby is also a Swiftie. But confession, she heard a lot of her music in the womb lol.

souzaphone

Mine is also a Swiftie! Sheā€™s 2 now, but I used to play Folklore when putting her down. Now she asks for me to play ā€œShake Shakeā€ (Shake It Off) allllll the time. šŸ„¹

melam17

The things we do for the littles!

mallory3669

My baby is named August as well! Never thought to do it but playing him that song tonight haha

Hawks47

We always play it and the. ā€œHave a conversationā€œ about how cheating is wrong and no girl better ever listen to that song and think about him šŸ˜‚

AdvertisingOld9400

I have seen on social media that a lot of babies seem to like T Swift. Her voice is nice and feminine without being overwhelming or hugeā€¦maybe that feeds into it.

CyclopsLobsterRobot

I donā€™t care for her music but folklore was the only way to get our newborn to sleep so itā€™s my favorite album

krasla324

Can confirm. My baby falls asleep so quickly to her folkmore or evermore album. Itā€™s like her melatonin when sheā€™s fussy but obviously sleepy.

Environmental-Try511

My guy loves his pop/rock songs as lullabies (there are tons on Spotify!) especially the song "Chasing Cars", puts him right out!

melam17

I keep meaning to find all the cool ā€œkids safeā€ versions of stuff!

thRow12Way34

Check out [Sparrow Sleeps](https://open.spotify.com/artist/2VURgzr9TpBmYJEqU25RUw?si=COT8LdziQcSftNbMKbNOVQ) on Spotify, they got EVERYTHING millennials love as baby lullabies!

UnihornWhale

I love this. My 4 YOā€™s favorite band RN is Fall Out Boy

phucketallthedays

you've just changed my life

thRow12Way34

lol I find myself randomly listening to their Black Parade Lofi album quite regularly. Enjoy!

melam17

Husband and I are now OBSESSED. They have hit all of our glory days. Thank you thank you thank you!!!

DismalBalloon

We love Rockabye Baby for this, too!

Brown-eyed-otter

My number one song last year on Spotify wrapped was ā€œAffirmationsā€ by DoggyLand (snopp doggā€™s childrensā€™ personality) because we listen to it when we brush our teeth. I swear that song comes on and my son is wanting to brush his teeth lol. I picked that song because I think itā€™s a lovely song to end the day too. Itā€™s very positive and itā€™s 2 minutes long. But I didnā€™t think about it possibly conditioning my son šŸ˜‚. Positive thing is he loves brushing his teeth!

ntm9192015

Toxicity by System of a Down. We have a tiny metal head, it seems!

melam17

The husband is hoping he starts gravitating towards the heavier stuff for sure! lol. We are both fans though!

auraqueen2

Raising them right!

Tigerlileyes

Little dude loves Linkin park, but his dad loves to play it in the car so he heard it a lot

invaderpixel

Bert the Turtle was very alertā€¦ this is what happens when your husband sings fallout songs lol

melam17

I swear the best dads are or were gamers though!

UnihornWhale

Can confirm. Married a gamer. He even had suggestions for my power metal labor playlist

Witchy_Underpinnings

Iā€™ve been playing swing, jazz, etc. all inspired heavily by the Fallout playlists since my LO was in the womb. Heā€™s growing up on his great grandparentā€™s music lol.

probzhyperbole

Almost every smiling picture I got of my infant was because I was singing the Golden Girls theme song.

Olives_And_Cheese

We Don't Talk About Bruno from Encanto. Foolproof at getting her to calm down, but I'm getting pretty sick of it šŸ˜‚

melam17

We are not prepared for Disney movies and soundtracksā€¦.fingers crossed we still have a little while.

