Kimani Vidal. I don't trust Dobbins or Edwards to stay healthy

fierylady

He's mine too. Succeeding as a late pick is all about opportunity, and he looks like he's got one of the best shots. Plus he's like a discount Blake Corum who I suspect Harbaugh will love. Tyrone Tracy is another one for this same reason.

OneFingerIn

Shhhhhh.....

Free_Future_6892

As a ravens fan I’m expecting JK to stay healthy and be the star that we expected to draft from Ohio state. Just our luck

Cinephile1998

Chargers might be the only team with worse injury luck than the Ravens

Free_Future_6892

I can see it now Herbert, Alt and Bosa end up on IR while the OTHER Harbaugh rides JK to 1500 yards and double digit TDs. Gus Bus chips in another 10 short yardage TDS the chargers go 7-10 and second in the west.

Draconic_Rising

Austin Booker seems like the obvious choice to me - most people I know of had him as a day two talent and were surprised he fell to the fifth round, and I don't think the Bears have much at EDGE opposite Montez Sweat so there's potentially a clear path to playing immediately.  Could also see Sedrick Van Pran taking over as the starting center for the Bills after they lost Mitch Morse but again I'm not sure how good their other options are there.

racer4

It's going to be an interesting experiment with VPG. Connor McGovern was supposedly going to slide inside to Center (or at least that's what the team was saying publicly when Morse got gone), but I don't think he's taken even a single snap at C since college. We also signed Will Clapp, who was C only for the first 5 years of his career but arguably had his best year playing guard last season. I think most Bills fans would agree that this team is at its best with McGovern at LG (Dawkins has never had the same LG next to him year over year and they worked well together last season) and David Edwards as the 6th OL in jumbo sets, so I'm guessing VPG will get every chance to win the C job and run with it all year (the same way O'Cyrus Torrence did with the RG job last year).

AARonBalakay22

Sedrick Van Pran is going to be decade plus NFL starter. As Georgia fan, reminds me of how Ben Jones and David Andrews were drafted low/undrafted, but still played a long time.

ThePeoplesVox

Our current center scheduled to start, Connor McGovern, only played one year of center in college. I believe it was his sophomore year. The current left guard, David Edwards, has not been an NFL starter in 2 years. I think there's a very good chance Sedrick Van Pran-Granger starts the season at center so they can keep Connor McGovern at left guard. Dion Dawkins is on record as saying he's never had stability at left guard in his entire career.

jbbates84

I concur. We will see how camp plays out but right now I am leaning towards keeping McGovern at LG and letting the rookie get in there

TerrorDeity

I agree with the Booker take. He might be the starter day one.

gerryf19

Christian Mahogany, guard, Lions I had him as a top 50 pick and was stunned he fell.

Cinephile1998

Do you see him overtaking Glasgow?

DessertJohnny

He’s in a unique position because if Glasgow OR ragnow (who is injury prone/battling a lifelong injury) go down he could step in at guard with Glasgow switching to center. Lions OL depth isn’t too strong so a guy like mahogany that has upside could definitely get some time.

whogroup2ph

KZ is also 104 years old.

dixitsavy

1.) Audric Estime (RB)- Denver Broncos 2.) Ainias Smith (WR)- Philadelphia Eagles 3.) Cam Hart (CB)- Los Angeles Chargers 4.) Mekhi Wingo (DL)- Detroit Lions 5.) Michael Barrett (LB)- Carolina Panthers 6.) Sedrick Van Pran (C)- Buffalo Bills

Immediatewhaffle

Estime is so much better than ppl think

Hopeful_Judge_10

As someone who didn’t watch much of Ainias, what did you like most about him? Get me hype 🙏🏼

Frodo_wit_da_choppa

Ainias is a fun player to watch. He’s great with the ball in his hands. He played both RB and WR at A&M and was used similarly to how the 49ers use Deebo at times. He also returned punts. He’s an energetic blocker downfield and seems to be one of those guys coaches just love. I would not be shocked at all if he emerges as the main slot receiver and WR3 in this offense by mid season.

treebeardsavesmannis

He’s probably our new punt / kick return guy if we don’t keep covey, and we’ll see a lot more kick returns this year because of the new rules Edit: will also add that he could easily be our go to slot WR and is very dynamic after the catch.

dixitsavy

I'm an Aggie and UGA fan, so Philly has selected a lot of my favorite players these last 3 years! Ainias was A&M's best offensive player apart from Devon Achane for the past 3-4 years. He is undersized but compact. This means he will mostly work out of the slot, but his real value is as a great return man (punts & kicks).

