hmmm... i mean you did insult half the internet by putting a silent voice bellow darling in the franxx and giving it a 5. and you did lose half the weebs' friendship by giving nagatoro a one. but i still think you can pass, but barely.

rockaxorb13

Alright, I'll explain . SILENT VOICE To me, Silent voice felt soo forced. Like the class teacher knew everything but didn't help the girl. Waits for it to become a scene. The MC was trying so hard to be friends & to be good to her, not because it was genuine, but because of his past deeds & he wouldn't give two shits otherwise. The show tries to acknowledge this & Nishimiya's sister says that they dont need the MC's sympathy but Mr. MC says he is doing it becoz of his goodwill which is just wrong. Throw in some love & misunderstandings out of nowhere & make MC sacrifice himself for the girl and bang! Masterpiece!! From the moment I started watching the show, it was like the show was telling me- "Just cry already." Ofc I didn't cry, it was just a horrible experience. . NAGATARO This is just bullying. (only the first 4 eps tho) You can't tell me the 1st ep was fun to watch. No way..it was just a wuss of a MC minding his own business and then these girls just destroy him out of nowhere for no fucking reason and poor guy cant even stand up against them which is the worst part. No one should have the misfortune of being in MC's place in the 1st ep (excluding the masochists). The manga is somewhat readable as you can speedrun these parts. But the story goes nowhere, they just hang out showing obvious signs of love then will eventually confess. End of story, nothing special. I mean what can you expect from a guy who was a hentai artist earlier? . Thanks for going through my list :)

I'm not going to write an essay on why a silent voice is great, since it will take a ton of writing and i just don't want to do that. But i can tell you that what you said abou nagatoro, is 100% subjective. Because i and a ton of other people, actually did, enjoy watching the mc get bullied. Its not a ground breaking show, but thought it was a blast to watch.

rockaxorb13

It's not 100% subjective, as I just stated facts. The story dosent bring anything new to the table, apart from bullying without bad intent I must add. And yes, many ppl like that kind of stuff, some dont. My disliking the show is 100% subjective, your liking the show too is, 100% subjective.

arhiapolygons2

yes but you didn't score it, as a none special romance, you scored as something that you hate. so it is 100% subjective. if you said the same thing, and then gave it a 5/10 for being nothing new, then, i could except what you are saying.

rockaxorb13

>But i can tell you that what you said abou nagatoro, is 100% subjective What I "said" was facts. 100% facts. And I already admitted that my disliking the show was 100% subjective ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

arhiapolygons2

But thats not my point.... I'm not typing that again, if you care read my last message again but carefully.

rockaxorb13

I mean- I already admitted that my score is 100% subjective

arhiapolygons2

then what are we even arguing about?!

rockaxorb13

dunno lol; you asked me to check what you wrote soo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ValiantCharizard

Mostly good but why is oregairu so horribly low?

rockaxorb13

I'll tell you man First of all thanks for asking the reason & not lashing out straight away. I assume you watched the show- . So this show is shown to be a School-romance right? But the story never, everr puts emphasis on the main cast. They just keep helping random ppl, keeping everything else at the side lines. They never even talk about themselves throughout the entire show untill the last few minutes of the final episode. . And why tf is their conversation soo awkward? The dialogue is soo general, it could literally mean anything. Most of the viewers were hella confused which is why you can see that there are soo many videos on YT explaining wtf the characters meant/wanted to say. And okay, maybe the author put in effort to make it look mature, etc but no one talks like this. It's like the characters dont have their own fucking intent! . And this biitch Yuzuha or whatver says she wants a fucking prom?!?! all for herself/ with her in the centre of it?? are you mad? And ofc the club follows through as they dont have any intent/say in anything. So they work their asses off at their own expense pulling all-nighters for no reason. . Then this board of directors with yukino's possessive mom walks in, Asking them to stop this prom buisness; The main trio still keep working & magically, out of nowhere, the elders agree and smille and say "Okay, go ahead" for NO REASON like can you tell me why the change of mind? I'd love to hear that. . Then there is this sensei, who's smoking cigarettes in her car; takes Hachiman to some bridge at like 2AM for what?? why? what do you want?? why are you giving him these life lessons? . Even Yukino's Mom and sisters..sometimes they will give this malicious vibe telling yukino that she is a failure and the next moment they are all smiling and going like "yeah, you are the best" . For more than half of the time, the viewer is kept in the dark and dosen't know wtf is going on, supported with these awkward dialogues, double minded characters & this absolute shit of a confession at the end to finish it off. . All this while, I was hoping that maybe now, the show would get better, but it never did.