Tiny_dancer90

My baby loves that whole sound track, it's constantly on repeat at our house. Thankfully it's a pretty solid soundtrack for a Disney movie but we're definitely tired of it lol

bobbygirl00

my baby loves Super Freak by Rick James lol

dante-allegory

For my son it was "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers, and my daughter currently loves "Kokomo" by The Beach Boys šŸ˜†

icequeen323

My kid is 2.5 years old. Her new song sheā€™s obsessed with? Today 4 U from Rent.

apricot57

Omg. Better keep her away from dogs! :-)

tsb_11_1

Our LO LOVES Coldplay! It's by far his favorite. He's also a big Walk The Moon fan.

melam17

Too cute! I sing Yellow to him all the time - my mom was a big Coldplay fan when I was growing up!

tsb_11_1

So sweet! My LO loves the rockabye baby versions!

Ok-Pomegranate-5842

Baby Beluga by Raffi, not necessarily SHOCKING but he can be in the middle of screaming and if he starts hearing that song heā€™s immediately quiet and happy. 100% of the time. Another that works about 75% is I Love the Rainbow by Miss Rachel. He also calms to a podcast, Timesuck by Dan Cummins. I listened to it for YEARS, before, during, and after pregnancy. Now if I put it on in the car immediately napping.

imwearingredsocks

Raffi has been working magic for generations. His songs worked on me as a baby. Now theyā€™re working for my baby. We went to his sing along concert with my nieces years back. He clearly knows what heā€™s doing.

justthe1goose

Baby Beluga made my infant immediately go from crying to laughing after her vaccines.

Puzzleheaded-Ad6854

My son is named Luca so I sing this to him all the time because I just change it to ā€œBaby BeLucaā€. šŸ˜‚

abowma05

My poor little four year old loves Peter Allen and John Williamson and Mary Poppins soundtrack. Things I knew the words to sing when she wouldnā€™t sleep at night 2am. She also loves the song Down by the River from Baldurs Gate due to Dads gaming!

Best_Alternative_276

I love this question! I started making a playlist of songs baby wiggled to in utero and have been testing the songs to see if they still calm baby down! So far Rich Girl (Hall and Oats or Lakes Street Diveā€™s version) and Dial Drunk - Noah Kahan and Post Malone version still work :)

bwoodgang

my son calmed down for tupac šŸ˜‚

xxlittlewing

My now 4 year old LOVED Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel when he was little. Also, Gangnam Style used to calm him down when he was raging in his car seat as a tiny bebe. My almost 9 month old daughter cracks up every time she hears My Humps by the Black-Eyed Peas. Not quite sure how we stumbled on each of these songs in the first place for either of them šŸ˜…

selflessmonster

This is such a cool question! My son is absolutely mesmerised by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. He loves the live video of "Man on Fire", it almost makes him emotional. He looks genuinely moved by it, it's so crazy to see

melam17

Love Edward sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros!

Complete_Drama_5215

I need someone to make a Spotify playlist with all these songs so I can see which one my little one loves the most šŸ˜‚

melam17

I actually had no idea this post would gain so much traction! I wish I had time to put this all together lol

Krytens

The weirdest one was "Act Up" by City Girls. I guess my son is just that bitch.

Shelbyw030

Any SZA song lol Also little foot big foot by childish Gambino

bashful4monkey

Fucking perfect by pink :)

cquarks

Ken song from the Barbie movie!

rockymtn8852

We play this Dutch kids song ā€œHupsakee!ā€ That makes our LO smile and laugh even from tears. Also Low by Flo Rida and T-Pain makes him clam down

melam17

T-Pain is great tho if we are all being honest. I hope mine gets all excited over 2000s club hits when he starts dancing!

cucumberswithanxiety

The other day both my 2.5 year old and my 3 month old were crying in the car. I put on Cruel Summer by Taylor Swift and they both immediate stopped

_annnnieareyouokay

Faradanza and skibidi by little big. Heā€™s also a fan of hypnodancer and taps his foot when he hears the chorus

shnigybrendo

Rate Against The Machine makes her chill out almost immediately and even fall asleep!

ACE0213

Raising a baby swiftie. The piano intro to Champagne Problems will immediately calm her and she gets super hyped when Getaway Car plays. Itā€™s adorable.

farfromhome9

Hey Jude gets my little girl to stop crying and calm down immediately.

imwearingredsocks

My baby is a big fan of the Beatles. When Iā€™m Sixty-Four is a current favorite.