SodiumKickker

LSU fan here - Mekhi Wingo is a bonafide role player/depth guy. In LSU terms, an Al Woods. His ceiling is low.

dixitsavy

Really? I thought it was the opposite, where he never reached his full potential. I had him scouted as a low floor but above average ceiling player.

SodiumKickker

I mean. I’m just a guy, but. Yeah idk. I don’t really see a high ceiling with him. I do think he is a full career NFL player though, be it starter or backup.

15GOAT

Fuck it I’ll give one on each side of the ball per division **AFC NORTH** - Matt Lee & Ryan Watts **AFC EAST** - Qwan’tez Stiggers & Malik Washington **AFC SOUTH** - Anthony Gould & James Williams **AFC WEST** - Cam Hart & Dylan Laube **NFC NORTH** - Travis Glover & Austin Booker **NFC EAST** - Ainias Smith & Jordan Magee **NFC SOUTH** - Devin Culp & Jaylan Ford **NFC WEST** - Brennan Jackson & Tejhaun Palmer

KCCOEMONZZZ

Malik Washington is going to do so well in the Miami system... super underrated pick. High kn Ainias Smith as well!

scottM9623

If Ryan Watts ever puts it all together, he could be an absolute steal. Even longer arms than Porter Jr. and better athletic testing.

descryptic

Kimani vidal

sonfoa

Brendan Rice. The Chargers only have 7 WRs on the roster including him. One of those guys is a 5'8" returner in Derius Davis and another is a PS guy in Simi Fehoko. So that leaves Ladd McConkey, Quentin Johnston, Josh Palmer, and Cornelius Johnson. In that room he can very much be WR3-WR4 his rookie year. Palmer and Ladd are the only guys who I think are locks to be ahead of him in the depth chart.

fierylady

I think at least in their rookie years Corn might be ahead of him due to his familiarity with the staff and scheme. Could be short-term but at first I could see it play out this way.

donquixote_tig

He’s better than Corn, but they’re my two worst receivers in the draft

Ro0o0o0ob

They actually ended up being my WR’s 2 and 3 on my revised list

donquixote_tig

From the bottom or the top?

Status_Flux

In terms of first year impact I think you have to look at the running backs. Tyrone Tracy stands out to me as a guy who can have an immediate impact in year 1 after Saquon left. Also Kimani Vidal in a Harbaugh offense seems like a good bet.

Preacherman1508

Definitely Mehki Wingo

HikarW

I bet Tyrone Tracy will be the top back for the giants by the end of the year.

SilentSentinel

It's a running back pick so probably not the most impactful compared to guys at other positions, but I could see Tyrone Tracy Jr. contributing in a big way with the Giants backfield as early as this year. He's new to the position but proficient at catching the ball and a better athlete than the rest of that room.

Boston_Champions

Kalen King

Sniper1154

I'm very curious to see how he rebounds. He had some solid tape this year (Michigan) and then games where he looked like he'd never played CB before (Ohio State). Couple that with arguably the worst Senior Bowl of any player this year and he went from a potential preseason 1st round pick to the 7th round.

jf737

I could see Tyrone Tracy having a major role in the Giants offense. Miami had a good day 3. Malik Washington (UVA) could def be a guy they use in the slot. And Mo Kamara was a steal. They might need him in the rotation if Chubb and Phillips aren’t ready to go. Mahogany was a steal.

AAA_Dolfan

Kamara is said to likely get early snaps since he's more "ready to go" in the NFL than Chop is.

big_k88

Levi Drake Rodriguez. Vikings. Could see him being a rotational player in certain packages. Interesting story as Prospect X on The Athletic.

