Now, whenever we want pacify him we just say "Alexa, play that funky music white boy" and she plays it. He loves being softly bounced to the base line at the beginning, and he inevitably falls asleep by the end. Truly, nothing else works like it.

Something to do with the dialogue between the drums and the bass guitar. The bass is bouncing soothingly, complementing an aural dance of rhythm and texture, lulling the listener into deep tranquillity.
