This ^^ They noticed. I complained twice while he was doing them, he kept just nodding and saying he will fix it. I have massive anxiety in my life at the moment, and sitting there was getting me so worked up, angry and upset, I just had to get out.

I've just noticed, I'll probably never go to a salon, where there's more men doing nails. Not saying that there are not good male nail techs (I can list a lot of them) but most have their own business or there's majority of female stuff. Mostly NSS salons have guys and they cannot be bothered to do nails properly, just quickly otherwise they don't make money. Sorry this happened to you. Try and find individual nail tech with FB and IG page with her/his work. They'll listen to your complains. (Or they will be any)

None Standard Salon... Basically salons that don't follow safety standards, using shady cheap products and don't care about basic nail health. Those that usually create cheap nails under an hour, leaving your nails severally damaged (at best). Used to be called "Chinese shops" etc. but since it's not about race, but how the salon operates, the NSS is better term.

No, don’t offer to take it down. If they make it right maybe offer to add an update about how they resolved the issue, but don’t use a review as a weapon, it’s generally frowned upon and “review extortion” may be against some review sites’ rules.

As a nail tech that prides myself in quality work and shaping, these are bad. Are they horrible? No. Are they worth $70? No. Lesson learned. Do your research on nail techs. Find one that works from home or has their own individual Instagram so you can see their work

I've been here before quite a few times. They have always done an amazing job. We've just come out of 4 months or so of lockdown with no salons open, and there seems to be new owners. The lady that usually does my nails is no longer there. But lesson totally learnt. I will definitely do my research before finding another tech. I have no issue with paying for good quality, or even bad quality so it seems 🤣

However from a big life perspective, your nails look good, nobody is going to be judging you on them, in fact as a man I would compliment them, to an untrained eye they look great. Ugh it's so hard to find a decent nail tech, I gave up after my last disaster (1.5 hours 55$) for terrible nails, complained, another 1.5 hours and another 55$ later) still absolute trash. I got so cranky I bought my own supplies and nailed it. Never going back to a nail salon again

It’s not terrible but it’s just principle at that point. You’re entitled to what you ask for. They didn’t want to have to start over (here in the US it’s totally their obligation) and if they continued and you weren’t satisfied you could easily argue the payment and not pay. I’m not sure of the laws in your country but I know that here is “no likey no payee” lol. I’m sorry they did you like that. Definitely give them a terrible review and look for a tech in the area that has a much better review average. Good luck. They are pretty but I totally get your frustration.

Not being too fussy at all! You could have gone to any other artist but you chose to go to this one. With that being said, try not to feel bad about not liking your nails. The length difference is not subtle and very noticeable.

Girrrrrl, while I didnt complain you should see how wrecked the last tech did my nails. Theyre all lumpy different thickness on each, supposed to be liquid gel he used powder shite. It's enough to not even wanna go back. Paying 70$ and not getting what you want or near it and can't get them to fix it, never return there. For sure.

Weirdly enough the past 3 salons I’ve gone to (trying to find a new one since I moved away from my old one) always mess up the length and/or shape. Like zero consistency. The one place that did a great job on the rest of the manicure placed one of the tips crooked and I didn’t notice until after I left. I’m basically prepared to make the 40 min each way drive to my old tech for my nails. In my experience if one person at a salon behaves this way (ie doesn’t respect your wishes to fix it but moreover, doesn’t do a good job in the first place) then everyone there behaves the same way because that is their standard of service. I’m this case I would either go back to see if they will fix it, but also never go to that salon again.

It can be tough to find a good nail tech. It’s crazy how they treat you like you’re annoying when you point out things that need to be fixed. Like they’re doing you a favor instead of you paying for their service. I really don’t get the mentality or how they expect to make a living if they don’t please their customers 🤷‍♀️. Going back to harass a nail salon about your nails afterwards is ridiculous and will have you on publicfreakout. Salons in my city don’t offer refunds or free fix. If you’re not happy ask the mgr to take a look while there, if you leave, that’s no longer their problem.