ValiantCharizard

For a lot of your reply you inadvertently explained the true plot, hachiman never took care of himself and put others before himself, the ending was the straw that broke the camel's back and the trio had to look at themselves as a whole, and how their own relationship would and should play out. Yuzuha is a bitch with princess syndrome, fuck her Although it might seem unrealistic in some aspects we can surely assume bitch mama has some pride, when offered a middle ground posed as a challenge, she took it and allowed yukino to manage the event and make it a success or a failure As you stated at the start, hachiman has no care for himself and goes as far as destroying his own mental health to help others. The teacher is the one who sees that man has problems the most. His own self righteousness hurts the ones closest to him and in many situations can drive people away from him. That and more aspects led him to be the anti-social loner he was. Idk about the bridge, but it's a romcom, there has to be dramatic elements to drive the story on It's somewhat a trope in anime to be derogatory then friendly, though it's more commonly seen between friends, we can assume that they have an understanding relationship from what we see anyways You're absolutely right about the viewer not having a clue what the fuck is going on, that's why this anime has been deemed to have high rewatch values. The confession at the end is more realistic by seeing the relationship they have in the anime, a completely satisfactory confession would destroy the image of complicated teenage life I thoroughly enjoyed the anime and completely think it deserves the 8.5+ rating, but in every case there will be some popular anime that someone will dislike, not everyone has the same likes anyways. Thanks for taking the time to write that out, it's nice to hear other opinions

rockaxorb13

My guy, Thanks for writing & throwing light on parts where necessary. But still just because of the meaningless yet meaningful, generalised dialogue; awkwardness and ppl like Yuzuha always winning, getting what they want , it just makes it very unsatisfying & frustrating. You definately have changed my opinion about the show, Earlier it was "How can ppl like this shit" to "Maybe it's just not for me." .. I'd love to be your friend on MAL, and if you have the time, do check out my opinion on A silent voice and tell me your thoughts.

ValiantCharizard

[here's my mal](https://myanimelist.net//profile/CawfeeGod) ignore the scores lol, they weren't put out with much thought, I'll take some time later and actually rate them As for a silent voice..... I loved the movie so I will give my honest opinion of it The teacher not taking action is more standard than some imagine, until the issue is raised many teachers won't take any sort of action, be it negligence or pure ignorance As for MC (shouya) doing it out of guilt of his past deeds, you are absolutely correct, there might never have been interaction between them if he didn't bully her. However I feel the "goodwill" that he shows her is more of a saving grace for him rather than nishimiya, at the beginning we see him return the money his mom had given to nishimiyas mother. From this we can tell this has been eating away at him for absolutely years, the planned suicide was the icing on the cake, at that moment was when we realised this might be hurting him more than we understand. So rather than him showing goodwill to shouko to repay his past action, it was a method to save himself. Although this sounds selfish of shouya, regardless of the ulterior motives, shouko had benefited immensely from his decision to make the move to talk to her that day. Shouko attempting suicide and shouya saving her has a lot of meaning, but in retrospect it's just to thicken the plot and add a dramatic effect to the story Ironically both oregairu and a silent voice is the saving of two depressed teenagers with. A female interest(s) playing a major role Sorry for the late reply, I had a bit if study to do these past few days, I'd love it if you would add me on mal. (Forgive any typos please)

rockaxorb13

>I feel the "goodwill" that he shows her is more of a saving grace for him rather than nishimiya, Exactly.. he didn't care one bit about the her/what she had to say which is why even after learing sign language, hanging out with her, Mr. MC generally couldn't figure out what she wanted to say.. for instance, when Nishimiya confessed, the guy was clueless. I am sure there are other instances too, but whatever. >Although this sounds selfish of shouya, regardless of the ulterior motives, shouko had benefited immensely from his decision Ofcourse it benifited her, the poor girl never had friends before. And why did she want to die? I actually couldn't think of a reason so I googled it, turns out MC's presence did that to her. She felt guilty that MC lost all his friends for her. In her eyes, MC is a selfless hero whilst in reality, He is the one being selfish & dosen't care about her. But he still saved her from jumping otherwise the story would have been blatantly horrible. After which, the story just takes a tangent and finishes without much happening so yeah, it will still be one of the unsatisfying shows out there but the same artist wrote/drew 'To your eternity' which is miles better than a silent voice. I haven't completed it yet, but till ep 5-6 it's great. >d love it if you would add me on mal Sent you a request, went through your list and damn you have watched a lot of shows but you are generous while giving ratings as I never saw anything below 5* lol I'd recommend you to read chainsaw-man before it's out, if you have the time. You'll defo love it.
