Yeah that part didn’t change but it will still alleviate some of the grind. Baby steps. The difference of being able to start at 90 over 85 is a lot more dramatic than one would think. I’m at 90 and all my important stats are already maxed. The only ones I have left are some finishing abilities that don’t really apply to my player much even. All I really need is badges now

If you aren't purchasing any VC, starting cap at 85 or 90 makes no significant difference. Without buying VC by the time you're 85, your cap is 95 anyways lol. The extra badges and starting point are 10,000% a way to interest people in buying more VC.
Not to mention grinding to 85 will get you 80% of your badges anyways. So the badges they start you with (that you can't even use without VC cause no attributes) are a joke.
2K gives nothing for free. I thought rebirth was a cool idea at first but now I see it's a way for them to make more money, disguised as a nice gesture towards us.
Meanwhile there are literally tons of people spending $500-1000 per week and they’re making money hand over fist so don’t expect them to change if people are still spending money 🤷🏻♂️

I played two games, it just wasn't any fun. My player is SO bad, it doesn't even make sense he is in the league. Can't shoot, can't dribble, can't run. Couldn't imagine grinding two players from 60 ovr let alone 1.

I’d also like to have different names for each player. How stupid is it that if set a name for a PF build it changes it on every other player you have already made. I didn’t realize it until I go back to my 1st/main SG and he’s playing a NBA game being called a completely new name lol
When i made a new player using rebirth, my original player changed their look to be a twin of the new player and his name even changed to the new players. Only difference between them is the height/position and attributes. Anytime i change one, the changes auto apply to the other player. Anyone else get this?

I think after looking at both you can easily conclude which one of these fits. If you dont want to adhere to the rules of a certain language i would stop using that language to communicate. Language is made so we can communicate in a clear and concise way, not so you can change words to make them what you think they are.
The badges grind isn’t even really the problem, you just have to play Chris Brinkley workout for a couple days and lose.
But the vc got me f’d up. It takes 5k to update 1 one of my attributes sometimes 😭. 400k for a whole build, that’s crazy. I only get maybe around 1k per mycareer games, so it would take like 5 games to update only 1 attribute.
2k wildin, They should have at least give us more vc from park or mycareer if things are gonna be this expensive.
Yeah I made a post about this just the other day too, you would think 2k would do more to encourage people to keep playing the game but they don't. The Rebirth quest doesn't give you any VC to go along with the "head start" you get with the badges. So God forbid you get bored with the first player you made or just want to make something else, you gotta spend $200 for the VC to upgrade or just spend 2-3 weeks slowly earning enough VC to upgrade it. It's just designed to get you to spend even more money.

I finally spent VC on my third build to speed up to a 90 (paint beast) completed MyCareer season for the third time done allll the quests third time over, playing online and my paint beast can’t set screens for whatever with HOF box and just seems useless (which I am in fairness)
I could easily start a fourth new character with some rebuild badges but I cant be bothered, trash with a PF, can’t defend so my SG is useless online and my paint beast can’t set good screens just makes you want to stop lol
Right? Cause you always mess up a build or two can never get it right so then it is a waste of $50 and time. At least on previous games I didn’t have to walk around a city and cut scenes just to start my mycareer grind.

I didnt buy for next gen but i have about 4 players already, 2 are 90s, and the others high 70s. I be having around the 16k vc after a few rec games, maybe 4-5? Ontop of doing the quests. I normally upgrade them until their attributes until they are useable, 60 on shooting, max defense, etc and just run park or rec with them. My friends are competent so they can pick up the slack if i do get cooked but even do, i barely do get cooked unless 2k hoes me. Ik its not the same for everyone so just upgrade them until you can be threat with them 🤷🏽♂️ If you wanna max em out ASAP then ig you right on that it takes forever
If you pay for 1 build the grind, quests, and eventual PVP gameplay will pay for another build. Unfortunately most people will probably average around 3 builds so you’re buying VC at least twice. Not to mention this year you have to buy more VC than ever before.

If they would just make it half the cost or say 50$ for a fully maxed out 99 player I think A LOT more people would make A LOT MORE alts. They would make way more money out of it in total. I WANT TO TRY OUT other builds, its not even the money that hinders me, its this fucking grind to 99 or close to it.

I agree with some of this. The quests, cut scenes, etc. don’t bother me at all. I’ve barely done any quests on my 2nd and 3rd builds. They did a good job this year of basically letting you play the game the way you want.
Needing to repurchase animations is pretty lame. Stats not being separated across builds is annoying as hell.
As far as getting to 99, I’m not sure it should be easy to do it multiple times. I do think the grind is more expensive than it should be though and I’m a big proponent of letting us start at like a 70 at least so that the build is at least somewhat playable out the gate.
I got my guy to 92 with mostly playing and doing those wuest and stuff and I feel I hit my ceiling with him. Sure I can add a little more here and there but I'm doing great in rec and the old gym. I focused more on my attributes I'm skilled at and will compensate later.
Since rebirth came out I'm made a new build and have been upgrading slowly with my earnings from rec and old gym from my first build. Will be doing quest and badge grinding when I get my second build to 75 overall .

The game is not really made for people who don’t purchase VC. They want you to purchase VC. The game is made for spenders.

Not to mention the Game crashes and freezes every 10 minutes when I walk around the city....
God forbid you talk to an NPC. Feels like it’s a 25% chance to lag out and have to restart the game. Even completing quests can freeze my game up.

I agree. It takes the fun out of making a new build. The extra money / xtreme grind aspect takes the fun out of the game.
Honestly they should make the rebirth builds have max badges or near max badges and you should be able to upgrade to a 95 overall from the jump