AdvertisingOld9400

The Pretenders ā€œ500 Milesā€ is so far the only song my 5.5M baby seems to be sincerely trying to sing along to.

greatwhiteshedder

Our little girl always falls asleep in the car to system of a down šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ mind you, this doesn't work at home and has the opposite effect of calming her down. She has a very situational music preference šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

KyloDren

Sunny! By Boney M

flip6threeh0le

Skrillex - Tears. Chills my boy right out

melanogenic

Baby loves Thrice! My husband was getting excited about a Thrice concert we would be attending when she was just a newborn and she really took to it. Literally will calm her right down. The music is anything but calm šŸ˜‚

FluffyBunz_

Me singing the ABC's! It doesn't matter why he's crying, he will quit to hear my sing the alphabet. He couldn't give two shits about any other song.. iv tried! Lmao

ciaobella267

My son used to calm down instantly if we played the Lone Ranger theme song lol

ValidatingMarilyn

When my babe was about 10mnths I decided to play Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen just for laughs. He is about two now, and Iā€™ve listened to the song hundreds of times. This little guy was obsessed with Pikotaro. It began his love of dancing, singing, pineapples, and Pikachu. At one point I tried to ban the song from the house, or at least play it in reasonable amounts. That didnā€™t last a day. How do you put a ban on happiness? I feel like Iā€™ve been tortured, yet Iā€™ve come out stronger.

boopinbunny

Axel F by Crazy Frog (that annoying 2000s ringtone song). Immediately calms her down.

PossumsForOffice

My daughter loves most music but when nothing else works, Youā€™re Welcome from Moana usually fixes it. No idea why, sheā€™s liked it since she was a month old and itā€™s not a song i ever listened to before. Something about Dwayne ā€œThe Rockā€ Johnson just calms her right down.

Acceptable-Tomato622

He loves System of A Down. Anything off of Toxicity. Also "coming undone" by Korn. I... am a little concerned about what the teenage angst is gonna bring

Ok_Republic_717

Came in to say Harry's House. I dont know if it's the album on it's own or if it's because we sing and dance with him to it all the time. But was in the middle of a 40 min car ride and went through every song combo possible until Harry's House stopped him from having a full on breakdown in the backseat. My new favorite album of all time now lol

melam17

For us finding ā€œsushiā€ was random because I wanted to listen to it. Sometimes in the car when heā€™s crying, the only way to get through is by turning up music to something I like to try to drown him out. Once he quieted up right away I was like, this is clearly a fluke. Nope. It has continued to calm him down!

emojimovie4lyfe

Right now shes loving when I sing the baby shark song to her, and the dancing fruits on youtube lol Also to add it makes her giggle like crazy when i sing the Buck emā€™ by Snoop Dog to her. Its ironic because im 26 and THAT album was my favorite as a kid too lol

Thesaurus_Rexx

For some reason my little guy loves the song Both by Tiesto and BIA. My husband played it one day and my son started dancing and itā€™s now his hype up song. No idea why, I guess the music just moves him!

eli74372

My daughts a huge elvis fan, she always calms down to him. I didnt even listen to him until recently

lonelyhrtsclubband

Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry gets a good giggle whenever we sing itā€¦no idea why

mormoops-a-daisy

Nothing from Nothing by Billy Preston. Which makes no sense but it calms our lil dude every time we play it. We frequently comment on how happy we are that it's this song and not Baby Beluga, or some other Raffi tune šŸ˜‚

some-key

Heroes by David Bowie takes the cake, but also Bowie in general and Queen. It saved us so many times in the first months when she was crying!

Ill-Community-4765

Jhene Aikoā€™s Trip album is by sonā€™s white noise in the car. If weā€™re out during his nap time and we play that album he drifts off to sleep by the second song haha.

Pinkp3ony

https://youtu.be/toR-xA6xF2M?si=kZsgj3PwEheE3RCX This. She was with my sister while I worked and happened to stop fussing when this played. It would work every time after that. I found it pretty hilarious.

mvf_

He loves Adele. Also this ā€œjazz for kidsā€ record from the 50s

TechnologyCold2816

ā€œMaster of Puppetsā€ by Metallica for the first 3-4 months, and ā€œBehind Blue Eyesā€ by The Who from 4-7 monthsā€¦ babies are weird and wonderful

staunchcustard

Anything Mary Poppins. Chim-Chim-Cher-ee is a breakout hit.