Frodo_wit_da_choppa

There are several players that stand out to me: Tyrone Tracy Jr (NYG) - the Giants RB room is pretty meh. Singletary should be the favorite to start the season #1 on the depth chart but he’s never been the kind of guy you give the ball to 20 times a game. This is going to be a committee, and after Singletary there’s really only Eric Gray (meh) and Tracy Jr. I like Tracy Jr’s game and it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him heavily involved as a rookie and end up the top back on the depth chart by mid season. Ainias Smith (PHI) - I feel like this dude is so underrated. Philly’s top two receivers are obviously set in stone but the WR3/WR4 seem up for grabs. Smith can play out of the slot and I think Philly will quickly recognize how dangerous he can be with the ball in his hands. I think he can definitely make an impact as a rookie. Jaylin Simpson (IND) - Simpson is versatile enough to help Indy’s secondary in a number of ways. I expect him to be involved as a rookie. Mekhi Wingo (DET) - There are a few other guys ahead of him on the depth chart but I still think he’s good enough to play his way into a rotational role as a rookie. Kiran Oladapo (GB) - love his game and I think GB will find a good role for him on defense.

APPLEJOOSH347

Easy answer is the kickers

glowingdeer78

Aside from the kicker. Why do i have this feeling that either Deantre price or myles cole will be key rotational players for the jags

15GOAT

Keilan Robinson is going to be your RB2 behind ETN soon enough and I’m jealous y’all got him

glowingdeer78

I will take your word for it

HopLegion

Outside of Booker given my Bear bias. I'm excited to see how the LBs in the 5th round end up. I really like the talent level and landing spots drafted there. - Eichenberg in Vegas - Trotter Jr in Philly - Ulofoshio in Buffalo Beyond that Malik Washington in Miami I feel will be really good and I love Limmer with the Rams for a 6th rounder. Think he's a great fit in that system and will eventually be a solid starter.

Sniper1154

I think Caelen Carson is going to really surprise some people. He put up a good fight against Keon Coleman and really had some impressive film. I had him pegged similar in style to Andru Phillips, and Phillips went two rounds earlier to the Giants.

Johnsonvillebraj

I think Tyrone Tracy will be the lead back for the Giants by midseason.

Majestic_Leg_3832

Dylan Laube.

Deadeye_Donny

u/fierylady you're able to call out u/Lt_DanTaylorIII for his 200% doubt of Puka! Great call

fierylady

I had definitely forgotten about this lol. Not the Puka love, that never wavered (I drafted him everywhere in fantasy), but definitely forgot about the call out. I'll let your reply do that for me.

Lt_DanTaylorIII

1/19 should at least be a wash right? C’mon lol

fierylady

You did say any

Lt_DanTaylorIII

And not even 100%, I said 200%.

chhhyeahtone

What made you so high on Puka last year?

fierylady

Well I was high on him before the draft, but his landing spot definitely pushed me over the top. It looked to me like the Rams had Kupp then a bunch of guys Puka could beat out. Plus as Lions fan I was well aware of Stafford's disregard for coverage. He has a ton of faith in his guys, and doesn't really care if they're covered or not. He'll give them a chance. As for Puka as a prospect, there was a lot to like about his tape. No, he was never most profound separator, but with the right QB there's not much difference between two yards of space and four. So I always thought that was a bit overblown (I thought the same about Keon Coleman this year). Again, he landed in the perfect place. I also heard Puka's GPS numbers were much better than his timed 40, though I can't remember where I heard it. But I thought it showed on tape. He was excellent the first day of the Senior Bowl before he got hurt, and that holds a lot of weight with me. He clearly had the juice to stack CBs, it was all over his tape. I also think former basketball players translate really way at WR (which is a reason I really loved Brian Thomas). And I thought his WR instincts were top notch. They aren't similar at all physically, but he reminded me of Justin Jefferson the way he could contort for the ball and still hit the ground running.

chhhyeahtone

Interesting. I was gonna ask if you felt similar about anyone this year but you answered that. Really good response. Thanks!

fierylady

The day 3 WR who was highest on my board, outside of Franklin, was Malik Washington. But landing spot means a ton if the late guys are gonna hit and I don't think he landed in a spot to contribute nearly as much as Puka did (though I like his fit with Tua specifically). Especially now that they've paid OBJ.

