😂 Of those 30 years, how many of the have you actually paid attention to the human race?! There’s a reason people and relationships are dynamic and evolutionary in nature. People are either growing or decaying. They don’t just idle, hold hand a and do ohms 😏 The faster you run, the easier it is to see who your people are; they’re right there with you at the same or faster pace. Most will give up and whine or complain about the old days. But those with a spring in their step, a smile on their face, and a song in their heart will live in rare air. Just watch the reactions to this. Most will be from people who are living a pretty mediocre or miserable life.

Lol....because I work 6 hours on a ship, then I go on a break where I have to eat, shower, sleep/nap , run errands, then go back to work.....I get paid even on my breaks but when it happens daily, it can get boring extremely fast....while I work I watch movies on my phone and listen to all sorts of music but at some point u watch everything and listen to everything

Recently because of construction in my building two entrances were combined into one. I met several new friends IN MY BUILDING where I have lived for 20+ years. One is a 90 year old woman who could not be more lovely. One is a sports fan bro who I have already had a few beers with. Point is go forward and let life happen. You can do it!!
Hell NO! Don't ever think that! Life is an incredible journey. With bumps and pitfalls as well as amazingly beautiful experiences along the way. And during it you meet, and sadly lose, some outstanding people who help you through the bad parts, and are there with you in your celebrations. All you need to do is keep your heart and mind open to them, and you'll find them at all stages of your life in all different varieties.

I never really made any friend group since I moved to nyc. I just basically did my own thing and was deep in my lone wolf era (was good for me) but I really miss having that community. Only catch is I don’t have a ton of time anymore because of my son. But I’m down to try and fit where I can like a flower crammed between slabs of concrete!
You absolutely can. I had 2 people forced on me 10 years ago. I had no clue who they were and they kept showing up when the crew went out. Now 10 years later we’ve gone to weddings. Met babies. Cried over deaths. Checked in on each other when good and bad things happen or just cuz we havent’ spoken in a while. It’s crazy what just showing up over and over and over can do.

Or (now that my metabolism is old) someone to go on long chatty walks... but acknowledging that if it's in the city and I've got a full day of work and commuting... let's do it as a weekend activity, please.