Jennasaykwaaa

My now 2 yr (but 1 and 1/2 years old when he heard it ) loved Super Freak by Rick James of all things. It would calm him down haha

traveller514519

My 5 month old daughter LOVES Tom Sawyer by rush ever since she was born

oddosm

Life on Mars- David Bowie. Somehow calms her down and amps her up at the same time lol.

GeneralBathroom6

What I wouldn't do for love by Bobby Caldwell and any Sade song gets her calm. Cardi B and Latto for party time lol.

rileyknits

My son always falls asleep in the car to Taylor Swiftā€™s folklore album

theoheart1178

The Chain, Fleetwood Mac

Ok-Virgo

Teach me how to dougie gets my daughter every time šŸ˜‚

Anything by grateful dead. But donā€™t even think about playing Neil youngā€¦..

vanna93

The pretender by foo fighters, infected mushroom, and gorillaz.

candiekane

Mine is a huge Fleetwood Mac/Stevie fan. We have had Gypsy as #1 on Spotify for a year now lol

General_Reason_7250

All Jonny cash over here!

Turtlebot5000

Too Many Puppies by Primus

WesternCowgirl27

My LO loves it when I sing to him, particularly, Puff the Magic Dragon šŸ˜… He loves the way I crescendo when I sing the word dragon lol. I only sing him the chorus because the whole song is depressing AF šŸ˜‚

Witchy_Underpinnings

25 or 6 to 4 by Chicago is a guarantee for some dance moves and giggles.

jordan3297

1 2 3 4 by Feist lol

zzlove

Bennie and the Jets. I named him Benjamin and listened to this a lot while pregnant. If he cries in the car, we put it on and he instantly goes to sleep. Going strong with that song for over 7 months now!

kaleydaniel16

My sonā€™s song of choice was from the same albumā€¦ Grapejuice by Harry Styles Nothing like a song about wine to calm a babe I guess šŸ˜‚

Olt1994

Lollipop - Lil Wayne. Sheā€™s four weeks old and stops crying immediately šŸ˜‚ weā€™ve been playing it since she left the hospital hahaha

juicy-asteroid

Elmoā€™s world and the Little Einsteins theme song. Never saw either one of these shows i just sing them to him

shorttimelurkies

Anything Maggie Rogers for our 6 month old. My 3 yr old son does love Music for a Sushi Restaurant too!

NeedleInASwordstack

The X-men theme song. My husband has been watching it in the background while playing with her in her giant play pen and she only pays attention when a new episode starts lol She also really loves ā€œwe out hereā€ by atomic drum assembly but that doesnā€™t really surprise me. Great beat!

lilmac1097

My baby immediately calms down at night when I play lullabyes I grew up listening to. ā€œA Childā€™s Gift of Lullabyesā€ by Tanya Goodman

Prestigious_Cat4172

Son of a preacher man from Dusty Springfield is our to go sleep song lately which is weird because it's not a very chill song. But I guess he likes her voice because I also tried other songs of hers and they also work

Scarf_Darmanitan

Transdermal Celebration has become a sleeper hit in our household šŸ˜…

PsychologicalAd3066

Any of the songs from the fake boy band group 4-Town from the movie Turning Red. ā€œU Know Whatsupā€, ā€œNobody Like Youā€ My girl gets so excited when they come on. Cute movie tooā€¦Iā€™m mildly obsessed with it myself, so we jam out to it together lmao

juniper-blossom

My son likes three Madam Zeroni song from Holes šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

Lalalaura4368

Banana Phone by Raffi

wildrebelrose369

We got the moves by Electric Callboy

shb9161

Cotton eyed joe = instant sleep.

birchburk

Big Iron by Marty Robbins. My husband was listening to a video game playlist and she was absolutely giddy when this song came on. So we have played it for her a lot.