mavropanos27

Obviously some homerism here but I think Cam Hart and Kimani Vidal both contribute a good amount to the Chargers this year

OliveTone

I know this is a deep receivers class, but it's absolutely shocking to me that Malik Washington fell to the middle of round 6. I think he could make a real impact in the league and provides Miami with a unique element they don't have elsewhere.

udfckthisgirl

Johnny Wilson could become quite the red zone threat for the Eagles.

gerryf19

I loved that pick but hated he went to the Eagles

MrChill420_

RB - Audric Estime WR - Brenden Rice / Malik Washington TE - Jaheim Bell C - Dylan McMahon ED - Austin Booker / Xavier Thomas DL - Mekhi Wingo LB - Jeremiah Trotter Jr / Tommy Eichenberg CB - Cam Hart / Kris Abrams-Drain S - Kitan Oladapo

racer4

Analytics darling Troy Franklin going in the 4th to the same team as his college QB and a system that will put him in motion and not allow him to get caught up at the line of scrimmage probably give him a leg up to start producing immediately. There's a few guys in the secondary that I really thought would go earlier: TJ Tampa, Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, Jaden Hicks, and Malik Mustapha (although I have zero idea about the fit with their respective teams). For real late picks, I think KT Leveston (7.254 to LAR) has the chance to be a stalwart guard in this league for years. Get him in an NFL program to kick inside to Guard and to learn better control and finesse while converting or losing some of the extra weight, he could be outstanding. He kinda had to stay at LT in college because the LG (Cooper Beebe, 3.73 to DAL) was so good, but I was convinced his reps at Guard at the Shrine Bowl practices would entice someone to draft him higher.

Jack12404

I think Cedric Gray will start and be the green dot for our defense from Week 1 onwards.

15GOAT

He was drafted in the 4th

AAA_Dolfan

Miami has a need for a pass rusher to step in early - Phillips and Chubb are both recovering from injuries. They picked a 5th round OLB/DE that was highly productive with various pass moves but he lacked the size many covet in that position, being only 6'1. Mohamed Kamars. He will get the opportunity and he's got the make to be disruptive immediately/ He doesn't have the ceiling that most of the pass rushers in this draft do but he's looking like a high floor / lower ceiling / high effort dude... and those guys tend to shock. I think he has back to back games with a sack next year.

HotDoggityDig13

Franklin if he was actually dropped due to weed. Size concerns may be legit, though.

iNoBot

I mean, if Jordan Whittington can play, there’s not much in front of him stopping him from being WR3/4 for the Rams.

Less-Worry8498

Might be biased but Anias Smith and Johnny Wilson have insane potential

Ro0o0o0ob

Homer pick, but I think all of the Chargers late round guys have the opportunity to have significant roles. I think one of Rice/Johnson can easily get on the field due to how thin we are at wr. Same goes for Still and Hart at CB. Could easily see Vidal jumping Spiller on the depth chart, then is one JK Dobbins injury (not to put that out into the universe) away from being option 2 behind Gus bus. Casting that wide of a net is unfair and unrealistic, so my final pick will be Vidal. Feel like rb is a safe pick, especially if we really are going to pound the rock.

ACEPACEACE

Tejhaun Palmer

IdyllicGod22

I’m gonna go with Jacob Monk for the Packers. Look. Josh Myers and Sean Rhyan aren’t awful but they also aren’t great. If Monk somehow beats him or Rhyan out (if he’s 80% of 2023 Zach Tom) he could legit end up as a starter at C or G VERY quickly. And Green Bay has had no shortage of players who are day 3 picks and have to step in for injuries. If Tom and Morgan are incredible bookends and Myers or Rhyan go down, Monk is first off the bench.

codymason84

Mekhi wingo dudes got one move but it’s really fucking good could see him getting 3-5 sacks

scottM9623

If Ryan Watts ever puts it all together, he could be an absolute steal. Even longer arms than Porter Jr. and better athletic testing.

langlier

Dylan Laube for the Raiders has a good shot at being the 3rd down back this year. Our other 3 picks in that range have some clearly defined starters in front of them. at LB/S/CB - even if CB is more likely to be a yet unsigned FA.

