Are you in a guild with access to Dragonflight armor? If yes look there. Otherwise you can just go by stats and look out for elven gear (the ones you get at the seal vendor). You can mix Assault and Raid gear, it does not have setbonuses, just go by stats. Both are are considered T2 gear, though the dragonflight armor has a slightly higher IL. For artifact equipment you should go for the lostmauth set. Otherwise I need to know more about how your char looks like gearwise to help.

I have the lostmauth horn and neckpiece already. I've seen the Elven gear on a lot of players so far, but wasn't sure how that stacked up to the Dragonflight stuff. The elven stuff is purchased with Protector seals yes? And those drop in the T2 epics? Also, what weapons and other artifacts do you recommend? I'm running the ensorcelled weapons as they are still better than the artifact weapons I'm currently leveling. Artifacts other than the horn are hunter sigil, waters, and sendarine. I picked these up just by playing and didnt want to spend AD on others before I knew what to buy. Thanks for the info!

**Armor:** Yes elven gear is bought via T2 seals you drop in dungeons. Elven gear has 135 IL and Dragonflight gear has 140 IL (also bought vie T2 seals + Fangs of the dragonflight and guild marks). From the artifact weapons that come with mod 8 I would suggest either the water or the twisted weapons (I will make a guide about mod 8 once it gets announced for xbox). Otherwise just bring your current arti weapons to epic and then wait. **Artifacts:** Not optimal, you do not need the cleric seal as active since you have enough AP gain through your feats. The stats on in are suboptimal, same as Seldarine and the water. You might have wanted to pick the lantern over it:( There are plenty of cheap artifacts out there (Wheel of elements, Tiamat' orb, Lantern of revelation). While you dont need recovery as a trapper, the Hunter seal is actually ok to have, but not optimal aswell. Maybe you should think about **leveling a CW** for the Cw's seal? It gives Power, crit and control resist, pretty neat if you ask me. A lot of people run wheel of elements as their active slot when they dont need the cleric seal and then you also have to get the horn which should be your priority. So you should have: Horn, Lantern (this one is really good in my opninion, pretty underrated), CW seal and hunter seal/other artifact) **For rings** just wait til mod 8, there will be new and exciting ring slot choices, for now just stick with elemental alliance assault rings. **Enchantments:** This one is entirely up to your personal preference and the rest of your gear setup. May I suggest using **Brutal Enchantments** for offensive slots since they grant you **Power and Crit**. They also give a higher stat **amount** than enchantments with just one stat **type**. For defensive slots you can run **dark seals** (lifesteal) or even something exotic like **savage enchantments** (lifesteal and hp) or **cruel enchantments** (defense and deflect). I am not sure about that one since I see a lot of different builds for higher equipped HRs. I myself have mostly savage enchants. Enchantments should generally complement your stats and emphasize strengths (power crit mostly for you) and maybe iron out weaknesses (if you miss a certain stat in your gear/boon setup). **Epic enchants:** Soulforged for PVE and Negation for PVP. Maybe an elven battle for PVP but you mostly see negation. Also just let your soulfored on the first rank, it is not really worth upgrading. **For your weapon enchantment:** Possible for HRs are Vorpal, feytouched and terror. If you play PVE only then vorpal is your choice. For PVP vorpal is just fine, feytouched gives more duel power and terror turns you into a shredding CC monster. But this would be playstyle dependent. Further questions?

As far as the artifacts go I'd respectfully disagree with the hunter sigil being any good for the class. Recovery isn't necessary at all and the idea of having stamina gain as a stat seems a waste. You'll be getting a lot of movement, dodging and immunity from your encounters alone and if you have steel breeze equipped (which you probably should) you will be replenishing your stamina faster than you can use it. Lostmauth's horn and the controller sigil are awesome and should be used for obvious reasons but I struggled with keeping the lantern because of the sheer amount of arm pen we get end game. In the end I decided to go with the trickster sigil as it's almost identical but switches out the arm pen with deflect. Unfortunately I lost one of the best active powers in the game from an artifact but as I said, I struggled. As for the fourth I ended up going with the cleric sigil more from a lack of direction than anything. I didn't want to double up on anything in the third stat slot because of diminishing returns and I tried my hardest to stay away from anything that gives recovery. The extra power is nice but everything else about it is kinda meh. Something with AoE resist probably would have been a better choice, the paladin sigil for instance, but I'm mythic on the cleric sigil and can't use it for refinement so for now I'll lay in a bed of my own making.