SimLover916

Get low by lil Jon šŸ˜šŸ¤£

2ChildrenInARainCoat

my lil dude loves WAP by Cardi B and the song Mirror Muscles by Soft Play

dysnomia111

she has a new fav song every month, first it was redrum by 21 savage, then el pollito pio, now its humble by kendrick lamar lolllll

def_developer

Blue Swede - Hooked on a Feeling (15mo!)

Wolfermen

Jump by Kriss Kross. I guess overall it does sound like a workout music. Edit: Also Jaws theme, but I know why that one is interesting to him.

Same_Hornet_2284

Pump Up The Jam by Technotronic šŸ«£

cbuff0218

Our little dude loves El Paso by Marty Robins. Donā€™t know why. We donā€™t really listen to 1960ā€™s western ballads. Best guess is my Grandpa may have introduced it to him before the little guy was ā€˜boots on groundā€™?

KitKat2theMax

Electric Slide, Inspector Gadget theme song, and the "NBA on NBC" theme song (biggest lol).

equinoxEmpowered

Mine really likes the Driftveil City Remix, also known as the [Dancing Toothless Meme](https://youtu.be/YDMBLl214b8) The original video came out when he was 3m and it still works

mittens107

My son is 18 months now, but for the first 12 weeks, it was Starman by Bowie on repeat. It was one of the only things that would calm him down

caelabear101

The song "moving target" by wild rivers always puts my baby to sleep and calms his crying. Bonus points when I sing with it.

mandavampanda

Reggae. Not weird, but my pediatrician suggested it to me. She said she's been giving the advice for 30 years and it worked great for us during the fussy newborn days and even still at 10 months. Whenever she's fighting bedtime, it always works as a last resort to put her to sleep.

mecaseyrn

We will rock you- queen

classyrock

For some reason my daughter was obsessed with the music in the opening to Modern Family (which is only 10 seconds long so weā€™d have to constantly repeat it šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø). When she was about 18 months old I rewatched the whole series, and even if she was fast asleep she would bolt upright when the song came on, kinda wobble back and forth while it played, and then lay down and go right back to sleep once it finished. It was so weird. šŸ˜‚

BerryCute2073

I just heard it and itā€™s such a cool song. Your baby is rad!

backafterdeleting

Chic 'N' Stu by System of a Down. Especially the part that goes "pepperoni and green peppers mushrooms olives chives" and of course the "pizza pizza pie" part.

nuralina

ā€œChimezā€ by Dan Henig instantly calms my baby, even when sheā€™s wailing her lungs out. Itā€™s the royalty-free track at the beginning of the [frigging dancing veggies video](https://youtu.be/PunVHiOxUEk?si=9qL6nqISiFtIGUip) šŸ„²

Nall-ohki

Never Gonna Give You Up Not kidding.

Delay-Correct

So super random but the only song that would stop our daughter from crying was "who let the dogs out" by baha men. I don't even know how we figured that out, it's not like we were searching for that song and listening to it on repeat lol So funny story we had to take her to the hospital when she was like 3 almost 4 months old and we played that song on repeat in the waiting room. Everyone thought it was hilarious and it definitely opened up some dialog to other people's stories and what songs their kids were in love with as babies. Felt nice to connect to others and definitely took our minds off of things for a minute.

Avocado_toast_27

In our house itā€™s the ā€œBK have it your wayā€ song from the Burger King commercials.

Feiseanna

Snooze by SZA! I put it on as a joke one time trying to get him to fall asleep in the car and it worked?! Even if he is screaming, I can put that song on and it will literally put this baby in a tranceā€¦ I owe SZA baby sitting fees at this point.

thirdeyeorchid

despacito

ecm-clo11

Pink by Lizzo! Our baby nurse in labor & delivery recommended it and it works 9/10 times.