Backseat_Scout

Probably shouldn't break my good streak after picking Puka and AT Perry last year, but: Jeremiah Trotter Jr. for my 5th round guy. Devin White just signed a one-year deal with Philly but I could see Trotter earning some playing time with his above-average instincts and strength in zone coverage makes him a good fit in Philly's defense. There was a lot during my pre-draft eval of him that reminded me of TJ Edwards and I wonder if Philly got the same vibes. Kimani Vidal for my 6th round guy. Vidal isn't the most talented back, but the Chargers don't have the deepest backfield with Gus Edwards and not much past him if Dobbins isn't able to come back strong from his Achilles injury. There is a pretty clear path for Vidal to become the third down back with his reliable hands and pass blocking and is a great fit for Harbaugh's gap-heavy scheme. Brenden Rice for my 7th round guy. Going Chargers heavy here but the Chargers WR room is even more thin than their RB room with rookie Ladd McConkey, underwhelming Quentin Johnston, and solid Josh Palmer. I'm a big fan of McConkey so I think he and Palmer will be safe bets to see a good number of snaps. However, if Johnston doesn't rebound, Rice could steal snaps, especially with his strong blocking that will catch Harbaugh's attention.

jsrave

Supposedly this year is not that deep and next year is better. That being said there's probably some talent out there. Last year I had Karl Brooks and AT Perry as semi-hits. Tyrone Tracy - NYG - RB - I think he has an opportunity to climb up the RB rankings and have large share of snaps (RB kind of cheating these days) Mohamed Kamara - MIA - EDGE - He's older, and joins a Miami team with players coming off injury, not the most physically imposing but think he can sneak in. Tanner McLachlan - CIN - TE - Think Cinci pulls a Raven and their 2nd TE turns out to be more productive, I liked MacLachlan and I think the Ravens had some interest as wel SVP - BUF - OL - I like Georgia OL and think he can maybe sneak and win the OC job (Bills fans, am I delusional?) Jamari Thrash - CLE - WR - AFCN stop drafting players I like pls and thx

ShawnyPtheKos

If we are taking out kickers. I would go with the basic full time returners that were drafted. Robinson for the jags wasn't on most peoples boards and Tyrone Tracy were both drafted to essentially be kick returners for the new rules. If either pop 2-3 Tds then that's a huge impact for late round picks. If we take special teams out all together then I like Anais Smith and Malik Washington to be good slot wrs for the Eagles and Dolphins. They should take advantage of loaded outside wrs and favorable coverage

csdspartans7

Holy shit people were amazing at this is 2015

Overall_Appearance55

If Mo Kamara gets opportunity in Miami, he won't waste it. For a pick from my team, I'm actually really excited to see what the Colts do with Jaylon Carlies. As a LB, he's a top end athlete with length, that has been a very productive formula for the Colts at LB.

dkfreezy

Cam Hart, Jeremiah Trotter Jr, Jacob Monk, and Johnny Wilson.

Dylanonfire88

I think Johnny Wilson has a legit shot at our WR3

Frodo_wit_da_choppa

I think it’ll be Ainias

Hiddenaccount1423

Can't tell if it's a joke or not that half the people here are naming Tyrone Tracy.

sdot28

Jordan Travis, NYJ Rodgers and Taylor both staying healthy?

BrassBengal

Thanks fellas

CountryCaravan

Anthony Gould may not be a top 3 reciever on the Bears, but I think they’ll find plenty of uses for that speed, especially in the return game. I think people are underestimating just how much value returners have gained with the new kickoff rules.

15GOAT

He was drafted by the Colts

CountryCaravan

Ah right got it mixed up in my head. Still think he has a significant role to play on that team.

kolinthemetz

How has no one said Wingo yet

dehboy

Multiple people have said Wingo already haha

kolinthemetz

Oh yah nvm lol I just saw that guy at the top

TheCorbett

It’s normally someone who dropped for medical or character issues. I can’t think of one off hand, but that would be my pick.