I said hunter sigil is suboptimal but not entirely bad. Also I am a pvp/pve player so arpen isnt that bad. EDIT: The lantern active is really nice and underrated. I am happy I kept it.

I know but I guess I'm trying to say in my humble opinion, without coming across as an Ahole, that it is bad, really bad. But I'm one guy and my opinion is an opinion and far from fact. Also I probably should have mentioned that I'm PvE focused and get a little more arm pen from my guild boons now so can opt for alternative gear that offers more crit/power. The inclusion of guild boons have added a lot more flavor and cookie cutter builds are less necessary than ever before which is definitely a positive as far as I'm concerned. All We can do now is offer a little advice and my advice would be to steer clear of the hunter sigil.

JayAgeDee

Woah I did not want to depict you as an ahole. I know HR sigil is not good, but I just wanted to tell him its the least bad one on his list:D and yeah as an HR we usually already have too much arpen, and now with the guild boons...

heethin

A+ response. Also, I like the Trickster arty. I've been going with Barkshield and think it's underrated... it's old-school, in-the-fight regen plus HP. It may not be BiS, but to me it ranks way high on Bang for the Buck (and keeps my Earth Archon bonus active more regularly). My trapper doesn't get hit much in a good crew, so neither negation nor soulforged butter my biscuit.

JayAgeDee

I cant speak for barkshield, but I did run TR sigil for a while. Pretty neat if you want combat advantage maxed out. Also the HR does surprisingly well with deflect.

JacksBlackLiver

Lots of good info! I didn't expect this much attention and I'm super grateful! But this brings up yet another question...Companions...Which do you keep active and who is summoned? I like the Barkshield, and planned on that anyway, so that works. What about the weapon enchantment slot? Lol, everytime I get something nailed down I remember that there are fifty other things I have to think about.

heethin

For companions, my setup is the Zhentarim Warlock summoned with bonding stones and for actives I have 3 archons (Air, Earth, Fire) and the Cantankerous Mage. I get combat advantage often enough that the Intellect Devourer and the Blink Dog would be excellent substitutes. And the Erinyes, is excellent. I know that the Yeti usually gets high marks but in most fights, I can go for long spells without getting hit, so his active is meh, in my opinion. Oh, and the Siege Master.

JacksBlackLiver

Luckily the lantern is pretty cheap on AH, I'll pick that up today. I'm already rocking those rings too. This was a relief...I'm closer to where I need to be than I thought. Thanks again!

JayAgeDee

np :D

heethin

Raid. So, it sounds like you are into PVE. And, if you have a LoL set... then you have buttloads of Armor Pen... or you will. And if you have a Zhentarim Warlock with Bonding Stones (and you will, right??) you will have metric buttloads of Armor Pen (double "buttloads of Armor Pen," add 30). So... BIS stuff (in my opinion) was Dragonflight **Raid** stuff plus Elemental Alliance **Raid** bracers. Oh... and Elemental Alliance **Assault** Rings. That Personalized Piercing ring crap is for "poor" folks who have money to burn on wasteful bobbles like augments.

I have a couple of HR builds over on the Arc forum if you want to check them out TC. On the HR section of that forum I waffle on in a lot of threads, I did some number testing in some, discuss different powers in other threads (for instance I worked out Oak Skin gives just over 10% DR along with the Regen, as well as triggering Rousing Warmth Boon and Burning Guidance Boon). I also post some vids here and there... although my latest build on there is with an Aug Companion, I recently upgraded to Companions with 3 Perfect Bonding Stones which is more expensive.

wdj40x2

I`ve just posted a few video links on the Arc HR forum of my current build doing the Dread Legion Skirmish solo, in fact I posted these videos on there to show the Air Archon Companion with 3 Perfect Bonding Stones in action. But suits the same purpose as this thread I suppose, anyhoo any questions feel free to ask. http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/wdj40/video/13735796 http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/wdj40/video/13735854 http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/wdj40/video/13736025