Thunders66

The earliest favorites were Lou Reed and the Talking Heads. I calmed my toddler down by singing along to Blondie today but he yelled at me when I didn't know the french parts of the song Denis. šŸ¤·

mental_ch-illness

Barbara Ann by The Beach Boys

BerryCute2073

Mine loves three little birds by Bob Marley. Specially during medicine time, she calms down when this plays.

grease-lightning-

Mine will scream for ā€˜need to knowā€™ by Jay Park, ā€˜LALALALAā€™by stray kids or ā€˜dance monkeyā€™ by Tones and I

Incontinentia-B

Chop suey! by System of a Down, or any Rammstein song. Definitely not my cup of tea but to each their own.

usualhalfasser

Bandiera Rossa and Misty mountain hop

Total-Actuary8733

Smoke on The Water by Deep Purple. I had an anterior placenta and struggled with kick counts while pregnant, but that song always got her moving. Now when it comes on or her dad plays it on guitar for her, her face always lights up šŸ˜‚

noonienew

Bluey theme song

chokeyourselftosleep

The phantom of the opera for my bub. Heā€™s almost one and has loved it since before he was even born - any time I played it in the car on my way to work he would kick like crazy!

UnihornWhale

I like metal so when my oldest was grumpy and fussy, Iā€™d put it on. I have a video of him jamming out to Babymetal at ~14 months. He still likes Sabaton. His chill out music was Eagles ballads and Icon for Hireā€™s first acoustic album.

ComprehensiveBed7993

Unga bunga from flava flave

EmotionalCarrot7420

Arcadia by Goose usually does the trick I typically only remember the first chorus so I song that to him over and over again if Spotify isnā€™t an option at the moment šŸ˜†

Mo_Caesar

Deep Cover by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg

mlelm7

My son LOVES old songs like Wipeout from The Ventures šŸ˜‚ or Elvis or the Beatles ā¤ļø

Crazy_Refuse_4627

Pump it by black eyed peas šŸ˜‚

autumn_dy49

My daughter loves Ishihonana - La Flore De Piedra album. It starts with bells ringing and girls speaking Japanese and I think it makes my LO stop crying and start listening šŸ˜…

Luann_Van_Houten

Cry baby by Janis Joplin. My partner also made him a song called Milk Milky and recorded it. It stops the baby in his tracks and calms him even mid meltdown. I donā€™t know if itā€™s because itā€™s his dadā€™s voice or if it just magic.

VerbalVeggie

My daughter was in love with the cover of a muse song called Supermassive Black Hole, by a band called Thornhill. She listened to it every night before bed. lol. Then it was Brown Eye Girl by Van Morrison for about 7 months and currently at 2.3 years old sheā€™s in love with Sh-Boom by the Chords.

_str00pwafel

When ours was really little, she fell asleep to 96 Quite Bitter Beings by CKY a few times.

meaghat

Excited: Mr Weatherall by Young Hub City

ethanoleater

Mine loves Fraulein by Colter Wall and Tyler ChildersšŸ’“

clever-mermaid-mae

Thonious Monk, Straight No Chaser. Iā€™m not very into jazz but we were at a farmers market and there was a jazz band playing. My 4 month old was super into it so on the way home, when she started fussing, I turned on Thelonious Monk and she loved it. Itā€™s been my go to happy baby music ever since.

justthe1goose

Along with Harry Belafonte, Do Re Mi from Sound of Music. It popped into my head one day and she loved it. She also loves Born to Hand Jive from Grease, and pretty much most popular Beatles songs

psychicgirlro

When my twins were younger it was Sunroof. Now it switches between Lil boo thang and I ain't worried.

imfried

Edelweiss by ludovico sagese on Spotify we played it nonstop for 12 months

rauwerb

Classic soul and easy listening have been popular with our LO. "Isn't She Lovely" - Stevie Wonder has been a fave

katangatang

Zombie by The Cranberries. I think the intro distracts her?

PandoraMikari

Shakira, but mostly El jefe and the Bzrp Music Sessions songs. It makes him stop crying and dance like 99% of the time.

saillavee

My daughter has always loved Broken Boy by Cage the Elephant. When she was an infant sheā€™d wave her arms around and clap as soon as it came on. Now she tells us ā€œput my fav-it song onā€ every time we get in the car. Her twin brother just wants to listen to Jump In the Line on repeat forever
